- Skummoned Skull is such a powerhouse in this season but after the season ends he is rarely seen anymore! This is a tribute to him since he was a favorite of mine! I hope you guys enjoy and don't forget to hit that like and subscribe! :)

Always wondered why he sounded like an angry cat lol
I was curious as to why Konami Cross Media NY (Formely 4Kids, 4K Media, etc.) chose Cat sound effects for Summoned Skull. Probably wanted his roar to be less evil, hence the company editing lots of scenes in the series (Also the way it Almost attacks The Faceless Mage kind of reminded me of any Wildcats about to prey against other animals in jungles, etc.). That's just me though. :/

@@theangryjess4234 thats exactly wat it is.. bc the super strong demons have less deep voices tbh.. freiza coulda told yu that himself. plus summon skull and freiza are similar in colorway. see how life works?? its almost like real life, the demons that are more of a threat compared to most are the small ones we dont seem to pay attention to. and its in our everyday life. drugs, depression, lust, vanity, pride, our wicked thoughts, gossip, yu get the just. but demons like homicide, homosexuality, suicide, stealing, disrespecting our elders, denouncing the heavenly father, those demons arent really an everday thing for most of us so its easy to not do it.. but for alot of us in this day in age in 2021, so much his being exposed to the media that our brains are becoming more and more confused and is turning into moosh. and thats whats bring out alot more of the murder, stealing, robbing, becoming more of a harlott, doing witch craft... its deep

Magician of Black Chaos for me. Today at walmart i purchased 2 of those new packs that have the new summond skull(Archfiend's Awaking) and pulled him! I couldn't believe it i cried. That's actually why im on this video lol

it was an OP card back then, 2500 atk for 1 tribute is insane
Especially when you use Soul Exchange and Axe of Despair, plus if you are very lucky you get three Axe of Despairs in your first time.

@@supremekingjaden.3096 Yeah that is good to use that I would rather soul exchange because you would get rid of a monster on your opponent's side of field for a tribute for your summoned skull.

It was originally called Summoned Demon but they changed it for the English version
A shame we didn't get to see Summoned Skull as much in the later seasons. He's one of my favorites ❤

Summoned Skull won me a lot of Yugioh duels. I won a ton of cards in the early stages of Yugioh. Also because I had a shinny Summoned Skull card. And everyone I played against wanted it. So I would put it on the line and pick a good card to win from my opponent. Awe the good old days.
Summoned Skull is one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh monsters.

1 Tribute is all it takes to summon this brute just to make sure it survives before you tribute summon your Egyptian God cards later.
My original ace. Still one of my favorites and was super glad when they gave it a wave of support. Even if the deck isn’t meta, it’s just nice to see a card near and dear to my heart get some love.

Summoned Skull was the monster that Yugi used to defeat Weevil and it was the Fusion Material to make Black Skull Dragon to defeat Gate Guardian in the duel against the Paradox Brothers

I always found it weird that Yugi stopped using summoned skull after duelist kingdom. The anime adds a scene of him summoning it against the first rare hunter, but I'm pretty sure he drops it in the manga
It was his original Ace Monster too.
i liked summoned skull a lot. but after duelist kingdom he was hardly seen expect during the first duel yugi had against the rare hunter and during yugi vs the pharoah in the final duel.
Yugi should have kept the skull in his deck for battle citty. With the red eye in his deck he could have used black skull dragon during his duels.
Someone has done a nifty Dark Magician/Summoned Skull fusion.

Well, it was a good contender for the best monster in the early days of the games, since it was the strongest monster that only required one sacrifice to be summoned.
@@DDSForbbiden me and my friends were like 7 not reading rule books so we kinda copied the anime. So until I saw battle city I knew nothing about sacrificing monsters unless it was for a ritual.
@@johnnymcarr yeah those were fun days! My friend got a error card that had a printing error where is had no front just like a rainbow color strips so he told me it was a wild card that could turn into anything he wanted and I just let it ride lol.

I wish Yugi gave Joey Summon Skull so he can summon bIack skull dragon in his battles. Also maybe have joey's deck be fiend type instead of the random mess he has in his deck. Also toss away those luck base cards because he's looking like his father who is an addicted gambler.

The rules the OCG/TCG and anime go by now weren’t established until later. The game was played the way it was in Duelist Kingdom because they were based on the rules used in the early chapters of the manga and the season 0 anime. That version of the game’s rules were based on and inspired by Magic the Gathering and DND. That’s also why it was originally called Magic and Wizards until it became known as Duel Monsters.
I believe it was meant to be more like a tabletop RPG.

Legendary and iconic monster, be it either in Animé and especially in the TCG.
Back in 2002/2003, for just 1 tribute, you got 2500 ATK which was insane.
Criminal how the earliest power boss monster of the game hasn't gotten a proper a coherent archetype and strategy (that support 4-5 years ago doesn't count, it's shockingly bad).
One of my favorites besides Gaia the fierce knight, curse of dragon, kuriboh and black luster soldier during those initial times. Glad that Yugi got to use it against Pharaoh though sad to see it use against gaia(although Swift version). Certainly a great asset for Yugi

Summon Skull was Badass when Yugioh first came out,cool 2500 attack monster with only one tribute required better than Dark Magician.
You can literally just special summon the Dark Magician of you have a Dark Flare Knight in your deck though.

Reshef of Destruction might've distorted my view about Yu-Gi-Oh.
One of my favorite cards. I actually use a Monarch deck (other special cards) and a Jurrac deck... I play Summoned Skull (an the ones from Fists of the Gadgets) in that Jurrac deck (and sometimes in Monarch)... Yeah... It sounds pretty dumb.

Sadly, they replaced Summoned Skull by Dark Magician Girl in Battle City although it used to be Yami's one of most powerful cards, and only requiring one tribute is a gigantic advantage. Buster Blader is only useful when dealing with Kaiba.
