  • Gun belts for the concealed carry dude (or chick.) A look at different belts that gun guys commonly use as their everyday belt. There will always be pros and cons to different belts, and hopefully I can touch on most of them in this video.

It's not a comprehensive video of every belt available, but it's a pretty good variety. If there is a belt you think I should check out, let me know in the comments! These are just some of the best options for an EDC belt in my opinion.

I'm a former state trooper and current range safety officer and firearm instructor, so I wear a firearm almost everyday, and I use a Kore gun belt. They're easy and quick to get on and off and the ability to adjust how tight the belt is makes them comfortable to wear. Whether carrying IWB or OWB the fit and feel is great. Belts are high quality leather that also look great allowing me to wear them with dress clothes as well. I actually recommend them to customers at my range whenever I can, not just for carry but for any occasion.

I now own 3 gun belts from Kore Essentials and the guys at Kore just keep improving the quality and design of this product, based on earlier models and earlier reviews of this product. I recently received a tan tactical belt and it is one good looking belt, just like the others I own. I honestly have recommended the Kore belt to all my friends and family and i recommend it to anyone looking for a great looking, functional, quality gun belt. The gun belt keepers are also very sturdy, aesthetic and functional.

I purchased the Kore 1 1/2" tactical gun belt to use as a regular belt. The thickness and width of the gun belt styling prevents it from becoming misshapen, and the width prevents my pants from rolling over at the top when bending over, because the belt fills up nearly the entire loop. So far I am very satisfied with this belt. It is a quality belt and it looks great. I have worn ratchet style belts for many years. I love not dealing with holes that are too loose or too tight. Other types of belt buckles slip with activity. Ratchet belts are very adjustable with no slippage.

    Solid belt
As a Maryland state licensed and NRA certified instructor, who teaches in several defensive pistol disciplines, I will suggest this gun belt to all students who choose to wear, as the Armed Citizen, and wants to carry in comfort. Having worn the leather gun belt for the last 6 years, my first day wearing this adjustable belt, I realized comfort for the first time. It has now been three weeks since receiving and wearing the belt comfortably, only fortifies my opinion to suggest this product, hands down. IDPA season is soon upon us, and I am curious to know how the belt will weather the abuse, more reviews on the way.
**update, I have used this belt for everyday carry since buying it. I have competed in two IDPA matches. It's SOLID! I recommend this to all my students, fellow instructors and competitors. GREAT PRODUCT, soon to be imitated, which is the greatest flattery. Stay safe all.

    Essential gear
This is my second purchase from Kore. I've worn the first belt, pretty much every day, for the past seven months. I purchased the second one so that I could have both brown and black options. The belt has held up well to daily use and easily held the weight of a firearm in an iwb holster. The ratcheting buckle system is amazing also. With the 1/4 inch adjustability, it is easy to find a position that fits perfectly, and the ratcheting system is ridiculously easy to use and adjust throughout the day. I don't have any desire to go back to the normal "hole" system on other belts. I highly recommend these belts if you carry a firearm or other gear.

I am the director/Lead Instructor at Blue Ridge Marksmanship and recently tested out a Kore Essentials leather gun belt/ X3 buckle for just over 21 days. Since I carry a full size Smith and Wesson M&P as my EDC gun, carried at either AIWB or 3 o’clock IWB, I wanted a belt/buckle that ‘blended in’ and didn’t draw attention to the fact that I am carrying. It was subjected to an absurd test for a leather belt as it was worn 10-12 hours, almost every day, instructing firearms, in the rain, humid conditions, on the range, dropping trees, performing range maintenance AND at business meetings. The Kore Essentials belt performed unbelievably; always maintaining shape, constantly allowing a smooth/fast draw and the belt looked good enough to be worn with slacks to professional events at the end of the testing. This is one beast of a belt that can handle anything you throw at it and will come out looking new!

This belt changed my life, seriously!
I absolutely love this belt!. The inherent issue with a traditional gun belt with holes is one hole is a little too loose and the next a little tight. It starts to cut off circulation after a little while so you settle for too loose. That has its own set of issues, and this belt obviously solves all of these hands down. Being able to adjust it so finely while also looking like a traditional belt and not a "tactical" belt is the best thing that's ever happened to my daily concealed carry!

