God bless Don Henley and the Eagles. May their hearts and minds be filled with peace while morning their beloved friend and band member Glenn.
Amen.
Good response!
The God Vibe Lee Catalano not be
Over by all
come back Eagles! we need you more than ever. your harmonies lifted me!
He sang "Wasted Time" as his last encore in Montreal last night. I was there. Awesome show!!
Eagles the very best band of all time, miss Glenn, terrible sad, I hope for Eagles reunion in the future.
As a life-long EAGLES fan, I say, leave well-enough alone... it was a great run and I'm sure very hard letting go, but tribute bands don't work. Let's enjoy the memories!
It was the Long Run.
Saw Jackson Browne in concert at Segerstrom Center last year and he was amazing. He has occasionally performed with The Eagles since the 70s. He wrote most of "Take it Easy" and has performed it since then at his own concerts. Glenn's passing was a fresh wound at The Grammys and first time they performed without him, maybe that effected the performance.
I am for this Reunion Tour to happen.
Thanks for this report and I sure would cheer a continuation of the band in whatever form they become and surely, with Don at the helm, everything would be respectful of their heritage and an homage to Glenn and that would be beautiful. As for Mr. Felder, I read his book as soon as it came out and I really liked it and I can understand both sides--his wanting each member to keep receiving one share, Frey/Henley wanting two shares each as founding members and principle singers and songwriters. And it sounds like, at the close of their dispute, everyone went home happy--Frey/Henley got their two shares each and Felder got a big settlement. And his book stoked within me a deeper interest in the band and prompted me to see the Eagles twice in '08 with a couple of friends. So, for sure, Mr. Felder promoted the Eagles with his book and I will always be glad I saw the band on their Long Road Out of Eden tour.
you know people forget that there are a lot of people involved in the eagles touring and while I do agree Glens passing is still raw, there are a lot of people who depend on these guys for their bread and butter.I don't think it would be so bad if they reunite with Glens son if it means keeping all those involved employed as long as they give it a little time it would be ok:)
I saw the first original lineup of the band right when Felder first joined on the "On The Border" tour in Seattle at The Paramount in 1974. The first lineup with Randy & Bernie was the best in my opinion. RIP Glenn.
we need the Eagles to reunite... would be so great
diane leroux There are no Eagles anymore. We are blessed to have the music that will live on forever. My heart is still broken. :(
Lana Rayphole your right the real Eagles don't exist anymore... but their music lives on
diane leroux Thank God we have their music.
I'm a die hard Eagles fan & would LOVE to see them again! I think it would be fantastic to have Deacon stand in for his dad! Sure hope this idea comes to fruition!
the eagles finshed when Don Felder was disenfranchised .Joe should have manned up and left then
I agree, Nick Loughrey. I hate how everyone just says Henley is the main guy without putting any thought into it. When the band first started it was Glenn and Henley doing the main songwriting, but after Felder joined the group and became the main musical composer of the group, the major part of their work from then on was Felder writing music and Henley writing lyrics (which probably led to a lot of Glenn's ill feelings towards Felder). This combination produced their best work in my opinion. Meisner was another underrated part of their creative process as well. I got to see them twice on this last tour (including their last show with Glenn in Bossier City, LA) and it was great to see Bernie with them. He sounded and played just as good as ever.
Joe Johnson I'm not much of a Jackson Browne fan. Personally I just don't care for his voice. I think Glenn's son might be a better replacement & may sound similar to his dad.
i heard deacon on you tube.. i dont think he has a good voice at all
I'd prefer Jackson Browne. Kid could be good though, if he got a few months of vocal lessons.
Henley is key to any possible reunion taking place. If he's not discounting the possibility totally as seems to be the case, I'd reckon there's a real chance of something happening down the track
I would love a reunion. the Eagles are my all time favorite band. I would like to see some of the early members back in the band. I know they had some problems with some of them like Don Felder, but it would be great if they put their issues aside and give the public what they want.
I sure hope they do!!!
JUST DO IT!!!!! WE LOVE YOU EAGLES!!!! Glenn is smiling now :)
Eagles weren't the Eagles after Meisner and Felder left. 1977 was really the last great year.
It cannot be a reunion without Don Felder!!!!!
Reunion, great idea with all of the original band members!
That would be extremely cool and respectable to have his son come on board, think that would bring tears to everyone's eyes, and Jackson Brown deserves to be an Eagle, hanging w my man Joe Walsh, who in my eyes still plays his heart out
I hope Glenn's son can sing like him.
no deacon cant.. check him out on you tube.. nothing special
Yes, he can....he has heart and talent.
in my opinion his voice is not that good as yet.. go to you tube and find deacon singing hotel california and decide for yourself.
