Carolina Reapers have a heat index of 2.2 Million Scoville units. In comparison, the hottest jalapeño is about 8 thousand scoville units. Now for the fun part: Dried peppers (like the ones on this sandwich) tend to be more hot because capsaicin (the heat substance basically) is oil based and doesn't evaporate. So 12 dried Carolina Reapers is effin hot.

I can't even smell Carolina Reapers without my stomach wanting to retch!! 🌶
I ate just a sliver of a Carolina reaper with no seeds and it's without a doubt the hottest thing you'd ever put in your mouth. I had drool, snot, and tears for a good 20 minutes before it subsided. We grew them in our garden right next to the bell peppers and one of the bell pepper plants was to close and it got cross pollinated with the reaper somehow. So we had plant with spicy bell peppers. It wasn't reaper hot though it was about jalapeno hot and tasted delicious cooked with some squash and onion. I saved some seeds that I plan on planting hoping it turns out to be spicy again.
@@jessigames8593 try the Paqui one chip challenge. It literally caused me to have an asthma attack.
@@sandmanfightingsysfem2907 I haven't done the one chip challenge but I did buy the paqui ghost pepper chips. They had some heat but wasn't unbearable. I enjoy watching others do the challenges more than myself 😜 lol