Ordered a Kore gun belt on a Monday, got it on a Thursday (a couple of months ago). Cut it to the specs that they recommend. I have a full size gun (Springfield XDM 3.8 barrel, holds 19 1) and had been using an Old Navy belt. What a difference. The Kore belt is a bit stiff at first, but once you wear it a while, it starts to slide through the loops easily. It's plenty stiff and thick for wearing a holstered weapon in any location on your waist. My favorite part is definitely the buckle. I can now ACTUALLY fit my belt to my waist, firearm on it or not. I am saving up to buy the brown belt, so I can wear it with anything in my wardrobe, but I would HIGHLY recommend this belt to anyone in the gun community. Well done, Kore Trakline.

After several failed attempts to obtain a comfortable gun belt for EDC the Kore Essentials belt met all my expectations. The quality rigidity, comfort and price filled the bill. I would highly recommend this belt to anyone looking for one. Another feature that was really important was that being a big person the belt was plenty big and it allowed me to adjust it to my size with no problem.

I received my new KORE Trakline X2 Gun Buckle & Black Reinforced Belt today. I order this for my CCW weapon which is a Glock-36 (45acp) and I have to say this belt holds my OWB holster with gun & 2 spare mags perfectly! The belt is very comfortable and I really like how the trakline & ratcheting buckle system works. It's NO joke! You will get the perfect fit every time you put this belt on. :) Throw out your old style of belts that has the holes.. No more oh it's too tight or to loose. I can not see myself ever going back to a belt with holes for adjustments now that I have my new Kore Trakline Belt. It's a perfect fit every time I put it on. The quality of the leather is Top-Notch. This belt is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Thank you Kore Essentials for Great Customer Service, Fast Shipping, and An Awesome Belt !

I have to say, that this is a great gun belt! i really like the X4 Buckle it is very nice and looks great! also have the X2 and that is a great buckle too you can not go wrong with either buckle. i have wore a gun belt for over 20 yrs and the Kore belt is by far the Best GUN Belt i have ever wore. For those who have wore a duty belt (a good Duty belt) you can now have that level of stability it a belt for off duty carry. i purchased the Tactical Gun Belt because I'm one size bigger than their leather belt but I'm so happy that i chose their Tactical belt, it is the one i choose over all the rest and i put my money were my mouth is. I have already bought 2 more (1 Tan 1 Black) so that i can have them ready for different load out options .Keep up the great work on these great products. also the Kore Bi-fold wallet is very nice as well.

Ended up purchasing both the leather and tactical Kore belts. Quality is top notch and the feel is even better. Firmly secures all items and no issues even with a full size handgun. The latching mechanism is great, true fit every time. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quality belt.

Excellent example of a great gun belt.I wear this Kore gun belt everyday. It is a awesome belt that is extremely sturdy and looks great. I have also gotten several compliments on the belt and buckle themselves, which is unusual in I have never gotten a compliment on a belt before. As far as carrying with my EDC it has been a pleasure. The only way someone knows I'm carrying is if I tell them or they notice the clip from my holster. The belt is very unassuming that way. I have not noticed any flex or wear marks and the ratchet system works every time. I now own 2 of these belts and would buy again.

Best casual gun belt on the market! I have used the brown and black Kore gun belt for about a month now. It is by far, the best casual gun belt on the market, in my opinion. I use mine to carry my duty weapon along with spare mags while attending court. I would definitely buy more of your products.

These Kore belts make excellent gun belts, much better than even the stiffest plain leather belts I have. Their resistance to sagging and twisting (due to the poly-core layer) allows them to hold the gun and holster more securely and closer to the body than other belts. However, my favorite feature is the Trak-Line adjustment system. The 1/4” adjustments (actually about 6mm, which is slightly less than 1/4”) means never again having to deal with a belt that is a bit too loose or a bit too tight. The belts are easily adjusted to perfect snugness regardless of the clothing worn. Whether summer or winter, jeans or shorts, dress shirts, flannel shirts, or T-shirts, tucked in, or not, these belts can be quickly and easily adjusted to be just right. The only improvement I can think of would be if they offered more styles of belts and buckles.