Well done - thanks for the info. I am aching for them (Henley) to get smart and invite Don Felder back. It would be FANTASTIC to see "Eagles" (Glenn said it was never supposed to be "THE eagles") with Meisner, Browne, Bernie, Souther & Walsh/Henley/Felder of course and maybe keep Steuart Smith for a few songs. These guys (henley) need to drop the egoic mind and realize the outcome / LOVE from the music is a Quadrillion times bigger than ANY uncomfortable feeling from a few argument$. We only live once - time is running out - and none of them are 'spring chicks' anymore.
Well Meisner is very sick mentally as well as physically and Henley and Felder hate each other, so you can forget those 2!
Echdrum You left out Timothy! I LOVE TIMOTHY!!!!❤️❤️❤️ Randy was fantastic back in the day & no one else could belt out Take it to the Limit like he could but at the same time, only Timothy could do "I Can't Tell You Why" in the soft, sexy way he could.😍
Amy Thompson Timothy sounded soft for sure, sexy not so much unless you liked the sound of a gayish man singing.
Randy Meisner can't sing anymore due to vocal cord damage
mark s You've got some nerve! Not to mention NO BRAIN if you think Timothy sounds gay. BTW just what exactly does a "gay" singing voice sound like anyway? Elton John? Freddie Mercury? Adam Lambert? He has been happily married to Jean forever & has grown kids. Not everyone screams like a banshee when they sing. Apparently both POCO & the Eagles felt he was man enough for the job both times when Randy left. Just because he happened to be the last to join doesn't lessen his roll in the band. He came along at a time when he was needed. I love each & every member of that band. That's what made the THE GREATEST AMERICAN ROCK BAND, the fact that they were so versatile & could do it ALL! Have you seen them live? I have several times & it was worth every penny! I hope you know TBS has a huge cult like following of fans (women) who travel around to wherever he's playing. I'd do it if I could. Back to your comment or should I say insult? Yes!!! He is most definitely SEXY!!! Of course he's getting older like we all are but still sexy!!! Pictures of him while they were recording The Long Run make me melt!!! So take your hate & your jealousy & watch some of his interviews & maybe you can learn a thing or two about being humble, thankful,& polite.
Thanks everyone for watching.
I agree, I want Randy back. Come on Felder you can do it.
Matthew Dagnan I forgot to mention Joe Walsh and Felder on the Hotel California at Live at the Capitol Centre 1977
Don Henley will , no doubt, take a lot of things into consideration when trying to decide whether to have an Eagles reunion or not. I think it would be nice.....and to include Glenn Frey's son, Deacon, in the band....along with some of the others who used to be with the Eagles. First, the band must take the time they need to mourn Glenn's untimely death. It was a great loss. It will probably be a good while until something is decided. It would be worth the wait.
I like the Eagles music and I wish I could've seen them in concert but if they reunited with Glenn's son I don't think it would have the same meaning as it would with Glenn but I would consider seeing them if they did reunite. RIP Glenn Frey
Like Don, my heart is still to broke to even think about watching any kind of eagle show...his death just broke my heart. i get so frustrated when i hear people dedicating songs to honor David Bowie and Prince and always say how those TWO were the "guys of the day" Well that is not true...Glenn was around way before prince ever was... I never heard of Prince until what the early 80s. These artist need to start honoring Glenn as they do Bowie and Prince...
it is just sad he does not get the tributes and credit he so deserves. I was a little off on Prince's dates....he released his first album in 78...(Prince wrote, produced, arranged, composed, and played all 27 instruments on the recording on his 1st album, "For You" and it did not even go into the top 10, nor did any of its songs) by the time Prince PUT out his 1st album...And Hotel Calif was already out and topping the charts for 2yrs. Matter of fact, Eagles were already on top 10 a few times. I am just sick and tired of no one showing this man the respect he deserves. When people accept awards, they mention Price and Bowie, but not Glenn. I can assure you they were probably fans of Hotel Calif at the least... Just give the man some fucking respect is all i ask... songwriters like him dont come along very often and when they do, it will be a very long time before another one comes along that can only hope to be as great as he was. (sorry Elmo, this is just a very touchy subject for me and i cringe every time i hear homage paid to prince or bowie and not Glenn. someone has to defend our boy Glenn....guess it will be me.and that is fine by me. I'm up for the job and am very honored to do so.)
