Thank you for doing this content, I've been trying to find anyone talking about sensor qualities for a bit. BTW, I own the EPIX GEN 2 and love it. I have not personally seen anything strange with my watch, though its hard to get comparable raw data in this. I subbed :)
Thanks! I think it’s more of a small wrist issue with possibly a mixture of plates in my broken arm that could cause issues. Thank you :-) more vids coming soon
Hi, great opinion review. Sorry about the shitty vodafone connectivity. Do you have to charge it every night though? I thought it had more juice to it then that.
I’m sending my Ultra 2 back today for the very reason of the cellular connection. In a month it’s never connected to my o2 account regardless of how pair times it’s reset unpaired and re connected. Shame as it’s a lovely watch.
For the price of the Apple you could get the fenix 7 pro that has the new heart rate sensors, one thing Garmin does not tell you is that on just normal watch mode, only two of the heart rate LED lights work to save battery and i find it to be not accurate in just general day to day heart rate mode, but the second you put an activity all the 6 or 8 LED lights turn on. Just food for thought.
I wouldn’t say one is definitely more accurate as all wrist straps have leeway in their readings. However I would recommend the Apple Watch purely for the personal reason that I went of the calories burned for loosing weight and consistently I managed to loose weight using its active calories burned readings. Always know with both watches they may be not 100% accurate but fairly close.
I do not believe that Garmin turns off LED. With that said there is an option in the Garmin app to disable smart recordings. I would turn that off. Also you are comparing much older tech to your apple watch. I am not a Garmin fanboy lol. I use a Pixel Watch 2, Oura Ring 3 and Garmin watches (i have multiple over 12 years of Garmin use). Best option is opt go a chest strap both devices can connect to one and that will provide much better data.
It’s so weird that your cellular isn’t working. My my phone died while I was out yesterday and the cellular on my watch kicked right in so I was able to call and text
The new pro model sensor is the best I’ve used. I love both watches but ended up settling on my 7x pro. Great video!
I think the connectivity issues are mostly due to where you are based sometimes. I’ve never had any issues with the ultra 2 in London for example.
Thanks for the review. I uhave the epix 2 non pro and AWU2 . Will not sell my garmin . I get 2-3 days no problem from the AWU2
Thanks for the test
No problem! I’ll have a review video soon :)

The watch usually picks up the pulse better if you have it on the inside of the wrist. Then it’s closer to the artery.

It will last 2days maybe 3 at a push however I just stick it on charge every night just for ease of knowing it’s full.

You should have switched your O2 to a normal Mobile Provider. Why do you think the issue you have caused by Watch?

Completely agree! Mine was terrible at day to day monitoring outwith exercise.
Thanks for the stats but which one do you think is correct ?

can Apple Watch sync to Strava?
Yeh 😊

That was actually 8 calories difference 😅
Not a material difference. Plus, calorie expenditure is an estimate at best.
I’ve not had one issue either my ultra ever sorry your ultra is not working properly
