2024, and I am back here listening to this wonderful music. Crazy in Love and her Eyes are so touching and memorable songs.
I would love to see her in concert one day. I don't care if I have to go across the globe to hear her sing live in concert. What a genius. I am 15 and I have been a fan since I was 8. Yeah, I know, seems pretty unusual, but the more I listen to Antony and the Johnsons as more years go by, I learn more about life and I'm not the only one who suffers from stress and anxiety. I always listen to them when I am feeling down, just to get a good cry out. I am glad I'm one of these people who love any type of music from alternative to new age & classical. Very proud to be unique and enjoy this while it's here...
I saw her in Portland a few years ago and it changed my life. It's worth going ANYWHERE to see her. I promise.

I discovered Antony last night I have been touched by an angel.
I remember when I was a little girl my grandmother said to me in life you must be who you are if you cannot be who you are your wings will always be heavy with submit you must see who you are even with the flesh off of your body you must see the bones you must see your heart you must see the blood that runs through your body without the skin then you can really see the true self of who you are and it's true self of who you will become and a true self of who you will call of you so you must feel that heartbeat pounding outside of your skid you must see the beauty if you were blind and could not see you must hear the beauty if you could not hear so I ask of you when can you put on blinders at only see with your heart when can you put on the Mufflers on your ears and not here and be deaf and only hear with the touch of your fingers and your heart when will we stop judging people and look at people if we're blind and only hear of what we feel for on a finger emotions out thoughts I remember once I had to teach someone how to dress and they were blind and they could not speak nor they could not hear I had to show them how to feel the movement of the music by touching the piano I had to be in their world to understand how they felt how I could help their heart of learning I think we should all do that put on blond is once and see for the first time the real person the real world and maybe yes to even know what a sunset is in a sunrise we must put on blinders to feel the warmth of the Sun and yet even the bitter when to Winters we must be naked so we can feel how it is to be cold and needed to be warm maybe we need to put on nothing and just be the bone of of our bodies but yet still have a heart so we can learn how to love again

I discovered Anohni watching a CZcams video, the same way I discovered another talented artist, Amy Macdonald from Scotland. I saw Amy guesting at a Neil Diamond concert as she gave a unique rendition of one of Neil's songs. I discovered Anohni when she still referred to herself as Antony, singing counterpoint to Lou Reed, on the old Velvet Underground song, "Candy says." Her performance was absolutely stunning and brought reverential appreciation from Lou. This artist is far more than a talented singer. She is a transformational human being, who offers keen insight and humanity in her very being. I too hope to see her one day. She is breathtaking and gives me hope!

Quel étonnant personnage ! Et quelle voix ! Homme et femme à la fois. Un timbre chaud, velouté, coloré. Une voix parfaitement androgyne qui, phénomène totalement paradoxal, semble aigüe et grave en même temps. Une puissance contenue et les plus subtiles nuances, teintées d'un vibrato singulier. Un univers envoûtant porté ici par un orchestre symphonique étale, tissé de cordes planantes, et strié de touches de flûte piccolo ou de glockenspiel, des cuivres à la présence discrète, et, mêlé à l'orchestre, les Johnsons, les fidèles musiciens de l'artiste. I was there at the concert. One of the best concerts in my life!
The first couple of songs, Antony's voice was a little low in the mix. I think that it was after four songs somebody in the audience shouted 'we can't hear you singing!' Antony replied 'I truly believe my tech will does his best to solve this' After that Antony's voice was way more up in the mix. I think these are the songs that missing.
There is also another edit in this recording. In one of the songs Antony loses her lyrics, they'll stoped, and started over again a few bars back. When I saw this concert registration a week after being at the concert itself, I was really surprised how smoothly they took this mistake out.

What an absolute artist... I remember back in 2005(?) when he first broke onto the US music scene... Frankly, as a hetero guy (at least back then), I sometimes felt an awkwardness upon hearing something like this... I guess it's "challenging"... But his art is simply TOO deepm too beautiful to deny. I cannot help but love and feel him as a brother/sister. I hope he is happy and fulfilled in life. Much love, brother/sister Antony!

What an astonishing artist. Antony is one of the greatest, natural performers I've ever witnessed. His compositions are haunting, original, complex and gorgeous.Almost everything Antony does moves me to tears. Bravo, dear Antony!

Brilliant songs full of human depth and many colors instead of the unauthentic phony candy colors we hear and the tribal street music that only offends ! My son who is 26 saw Antony sing on a video “Animal House” when he was about 7 or 8, he never forgot that one scene Antony was in and years later looked it up on yutube and showed me. I was in awe, we finally saw concert in Sydney and got the Tshirts. I recently gave him a VHS to replace his original one long lost. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐸🐸🐸
