This song is so fast because it’s a live version! That’s why it says live in Las Vegas in parentheses. If you have never seen the video of him performing it I urge you to do so! He blows away any performer on the planet. Elvis was a god of showmanship!

Bridget Shipp I'm a retired ETA and actually miss it's not fast. Elvis did 3 different speeds of this song. One album version I call the regular sound and two live faster versions.