My band added "Already Gone " to the set list for the first gig after Glen passed. The crowd really enjoys the tribute.
I live in hope that the Eagles could play again with Deacon
if the Eagles reunite with Glen Frey's son .. i would pay a lot to go see them... i have always loved the Eagles... please Don Henley try to get him to go with ur group.... would be great
I thought they may regroup with JD Souther taking Glenn's spot sometime next year
As a tribute to Glenn and to the Eagles, it would be wonderful, idealistic, for his son to step in on his behalf, and to also bury the hatchet with Don Felder and any other ill wills that exist with other past band members, put away the egos. Yes, we all want to see the Eagles get back together, we're being selfish, their music was fantastic, they are such a part of our lives and with the loss of Glenn, it also signals a our morality. It was such a shock when Glenn passed. Let's find a way to keep it going...
This is something only the surviving member of the Eagles can work out. It's only been 10 months since Glenn's passing. They need to sort things out if there is to be a formal Eagles reunion with a tour, all the concert dates and ALL that involved with working together like that. Naturally we, the fans, want this, that and the other thing.
Look at all the disagreement among the fans just in these comments here. This is about personalities, egos, getting along. These guys are at an age when life should be easier and more enjoyable; they've earned it. Whatever they eventually work out I'll be happy with because I know they'll be happy. Knowing they're suffering to entertain us isn't something I'd like anymore than they would. This is going to take time, soul searching and a lot of thought. We'll see and accept what they decide and when.
I'd love to see Felder back in the mix ....
What about Bernie Leaden? You didn't mention him and he was on their last tour....
Would be a pity if Henley and Felder do not "bury the hatchet". A long time has passed, everyone has matured and in interviews with Felder I have seen, he never displays anything but admiration for the Henley/Frey songwriters and the Eagles band - and has regrets (don't we all have) about some past happenings, but mainly indicates his time with the Eagles was memorable.. His excellent guitar playing gifts would undoubtedly enhance the Eagles.
I've seen some clips on CZcams of Glenn's son and he IS very good. It would be great to see him with the re-grouped Eagles. I am NOT for Jackson Brown....I thought he was just useless in the one performance he did since Glenn's passing. Despite them being friends in the long ago, I think Glenn's son is the far better choice. JMHO
I agree. Like I responded in another post below, I have never been a Jackson Browne fan for numerous reasons and he butchered Take It Easy at the Grammy's. Ugh. I'm a singer and I could have done a better job. That's not saying much for Mr Jackson.
As good as I would like to see The Eagles performing, and hopefully back together, it will only happen is if all the members agree to without any reservation. I believe that it would be appropriate to add Glenn's son. Another one that needs to be added is Don Felder. He was the catalyst, a well regarded song writer for some of the Eagles hits.. Whatever the rift was, now is a good time as ever to bury the hatchet for the sake of the fans as well as the members.
The healing of Glenn's death has to be first priority before the Eagles can begin to rebuild the group. I'm sure it was Glenn's wished for the band to continue. I don't think I am alone when I say that I hope The Eagles will make this happen.
The Eagles must happen again!!!! No Maybes, just do it!!!
Virtually all of the Eagles' guitar leads stuck in my head were done by either Don Felder or Joe Walsh. Any reunion should include both of them...
Without Don Felder, it will not be the Eagles.
It would be great if Henley, Felder, Walsh, Schmidt, and Leadon and Meissner would agree to tour again, but Meissner's health might not let him.
But can he even sing?
I hope they can get something together. A real waste for these guys not to perform together
Jackson is like an extended member of Eagles, but that would sure create logistical problems with shows, as his setlist is probably as long as theirs. J.D. would be an interesting choice, as he was an early collaborator with Glenn and Linda, and was considered as an initial member of Eagles.
OTH, if they wanted to go bold like adding Walsh in the '70s, letting Bob Seger sit in would be an awesome tour. Seger was an early mentor of Glenn's in Detroit.
Lastly, Bernie would I think be welcomed by audiences in any iteration - Randy's out for health and other reasons, and I don't see Felder, unfortunately, returning to the fold.
Its all so sad, but not the same without Frey.
i would like to see them back together with Felder
With Glen gone, if there were a reunion, does Don alone get to decide how much the other guys get paid?
If they'd swallow their pride, they'd have 3 excellent guitarists (Leadon, Felder, Walsh), Schmidt on base, and King Henley on drums. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Should be J.D. Souther. Until they reunite listen to Muscle Russell "Moonshine Line" on you Tube.
