    I’m a medical malpractice defense attorney and this doctor’s actions are indefensible. Of course, that’s assuming the sister’s account is accurate. Anesthesia dosing is no joke. The fact that he transported her that way suggested he was trying to hide his error, which was probably a contributing factor in a patient already seizing.

    • @paradisesunprincess
      @paradisesunprincess Před měsícem +1

      Why are the doctor's actions indefensible? That news clip didn't even say what the cause of death was. The fact that he transported her in his personal vehicle suggests that it would have taken too long for an ambulance to come get her. That's why he took her himself

  • @pamellablessslimmas2565
    @pamellablessslimmas2565 Před měsícem +10

    The doctor should have stayed with the patient and accompanied her to the hospital. Incompetence and negligence contributed to her death. There is more to this story, which only the doctor knows himself. He shouldn't be allowed to practice and hold accountable / charge.
    Surprisingly, an autopsy wasn't done. This goes to show that doctors covered for doctors. The police also played a part in the cover-up.
    Good on the family to pursue. The next step is to sue.

  • @user-ky8do9vw3t
    @user-ky8do9vw3t Před měsícem +19

    You see, this is the damn problem in that country. Once the person arrives dead, an autopsy is mandatory. Cuz law enforcement needs to know if foul play is a factor. Secondly, the patient should have been transported by ambulance so she could be stabilized on her way to the hospital. It seems to me the patient had died before she left the doctors office and there was an attempt to cover up what really happened. Now, to be fair, accidents do happen, but when a person lose their lives through medical negligence some one has to pay for that. One year suspension means nothing. What I find some of these doctors are doing they are taking on surgical cases in their private offices which should really be done on an outpatient basis in a hospital and people are needlessly losing their lives because of this.

    People can be allergic to anaesthesia, and it seems that is the case. Nothing could have saved her unless epinephrine was administered.

    Where is the MINISTER OF HEALTH in all of this? As usual missing in action! Only when these malpractice affects the rich/Upper-class then serious actions are taken, but these malpractice happens daily to the lower class of Jamaicans, and there are no alarms!🤐

    He will get no patients that's I can say. Also, the police did not have to be the one to order autopsy; the family should've insisted that one is done for their own closure 😢
    This is why I'm so afraid of anesthetics, they even have to give this for doing colonoscopies and endoscopic procedures.
    I had to get sedated to remove my wisdom teeth and, to God be the Glory he kept and i am here today because of his grace and mercy.
    God, thank you for all that you continue to do and, i pray that you will hold the hands of all who pass through to see this today or anytime at all. Let us all come to ask for forgiveness and change our hearts to serve you, in Jesus's name, Amen.