Kore Gun Belt exactly what I've been looking for
I recently visited my local gun show and was looking at a carry/conceal belt and was right on the verge of purchasing it. I'm very glad I didn't purchase the belt from the gun show. The Kore Trakline belt is far superior than any belt I've owned, and seen in person. My advice to anyone is to really consider Trakline before any other belt....you will NOT regret it!!

    Best Gun/Everyday belt to date
Great - I have used many belts to carry sub-compact to compact firearms. This belt not only is extremely comfortable and holds up the weight with no issues, but it also looks great! The leather and multiple buckle options make this a great belt for everyday use. I can where it for EDC, casual wear, or wear it with my suit. Aside from the practical use and style - One of the main selling points here is the trak system. No more holes that stretch out and that can never seem to get the right fit. The trakline system allows for micro adjustments so that you can control the comfort from sitting, standing, long car rides, etc. I have recommended this belt to friends and family who have purchased this product and also love it. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who carries regularly or who just wants a stylish and inovative new look to replace thier old belts.

I’ve gone through many gun belts and the Kore is the best I’ve found. You get perfect adjustments with the ratchet system. Thick and strong for zero movement when heavily weighted. No more pain in the a$$ cobra buckles, loud Velcro in public bathrooms, or belts with adjusting holes that are either a tad tighter or looser, this is the only belt I’ll buy. Had the leather Kore belt for years and it has held up great. This new tactical version is even stronger!

Love my Kore belt and I haven't taken it off since it came in the mail. I have tried several other gun belts and none had the strength to withstand my carry gun and the two mag carriers that accompany it while giving me this level of comfort and easy of use. But the Kore ratcheting system works superbly and the craftsmanship in the belts construction is fantastic. Whether I'm wearing my carry gun or not this is the only belt I reach for every morning. This belt for anyone who is having trouble finding a strong, durable carry belt that still looks and feels great. It's a 10 outta 10 !

I've ran through TONS of belts in my life. This by far is the best belt I've ever had. It does what it's meant to do, it hold up gun/extra mag and my pants up. Very comfortable and very "fashionable" belt. I will definitely recommend this belt to friends and relatives. Going to give it a 2-3 month run and do a review on my CZcams channel to show how it hold up after some months. Thanks Kore Essentials!

    @jpap1059 Před 6 lety +1

I now own 2 Kore gun belts. The first is the X3 leather belt that I've had for over a year and it has held up wonderfully. I wear it to work every day and it has not worn or shown any sign of wear yet. The second I recently bought is the X4 stainless steel buckle and tan tactical belt. Wow! I have a couple of other belts from other manufacturers and these are better by far. First of all, it is stiff enough to hold my Glock 21 and 2 extra mags with absolutely no sag or buckling in the belt. It holds up perfectly and distributes the weight quite well. The best part about this belt though is the ratcheting system. No more having to lift up my shirt, undo Velcro and pull on a buckle that doesn’t give. This ratcheting system is pure genius. I can make those after meal adjustments with one hand and do so just a little bit at a time. So, if you are looking for a great, comfortable, easy adjustable gun belt I highly recommend these Kore gun belts.

The Kore Essentials is my first purpose built carry belt and I'm very impressed. I wanted something that I could wear with regular clothes that wasn't an inch thick "tactical" looking belt. This is the perfect solution. It's easy to use and adjust quickly, thin but very supportive (I EDC a CZ P01... not a light firearm) and I can wear it with casual or dress clothing without it looking out of place. Most of all, I like not having to play a guessing game as to which size belt to buy you go through with standard buckle belts. I recommended this to a family member and he loves it as well. I will absolutely buy this again.

  • @moots13181
    @moots13181 Před 5 lety

I got a Kore gun belt and it's the best all purpose belt ever. I love how easy it is to micro adjust during the day or even while sitting in the car or at a big dinner. Way better than belt holes. The inner core has more than enough integrity to hold up anything I’ve thought to test it with. The only thing I would recommend is don't fold the belt over, instead hang the belt using their belt hanger or coil it. Re-tightening the belt is as simple as pushing the cinching side into the buckle ratchet which can be done upon standing up and after re-tucking in ones shirt. One unexpected benefit of my new belt is that if I leave it on a pair of work pants it makes them easy to hang up on a hook the night before but also put on in the morning as the belt holds the pants in shape to easily step into.