I too would love to see the Eagles get back together. But if some of the members can't speak to each other without involving their lawyers, it will never happen. The suggestion to get Deacon Frey to step in for his father is an excellent idea however.
Maybe a tribute at some point, but some things just need to be let go. Sure emotions are at play, but so is the subject of money.
This just in, as expected, Don Henley Changes his mind. Now for Christs sake bring Felder back inside, and see if Randy can attempt it. Times almost out. The fans deserve it, as does peace of mind for all involved
I bet they could make a killer record too
There can't be a reunion. Glen is gone, there is no reunion. It's Like trying to reunite the Beatles with Julian Lennon and Dahni Harrison. Sometimes you just gotta "Let It Be."
I second that.
Third it, Kinda like Grand Funk Railroad having concerts with the main singer not being Marc Farner...... it just doesn't work....it just isn't the same feeling nor has the same honesty.
Dan B Hi Dan. You never know until it's been tried. Jason Bonham did a great job on drums for Led Zeppelin (LZ). For anyone out there who knoweth nowt about LZ, Jasons father was John Bonham who died about 1980 ish, if my poor memory serves me correct. He was a fantastic drummer. Jason is also pretty "shit hot" and he can sing!
Legend has it, when he was a kid he would fill in at rehearsals when John would pass out drunk. ha ha..
Dan B deacon can at least try. Bonham's kin can carry a drumbeat. have a lil faith
For those of us who've been listening to the Eagles since the early 70's, the only Eagles that make sense is one that includes Bernie, Randy and of course Don Felder. Hotel California's ending guitar duet NEVER sounded right without Felder. So, personally, I don't care about Frey's son or Jackson Browne! Imagine this, Eagles reunion with Henley, Walsh, Schmidt, Meisner, Leadon and Felder together performing tunes picked from each of their albums by the fans, isn't that good enough ?
just do not see Randy ever being involved due to his health he is that bad at the moment.
Eldo Mondo Works for me! I'd LOVE that!!! Wish Randy was well enough & everyone was willing.
No better way to pay tribute to him the EAGLES will never go away just push play an I go back
eagles now- Don Henley,Joe Walsh,Timothy B Schmit ,Don Felder,Bernie Leadon ,and Jackson Browne singing take it easy .who backs that????
I agree with all but Jackson Browne. Sorry, personally not a Jackson Browne fan and he did a crappy job singing Take It Easy at the farewell they did at the Grammy's earlier this year. Just sayin.
haha yeah fair statement..just thought id chuck Jackson in there for the hell of it :) am not a fan either got a album of his on record and actual fell asleep :)
Well, hopefully they will get together again sometime in the future after they have had some time to heal. So sad.
yeah i hope they do but alot of there songs will never be the same without Glenn Frey singing them, saw them live dec 2010 in Melbourne ,Australia was amazing!
I know what you mean, it would be hard without Glenn singing. Very cool that you got to see them in Australia. I have been fortunate to see them all as well. I saw them in Tacoma, WA for the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1995. I also saw Don Henley in 1991 and Joe Walsh in the mid 2000's.
No Felder no reunion it wouldn't be right without him!
It will happen. The music is too good to let go....and the potential concert revenues too good to pass up.
But in good taste. If it can happen, that would be great. However, i understand the opinions of others, without Glenn, it might not be the same.
I liked the Eagles best with Felder and Walsh so a reunion without Felder?? I'd like to see all the Eagles past in a giant reunion. Just "get over it" and get on with it.
Not sure I can ever see the Eagles without Glenn Frey. Just doesn't seem right
An Eagles reunion without Glenn Frey? How Lynyrd Skynyrd of them.
Loved your comment. Yeah so true.
Won't be the same.
You people all seem to forget who formed the Eagles. Let me remind you, It was GLENN FREY and DON HENLEY!!!!!!!!! They formed the band and then invited Randy and Bernie L.to join. Felder came on 3 years later. than Joe another year after. Jesus, people keep forgetting that. It was Glenn and Don's band. PERIOD!!!!!!
Not without Felder!
Forgive Felder. And Re Unite
I don't see Felder as the one who did anything wrong. He was made a full-fledged member in 1974 when he was brought in for On the Border to bring in a rock guitar ability. He was the one who got the Eagles to the next level and into the big-time. Without him, they were a country oriented band and would have never become mainstream rock like they did. Felder also was influential in getting Walsh to come in and make that sound even stronger. He wrote the music to Hotel California and many of the rock guitar parts on all the Eagles songs 1974-1980.
