    We catch the white drum here in Kansas and they get big and taste mighty fine. Small ones (1-2 lbs) are excellent flatty bait too!

    Kris, Hey Brother nice catches on them small Red's there. wait till you get a hold of them Bull Reds, they will make those catfish look like chicken nuggets. I told you several months ago that you needed to go do some saltwater fishing for you to have a better perspective of Saltwater fishing is like compared to freshwater. Also beware of getting finned by them hard heads, for that sting really burns nothing compared to that freshwater catfish fin. For now, you will assuredly be hooked to saltwater fishing when you get more exposure to catching the speckled trout and the flounders. :)

      Canyon Lake between SA & Austin is a really nice lake. We live right by it and fish it as much as we can. The dam is amazing, it’s our little slice of Heaven.

    In my youth I used shrimp as bait. Took me about 30 years to eat shrimp/fish bait. My next challenge will be grasshoppers and worms.

    • @highjinx6519
      @highjinx6519 Před 3 lety

      Don’t think adults are required to wear them here in Texas, just have to have 1 on the boat for each person.