I have to say there is nothing more comfortable or convenient than my Kore gun belt. I came across them about a year ago while looking for an edc belt that was comfortable and rigid. I liked it so much I bought them as Christmas gifts for my father and my brother. They love them too! In fact everyone of us still use these belts on a daily basis. I just recently purchased the nylon belt (my original purchase was leather) and it's even more rigid than the leather. I love the versatility of the system too. I was able to use the buckle I already have from my previous leather Kore belt and only had to purchase the nylon portion. I carry virtually every day so I prefer having the extra rigid capability of the nylon that can support my gear. I would never buy another belt from anywhere else.

I've been a fan of the Wilderness frequent flyer belts myself. When I started carrying a gun, I gave no thought to the belt and used the really flimsy leather stuff. Then I broke down and got a Wilderness. I started off with a 1 1/4" wide belt, because that was the width of the leather belts I'd been using. That worked pretty well for a lot of years, but switching up to a 1 1/2" was a big help. This belt uses a dual-ring style "buckle" and velcro to secure the tag end. Micro adjustments are easy, you can tension or relax the belt as needed. It's not as quick to undo as a cobra - but not being in the adult film industry, nor do I have medical conditions that have me frequenting a toilet - I don't have to undo my pants but a couple times a day usually so quick release isn't a huge thing.
The belt that you stated you hated looks an awful lot like an SOE, though I thought the SOE belt has less tag material that holds the cobra on? Maybe a knock off?

I have a kore gun belt and I can honestly say it's awesome for edc! Way better than the cheap flimsy ratchet belts. It's a solid gun belt to hold your holster safely and it looks good too! The micro adjustments you can make are just perfect. The only “issue” would be its pretty hard to clamp the buckle in place once it is cut to size. The instructions seemed to indicate you could do it with your hands but I needed tools. It worked without issues but I worried about breaking the buckle. All in all this is one fantastic gun belt!!

  • @dunerevo

I've been wearing the Kore trakline gun belt for about a month now, and it's awesome. It is very comfortable and I love how adjustable it is. I don't know about you, but I start out the day a little on the heavy side, and end the day a little thinner, so having a belt that I can make just a tiny bit tighter throughout the day is great. There is also no visible wear to the belt, even where my gun sits and no sign of damage to the leather from the metal clip of my holster. If you are looking for a comfortable and durable CCW belt, look no further.

KORE is an Excellent Gun Belt
Initially apprehensive, after the first week I'm impressed with the quality, looks and function of this Kore gun belt. The firm insert gives it comparative slimness versus that thick leather Cop Belt look. The full adjustability on the fly function makes it easy to go from a walking, snug, fit to a looser seated tension without wearing it high gut like a duty belt. Even with small IWB there is no chance of holster flip and can be worn as a normal belt as long as you can deal with the Hulla Hoop effect when you drop your drawers. Call it good to go. I'm sold and would consider additional purchases.

The Kore Essentials Trakline belt is awesome when going with a non-tactical look. It's my absolute favorite belt now. A million times better than a traditional CC leather gun belt. Being able to make these micro adjustments makes carrying so much more comfortable. If I’m in the car for a while, or sitting in a theater, I can let out a couple clicks. I actually own 4 Kore belts. I wont buy another from any other
manufacturer. I have two dress belts (non-gun) and two of their edc gun belts.
The gun belts hold my full size duty arm just right. No sagging or warping from
the weight. I am 5'11" and 250 lbs. The levers and release are strong!!!
So as you can tell, I highly recommend them! Even my father and father
in-law are now hooked since I gifted them one last Christmas.

I love my Kore Essentials belts! I've been wearing the X1 black ccw version for about a year and a half, almost everyday with jeans and with dress clothes. The leather is in excellent shape, but I decided to replace the buckle as it had a few scratches from normal wear and tear. The new buckle made the entire belt feel like brand new. And, I don't know if they have changed how they make the buckles, but it feels even more high quality than the original buckle I had. Highly recommend Kore belts !

