Glad you liked it!

There's a feature in Photoshop called "content aware fill" that comes in handy when removing things that are blocking!
ok!!! very helpful!!! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
still doesn't work perfectly on busy backgrounds, but definitely worth trying, when it works...it's amazing!

Thank you!
you explain everything so clearly im really impressed. As a tip, i'd make every layer a smart object before transforming (as you did with the train) because photoshop makes those layers lower resolution and when you make them bigger they look blurry. The rest was spot on and I learned a few tricks too
Ten years ago, I did a tour of European music festivals and Sziget was easily the best. Such a fine spirit. The finest I saw in Europe.
@Somorjai Elemér Is that why?
Hey those are hungarian trams right?🤪
9 years ago I visited Sziget and it was hands down the best vibe at a festival I have visited. Unforgettable week with two old friends. We have gone our own way since, but I'm sure we all reminisce about that summer with fondness.
@@JM1675 Yes, easily the best vibe/ spirit of any music festival I ever experienced. It was something else. Just walking around it was a joy, like floating (and I was completely sober).

This is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen. I watched the whole thing. You are so calm and detailed. Thank you.
glad u think so! thanks a lot
The first time i did this was in 720x576 in 1999 , seeing this done years later in such nice definition means that i'm going to revisit this!! Many projects the 3d guys at work thought they would be doing certain parts of the job, however AE used to do so much more than they expected, One of the cool things about becoming a 3d guy was being an AE guy first..!!! Cannot imagine how much harder my job would be if i had not come the route i did. Brilliant video!! thank you for sharing.
Bro I need you to know you're really awesome for posting this. I haven't been this engaged in a tutorial in a while. The speed of which you teach, the background music not being too loud and the over all quality of this is perfect. Earned a sub from me. Looking forward to more uploads. Respect!
Glad to hear it! welcome aboard
I love this tutorial, it combines selecting, cleaning, reconstruction, camera work, animation all in one. This should definitely be a "must try" for beginners even if they don't want to make this specifically, but the amount of tricks and knowledge you can learn from this is really useful. Later on you can use all this information and make new correlations for new type of work. Thank you!!
Wow, thanks! I do my best to share as much as I can
Already watched like x5 times during my hope-education process through AE and Photoshop. This is best tutorial Ive ever seen. Pls more tutorials by u
😍
I know I’ll probably lose my mind trying to use this technique but nonetheless, this is simply a great video, it’s concise and very clear and easy to understand
Don't forget by adding the perspective of the shadow animation from the train according to the perspective of the object shadows on the ground or depending where the light source in the scene is coming from would also help in creating a realistic look to the scene as well. Nice video!!!
good point
@@MDMZ Don't forget, since you cloned the train car over and over, things are going to get weird when all those lookalikes get off at the station.
Took me a whole day to get something I liked. I’ve never used photoshop or after effects before so this was a struggle. Thanks for the run down
Glad it helped!
So I took an After Effects course in college and to be quite honest I think I have learned more from you in this 30 minute video than I did in that entire semester. It was a basics to after effects I suppose and we did learn everything from scratch not knowing a single bit of knowledge of this program. However as advanced as I'm sure this is, the break down you did with this project made it seem so simple. With being able to see the keys you are pressing on the screen as well as telling us exactly what you are doing makes this video incredible. You have an incredible art talent as well as an act for teaching. This is the first video I've watched of yours so if you are a teacher your doing and incredible job. If you aren't a teacher then you have an amazing act for teaching. I would highly encourage you to teach. Keep up the amazing work and I hope you continue to make tutorials like this!
wow! I really appreciate it 🙏
I watched this video years ago and it shows how much Photoshop has improved, because all of the time consuming, painstaking stuff in this video can be done almost instantly in 2024. Glad I came back to this, because it's super easy to do now.
that's amazing! may I know which tools you used to speed up the process ?
@@MDMZ I haven't tried anyting yet, but I was thinking of how generative fill and neural fllters would make a lot of what you were doing in the video take only seconds now.

wow you guys are so creative
Thanks Alot .I Lerned a lot from this tutorial 😍
Instead of:
- create new layer
- select fill tool
- change color to red
- click empty area of canvas
You can:
- create solid color layer
- select red
Not only is it half the steps, but the color can easily be change by double-clicking the solid color layer
thanks for the tip
Or shorten it further by having the layer mask selected. And hitting the “ | “ key on the keyboard. * Or “q” as one of the other comments suggested.
What that does is give the layer mask a red colour for all the “transparent” areas. (:
Edit: didn’t get a chance to go though the comments and it was mentioned already my bad xD
@@canorousdesign or shorten it even further by closing the apps and go back to playing playstation.

Glad to hear
Omg, so much work is involved with just a 6 sec of animation! Good stuff man!

exactly what i needed, tysm
Thats a nice easy tutorial to understand how to set motion on after effects , would be nice to see you adding movement to a old picture like somebody riding a bycicle or a car, or war pictures a plane flying by or a ship .
Great tutorial. Very well explained. The only suggestion I have is that the shadow for the train was coming straight towards the camera instead of being angled towards the lower-right, as the other shadows were. Otherwise, this whole scene could easily pass as a movie clip. Love it!
an other gold tutorial ! thank you very much for evrything !

At a point in life I found myself laying paths w/the pen tool to lacrosse heads/mesh, full-size soccer goals, soccer, lacrosse and rugby hard and soft goods.
Everyone, at some point thinks they can knock it out quicker or easier . . . To avoid the zen detail and precision, which is silhouetting objects with the pen tool. Gotta own it. Thanks for spreading the word that these processes require patience and time for all involved.
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen all day
wow!
Very good tutorial! I found it really useful. I appreciate how the final product exists in its own reality which is not really any specific city in general. It clearly has a European feel in the foreground (Budapest, as I've seen in the comments), but we know it isn't because of the skyscrapers. And then at the same time, anyone who recognizes the Sears Tower will see that the skyline is Chicago, but also that this scene could never exist because there is no land where this photo was taken. At first that sort of bugged me, but I actually really like the fact that this is a totally manufactured scene that combines European and American city life. Very nice!
