Possibly the best music talent ever produced in Africa. Way way underrated and it breaks my heart everytime. Talent never gets bigger than this. This woman deserves to be the first Grammy winner of African singers of her generation
Asa is just wonderful. I just wish they would play her music on mainstream radio. She deserves far more recognition.

This lady's music embodies the unity of thought, sense and sexuality. You can think deep, slip into a meditative trance, make love, rejoice, be sad, be mad just listening to her deceptively simple lyrics and melodies.
I've always loved the Yoruba language (I'm Ibo, if you care), but her evocation of its idioms and sensual syntax completely absorbs you, especially with that voice of hers.
Asa is a global product, proof of the universality of music. You may not know the words she sings, but you "understand" the meaning of those songs at a higher intuitive level.
She's going to be a great jazz singer some day - although her ballads are already of the highest quality.
Then you are one of the best writers I have come across on earth. Do you have a book written by you? If you don't, please write one. You are talented and know how to put words together beautifully to the admiration of your readers. Permit me to say; "you are a bad ass".

Why put the main hook from "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd in the middle of the Guitar solo is a little baffling. But.... "WOW" what an artist, Asa, some of these tunes are real deep. Those lyrics... speechless!