Don't forget that G-Code EDC belt. It has a similar buckle to the 5.11 but it is made of steel. The belt itself is super rigid and sturdy. I ordered one on Black Friday 2017 and have been wearing it since. It is a great belt. Holds my G19 in an Incog Eclipse like a charm.

trakline's ability to adjust in 1/4in increments is perfect for keeping a
CCW close to the body without printing, as well as, provide a perfect
fit with or without carrying. Highly recommend and will purchase another

There are more 5.11 belts out there that are better than the inexpensive one you showcased, the Metal Buckle tac belts are rigid and thicker and I've had mine for 4 years and it barely has any wear on it. I use it almost every day with no issues, it comes in multiple colors and width's 1.5 and 1.75. It tightens well and fits snugly into my LAPG Urban OPs pants with the rest of my EDC which is Sig Sauer P320F, 2 extra Mags, Knife, Multi-tool, Stun-Gun Flash light combo, collapsible Baton, Lighter, handcuffs, keys, phone, wallet and braided length of paracord.

    KORE Reinforced Gun Belt
The Kore Trakline gun belt is a good compromise between a true competitor belt and a dress/casual belt. Every day I openly carry a SW MP 9mm, 5 inch barrel, with 3 spare mags (65 rounds). The Kore belt allows me to comfortably carry. I feel this is due to the stiffness of the belt, its ~1/4" thickness, and its 1/4 inch adjustment. It is stiff enough to support my EDC, but is not so stiff or thick that it is difficult to use with either of my Safariland belt slide attachments. On the range, I wear suspenders. My suspenders attach as easily to this belt as to my thinner previous belt. I carry in a Safariland 7TS ALS holster with Guard and QLS. With the Kore belt, my holstered pistol is more secure during running or other strenuous motion. Quality and construction are good. I wear the belt to work, church, and the range. Sizing was easy. Good value and quick shipping.

Super Bio Urethane gun belts are under 50 bucks.. have a traditional heavy duty stainless buckle, are stiff, and will literally last you a lifetime.. I did the Cobra and Riggers belt thing for about three years and found that they have some significant shortcomings as gun/edc belts.. One think i began to find exhausting is feeling like your a 1960's beat cop donning his duty rig everytime you get dressed in the morning.. Just too much crap to deal with.. I love my Glocks but until i can get a 43 i dont think anything can break up the love affair im having with my lloz Smith M342 Air Lite Ti J frame in 38 special.. Im in coastal GA at the moment but when i move back North i think i would carry a G27 outside the wasteband on that SuperBio belt.. Liger belt is the same material but i did not like the buckle system..

The Kore belt is awesome. It was easy to cut to length with the ruler marks printed on the belt that makes it a breeze. The adjustablity is outstanding. I would buy this belt just as a normal belt, without the reinforced core. Where has this belt been? My holster stays put and comfortable. The only thing you have to worry about is when you are securing those teeth- they are sharp. Lol

I know this is an older video but I wanted to leave this here Mike because I know some people might find the information useful. I LOVE the snake eater tactical belt you reviewed a long time ago too, but man I gotta say this Kore belt is truly amazing compared to anything else IMO.:
I have both the Kore 2.0 version X1 and X5 Leather and Nylon tactical belts and MAN I will never go back to a cobra buckle belt or any
other “gun” belt. Even Nexbelts, I own a few of those and they’re good, but they’re nowhere near the quality of the new Kore 2.0 belts! For those that don't know, there are two major track style gun belt brands out there... Kore and Nexbelt. Kore was the first
to come to market with the track style gun belts and soon after Nexbelt appeared. Well at that time, Nexbelt's pricing was much cheaper, so I decided to stick with them. But now the Nexbelt pricing has surpassed the Kore pricing, but the quality has not. When
I got my first Kore gun belt I was BLOWN AWAY by the subtle differences. The small attention to detail with Kore like the rounded edges of the belt, the proprietary inner core which helps keep the belt rigid and hugs close to your body. The Kore buckles are
also superior quality; you can easily with one hand release the buckle when it’s at max tension; near impossible to do one handed. The build quality is top notch, & though the design is similar, the ‘manufacturing’ is on another level. The ONLY thing I wish,
is that Kore had more colors! ALL my Nexbelt’s dig into my hips no matter where I position my belt & it creates a sore along my midsection. The Kore belt does NOT have this problem! It's nice n smooth against your midsection and somehow it does NOT cut into
your side especially if you're on the heavier side (with love handles). It's a 10/10 for me.