The problem was Frey and Henley during the reunion years 1990s and early 2000's wanted more of the pie and made the slices smaller for Schmidt, Felder, and Walsh. Schmidt and Walsh were basically salaried members and did not have a contract in Eagles LTD., but Felder did. He was an equal to Henley and Frey, and he expected his same portion as per the contract. Frey especially did not want to hear it and told him he was out. Felder sued for wrongful termination and breach of contract and won by a settlement. He has his full portion whether he performs with them or not. Last years the Eagles performed without him he still received 1/5 of all Eagles revenue. Frey was the problem. He violated the contract and got crushed. The reason they settled was to get a non-disclosure agreement so Felder would not be able to give the facts to the public and embarrass Frey and Henley.
I would hope Henley would approach Felder, ask him to come back. Who know's maybe Felder and Henley can write another great Eagles anthem if they reunited. They have to pay Felder 1/5 of all revenue per the settlement regardless, so asking him back and treating him right would be the best thing for all.
Deacon (Frey's son)actually sings and sounds a lot like his father he really is a chip off the old block this could work.
If the money is there, they'll do it. Of course, who's going to say no to millions of dollars. And the interest is
still there. Life goes on with or without you. Obla di Obla da.
So many combinations are out there. Id give anything to see those members less considered added back in. Of Course Randy (if health permits), Bernie was there last tour but they oddly didnt let him stay on stage, this go round leave him up there. And God willing Don Felder. He has been so kind in interviews for so long. Let the past be the past. Glens death should be proof positive to what really matters. Shit if Fleetwood Mac could all get on stage and tour after their past, surely Henley could get over the nasty law suit.
As for Glens songs, to me they should focus on an odd setlist as well, and focus more on others vocals than Glens. There are plenty of hits without his lead on vocals.
Jackson Browne, look I love the dude as himself, and his talent is oustanding, but seeing him live, and hearing him with them, this is NOT something they should do. His vocals kill their harmony.
Money talks. I have fought with fans online since Glens death that I felt Henley would put some form of the Eagles on stage in a year or two. My guess it will be He, Walsh, and Tim, and sadly with Jackson. But hey, thats still the Eagles to some degree. Enjoy folks whatever it is, they are getting old. It wont last much longer.
I believe the Glenn was the one who had the most acrimonious distaste for Felder. I think Henley went along to just placate Glenn there could be some detente there sometime soon.I do not see Jackson being a part of it not because of the Eagles but i just do not see Jackson wanting to do it.
no henley disliked felder just as much as glen... i heard it from felder himself...
Sure he does. You can't let that cash cow go to waste.
how about adding Don Felder instead of sticking
knives in his back in
"history of the Eagles"
*The Incomplete EAGLES @ The Kennedy Ctr. Honors*
No real famous talented band ever existed without conflicts & clashes. That's absolutely very normal since we have to remember, with a group of creative & very talented musicians with strong "individuality", interacting constantly for an ever-progressive & dynamic craftsmanship, that is inevitable.
The average "active"lifespan of a decent band according to John Lennon is about 10 yrs.
So, The Eagles actually way surpassed that then even had Reunions
Any extremely bitter conflicts, even the 'court-suit' kind, should be healed and 'Got over with' with the passing of time.
Why, because comes a stage in our lives wether we like it or not, we have the acronym called: "T.R.O." - meaning Time Running Out.
I'll be the first, together with Joe Walsh, not meddle with what's going on with Henley/Frey vs. Felder...it was their personal business and deserves respect and sensitivity.
However, after decades have passed, when everyone who paid their dues and contributed substantial parts for the overall success of the group at certain turning points in the band's lifespan, will be honored & recognized, not by among themselves, but the outside people who's lives were touched by their gifted music..., then, that is where all the experiences the band members shared with each other, blood, sweat, tears, but most especially the priceless FUN they shared should take centerstage, and all the prevailing bitterness, no matter who is right or wrong, is momentarily (even better if permanently) thrown out the window!
At the Kennedy Center, where basically you are honored for just that 'Once' which encapsulates that special, unique part of your whole lifetime (which only a very, very few elite group of people of this world will ever achieve), then the world honoring them, should have seen the "Real Complete Group" who were actually there when the band was struggling then succeeding phenomenally reaching their summit.
Again, why?
Because rightly so...
Best example will be the band almost every succesful group looked up to... (including The Eagles)...
The Beatles!
