Okay, so I've first listened to the song on Spotify and was glad it wasn't overdone, it's just as good as it should be. But together with the video this makes a whole new experience, the parts where Chris is singing are so private, so personal that they seem as if he was singing to you, to me, to everybody wanting to listen 💜 everything Chris touches turns to gold, even if it's only a cover 💜

I remember when this song came out originally. It was so haunting. Chris did a breathtaking job with this interpretation. I'm a few years older than him but this song is immortal and classically and lyrically beautiful.

Exactly the same. I'm not far from 30 but I'm preparing myself for the strange feeling. I want to embrace my aging unlike the people who don't and are so unhappy.

Life is as beautiful as you make it, and shouldn't be forever as nice as that sounds.
So make it as good as you can and don't worry about your age . When you hit your 30s Age doesn't really mean anything and people need to stop making it out to be awful. It's beautiful .

Matthew - it is worth learning German in order to understand the German-language titles. It's no different with English-language titles. I imagine it is bad not being able to understand any English texts.

Just like a lot of other pop singers from the U.S., so many American pop singers search and look around for awesome songs from other foreign artists and then "coincidencely" release a pop version of the same song in the U.S. close to the foreign release. Then, they make loads of money from it. I am an American, but this is pathetic. They figure their fans won't have heard this BlutEngel version or any other version of the song and about 97% of Jay Z and Beyoncé fans will actually believe they wrote this song. This happens so many times with other artists and songs in the U.S. I realize that this was not written by Blutengel either, however is a much better version.

Es gibt für mich keinen Grund, bestimmte Musikrichtungen irgendwelchen Altersklassen fix zuzuordnen. Was mir jetzt gefällt, gefällt mir in 20 Jahren auch noch. Wandel gibt es aber schon - nämlich dann, wenn etwas Neues hinzukommt. Neu innerhalb des letzten Jahres waren für mich Eisfabrik, Wort-Ton, Solitary Experiments und Seelennacht, wo ich auch sehr drauf abgehe.

This is nostalgic and dark at the same time! We all want to live for ever, most of the times.
20 years ago, yes, I wanted to live forever. At 40, not so much. I realize that I wanted the moments of youth to never end, not my life. As all things, that time did end. So have many of my friends already. I don't know if I would want to outlive the rest and my children... Food for thought.
That really is a very good point. At 20 years old I did only think of myself. Now I pray that I won't ever have to lose my child before I die.
Considering I danced to this in the late 80s, it's almost time to start singing I Want To Be Young Again.
