Solo Hot Tent Backpacking Trip with High Winds

- This is a solo adventure in Eastern Washington where I went hot tent backpacking in high winds and freezing temperatures. This area was formed by the Missoula floods, and resides in farming country. The water here can't be filtered due to agricultural runoff so I had to pack in all of my water. The winds were very strong during this trip, so apologies for the noise quality.

A two person pad. This might just be what I need for a good nights sleep too. For an extra pound, I think it’s worth it.
It's definitely the best comfort item I've purchased, super nice not having my arms or legs touch the ground
I asked pomoly if they would build everyone a one off unique tent and stove set up for CZcams. They have said every tent has two options. 1 take it 2 leave it 😂.
Hi. BEAUTIFUL. SCENERIES. LANDSCAPE. AWESOME. AMAZING. HIKING. CAMPING.
Wowww ,what a scenery, wonderful, have fun & keep safe
Thats a lot of faffing about. 😮
Breathtaking shots, you presented this masterfully! Shots and composition are amazing!
Thank you so much!
Awesome trip, looks so peaceful and relaxing! Thanks for sharing!
It certainly was a great trip. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Really cool set-up!
Thanks!
This was super cool! That tent and stove setup looks fire (pun intended). Might have to try this for myself!
🔥🔥🔥
멋진곳에서 따뜻한 텐트 캠핑 ㅎ허로대도 너무 멋지다 잘보고갑니다 ^^
How does the tent handle 50 to 60 km wind?
You need a better saw. That was a long time to cut that wood. I’d recommend a corona folding saw I promise best $20 you’ll ever spend.
Beautiful set you have their top shelf. I really like that style tent.
Thanks for the tips! For now it'll do, but I plan to upgrade at some point in the future.
Subbed. Great video. Love the "show, dont talk" format. Your "Heavy pack bounce" at the beginning has me worried for your knees, though. I didn't see a lot in your kit that could be lightened given the climate and needs, but I would say from my own trial and error: the saw is your friend, the axe is not. Also: why a 2 person pad for one sleeper?
Appreciate the sub! I'm an active sleeper and so the extra pound difference for a two person pad is worth it for me. My winter setup is definitely heavy but it makes for some good training
Looking for a tent for hunting, this look likes it fits the bill. Any cons?
My biggest issues with the tent would be the weight (if you will be using it for backpacking), the setup of the tent can be challenging (particularly with one of the outer poles needing a lot of force to snap in place, and the way the inner tent attaches is a bit of a pain), and the headroom is quite low compared to other tents.
With that said, it’s a really unique design that provides a lot of room (particularly with the large vestibule space), is great for hot tenting, and handles wind like a champ. Hope that helps!
@@alpineadventures6516 thanks!
Why is everyone buying same gear and mimicking same person? Hmmm