Had John not died too soon, as time passes by, their DNA dictates that they're FAMILY whether they like it or not...too much bond not even the greatest strife will forever dominate in them. We actually saw it (pretty close), set all differences aside to make the Anthology set in the mid 90's. partly for the sake of their loyal fans who really gave them their success to start with.
OK, the bitter emotions prevailed...No Felder at the Kennedy Ctr.
Can it be rectified at any given time now?
No more!...Glenn is gone and won't come back.
Who is to say, they'll be here next year? No one.
That one moment in time, for the true, loyal fans who were really the ones responsible for positioning the band unto a pedestal, did not feel complete in honoring their heroes.
With 'T.R.O.' in mind, maybe we could all learn a lesson from this.
Time Running Out...we will never be able to beat this, it'll come sooner if not later, but we can definitely execute the right move, as time ticks by on us...and accomplish the proper & rightful thing which will not leave us in regret for the rest of our existence as each passing day brings us close to it.
Thank you much for your time in reading this.
--- A Loyal EAGLES fan
(1972 - 2017 & beyond)
Tony Stark is talking about eagles
Way too much bass in this report, it sounds like you are talking threw a face mask.
Reunion-- hell yes! Go for it!
without don felder playing guitar theEAGLES are flightless
Agree 100%
Randy couldn't do it.
yes sadly he can't.
Bull Crap on Glen Fry's son. It Felder who should be there hands down. It's Felder who made you famous Mr Henly. GET OVER IT.
Caddoe Show
No..... Bring back Don Felder.
It's all about money. That's all ...
That would be great for Deacon, because he is good. But Felder? Henley would never, because Felder broke that trust and honor by being an ungrateful, greedy bastard.
There were other "greedy bastards" in the band beside Felder.
greedy bastard??? u have not read his book... he was co-owner of the group and they split the profits equally.. then after 30 yrs.. he was told to sign his ownership away and become an employee and work for less .. now who in their right mind would sign a contract like that?? would you change the terms of your work agreement so u are no longer an owner and still have to travel but earn less???????? u call that greedy?? i call that having a brain.
You need to review my comment with a clear mind; then come to grips with the fact that writing a book is not necessarily synonymous with truth.
john... if u were legally a co-owner of a band for 30 yrs and then out of the blue one day, you were asked to sign a new contract making u an employee and earning alot less.. tell me.. would YOU sign it?? my info not only comes from the book, but i know Don Felder...
I agree.
They need to let it go. Glenn frey is dead; it's time to let the Eagles go.
randy has dementia.. he is permantly retired..
paula morey Sadly, Randy is also an alcoholic.💔
His biggest problem is he damaged his vocal Chords during his choking incident. The Dementia part Still remains to be seen. But i don't think he will ever return to performing. One his wife accidently killed herself he will be weaned off the alcohol. Hi former wife kept him enebriated to keep him in check. His family who he was estranged from i am sure are now back in his life. They care very deeply for him and i am sure they are getting him help.
FAMILY NOT BACK IN HIS LIFE....AS YET.
if that is the case then that is very sad . then i see no hope for him.
i talk to the mother of randy's kids.. and believe me randy is retired
Sure hes open to an Eagles reunion, especially since his last lp Cass County TANKED and generally sucked ass! lol
yup
I will never go see the Eagles now that Glenn Frey has passed! Henley needs to find a new hobby. How much money do you need? I am sure some idiots will overpay to see a watered down Eagles group.
meisner is way too much of a mess to perform, sure Walsh pulled it off, but its beyond Meisner
I watched glenn, don was and their kids playing...the vocals were so bad on hotel california, even glenns voice sounded awful, he could not make up for the other bad singing going on.....his son Deacon did much much better vocally on non Eagles songs, which brings me to the point, he is a different kind of singer than his father....and DNA aside, Deacon is not good for the EAGLES, as Glenn and Don would have decided if it were not personal and his kid , So unless Don H is losing his edge on sticking to what is good for the Eagles, then we will see a VAn Halen type deal, where Wolfgang, who is not a good vocalist and a mediocre bass player failed to fill Michael Anthonys shoes. BUT he is Eddies DNA...The Eagles are still soaring for fans..just as "the Led Zeppelin" is...Robert did the right thing, he let Zep go with their dignity intact, for reasons that made sense, there was NO replacing Bonzo........and there us NO replacing Glenn. I would say, have tribute reunions, invite friends of theirs to join in...have Deacon join on a song and sing if he can nail the EAGLES vocal part, if not, he just plays on a tune, there are many good players and singers they could guest in... But do not compromise the Eagles name.
