    Have your therapists all experienced debilitating anxiety?

      Yes. We only work with therapists who personally struggled with anxiety issues.

    Do your therapists take insurance? Thank you for shedding a positive light on anxiety. Doctors act like you won’t overcome it without medication for the rest of your life.

    Hi Jim, i have always had anxiety but it has just fed my depression and never really been an issue. About a month ago, though, i woke up in the middle of the night in full fight or flight. It lasted for two days at full power and then it started to go back down. On the third day my doc gave me Prednisone and i ended up having my anxiety spike again. Now I'm stuck with constant anxiety and its wrecking my body and life. The doc called it panic disorder and gave me more meds and told me the rest would be reliant on therapy. Im exhausted. How do i go from normal life one day to anxious mess? Is this something your team has experience with? I cant find anyone else who has experienced this and i feel so alone.

      Unfortunately, your experience is too common. We see this a lot in our work. The quickest way through this is by working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist, such as our recommended therapists. While good self-help information is beneficial, working with a knowledgeable therapist is best because you can quickly zoom into the real issues and then start the recovery process. Otherwise, a person can spend a long time trying to figure them out on their own and still miss the important aspects of recovery. You can learn more in the following articles:

    May I please ask you about agoraphobia anxiety. I have P.O.T.S and IBS and I have been told that is why I have the agoraphobia and anxiety. I was a paramedic so I feel like I deal with stress ok and with that all being said I don't panic my head will say you are ok you have got this and my body has the diff ideas .Can I ask your advice about this please.

      Because anxiety can also be subtle, I suggest connecting with one of our recommended therapists to do an assessment. That way, you can better understand your situation and make the necessary changes. This isn't something that can be addressed in a few paragraphs. PoTS and IBS are often symptoms of stress, including anxiety-caused stress. Many people find relief by addressing their anxiety issues. Here again, working with a therapist is the best way forward because there aren't simple answers.

    Does it matter how long you’ve struggled with anxiety ? Im 37 and have struggled most of my adult life , but I’m ready to be done with disordered anxiety, I’m worried it’s all I know

      No, it doesn't matter how long a person has struggled with anxiety. We can learn healthy ways of coping with adversity, uncertainty, and risk at any age and time.

    Hi Jim, can the contraceptive combined pill (Rigevidon) affect hyperstimulation and increase recovery time?

    • @anxietycentre
      @anxietycentre  Před 2 měsíci

      There are some mood-related side effects with it, although it's not indicated as a hyperstimulation aggravator. But since each body is somewhat physiologically unique, anything is possible.
