- Gold Rush! Gold Rush is fun & unique Mine Train themed Roller Coaster, located at Rainbow's End Theme Park in Auckland, New Zealand! Here is an On-Ride POV of the Attraction.
Featuring a Dark Ride section with Animatronics, interactions with the Log Flume Ride, sharp turns, water effects, a good sense of speed and an "interesting" life hill finale, Gold Rush is certainly unique and very charming. The ride opened in 1995 and was actually manufactured in house by the park!
Filmed with a good low-light camera, so the dark ride sections show up really nicely.
Rainbow's End is New Zealand's only Theme Park / Amusement Park. It is located in Manukau City, Auckland! If you're looking for something do in Auckland, then this is a great option if you enjoy attractions and rides!

Wow. Thats a really unique Coaster ive never seen before. it looks so selfmade from the Themepark! Or maybe a small Coaster Company that is not known well.
It was actually custom made by Rainbows End engineers.
All the rides there were made by rainbows end

The first time i went on this years ago, the "Look out!" Scared me so much
First time I went on that ride and heard that but I whacked my head
Same, I went there for my cousins birthday and that ride freaked me out except when it said âLook Out!â There was another cart coming

The last time I was there they had a maze, bunch of video games, video dome thing, motion master. 1995 or 1996. Got extremely stoned in the maze.

Look, I know first hand how cool this ride is. But although it's cool, it's also loud as hell. You have to be there to see what I mean, you literally have to cover your ears when you ride it

Maybe but there is another insane one here called stratosfear. Search up stratosfear rainbows end. If you havenât been before, it is much more insane than this. This is casual

Man this ride scared the shit outta me when I first went on, I refused to ever go back on it again, was the look out part that fucking scared me. Eventually got over that fear, and now it's my favourite ride at rainbows end.
Cool. My personal favorite is the log ride because it's such a chill and relaxing ride. But I don't go on it the most because of the huge queue and since you can only fit 2 people per log and it takes like 3-5 minutes to make a full rotation, you have to wait for upwards of 2 hours to get a single ride. That's why instead I go on the corkscrew coaster the most because it's fast, fits heaps of people, and it's really fun
I was also scared for my life on that ride yet it's my favorite.

I love this coaster! How didn't you get a line or a short line? Usually I'm in the line for like 30 minutes-1 hour!
This was filmed in Winter so the park was a bit quieter. I think the queue was around 10-15 minutes!

@@ThemeParkOgre Cheers buddy! Its sort of a yearly tradition for me and my friends to go to rainbows end every year and we are going again in about 2 weeks! This will be our 3rd year in a row now, I love it every time!
All they added to this ride was a few more lanterns in the tunnel

The Dreamworld one terrified me as a kid. I remember it being super claustrophobic compared to Rainbow's End's!
