As a current TTS owner, I’d defo say it’s probably the best value for money you can get under 10k… so it’s easy to understand why the TTRS is best value for money under £15k

The s2000 models in the uk are all ap1, the facelift version had changes to the wheels and suspension. The ap2 had a 2.2 litre engine made for the USA market.

A bit optimistic saying a decent Z4M or TTRS could be found under 15k. Looking at extremely high miles/rinsed on track/far north of the UK

I own both a Z4M Roadster and the equivalent Alpina Roadster S.
I also used to own an E46 M3 CSL.
The Z4M shares not only the same engine (albeit producing very ‘slightly’ less PS) but also much of the same running gear and steering as the CSL. It also only weighs 25kg more than a CSL and much less than a standard E46 M3.
On the road, I don’t think there would be much to separate them. On the track, I don’t know but I reckon I’m not skilled enough a driver to be able to take either up to their full capability.
Comparing the Z4M and the Alpina? Well, in my opinion and experience, the Z4M ‘feels’ faster (has approximately 40 PS more) but when compared side by side against each other two skilled drivers couldn’t really separate them. So, to mere mortals, they’re the same!
Considering the performance (still naturally aspirated) I think they are still (thus far) HUGELY overlooked bargains!

Merry Christmas JB! Best present I got: one of the various bottles of booze 😁
Most non-car people would definitely see the 911 and perhaps still the Maserati as a huge level above the other cars here, which is kind of a shame - personally I'd find it a tough choice between the Z4M and TTRS. Audi wins on sound, BMW on handling. The S2000 suddenly got a bit more interesting when the GR86 came out, with nearly identical performance and similar handling, so the Honda is close to a soft top one of those.

I have an original z3 Coupé with original M Body Kit. Such a pure and simple car and quite fun to drive although any modern gti is much faster. The 6 cylinder engine is bulletproof. In now 18 years of ownership I haven’t any bigger issues. It is still a head turner.

I have owned all the cars on the list apart from the maz as they are so expensive to use daily the z4 is the one that I can say that I miss the most and I will never get one back for the price I sold it at being a convertible it was a bit harder to sell and I have a 911 996 trip tonic at current paying the slightly higher covid inflation prices at 20k on 94000 thousand c2 convertible in limited edition lapis blue and has a very good history and a fully loaded factory extra packages and I have been doing some upgrades and helping in it being a daily plus looks so much better than the older ones having the dull old looking yellow headlights on the most smoth and beautiful shape what a difference the led headlights have made in the looks also rear lights are led now a must for the modern day road legal issues on some brand's so be careful about cheaper options but it is so easy to fit yourself plug and plug so you save on the labour my wife did one side of the car alone with no problem in under 30 min we had All headlights fog etc front and rear no cutting wires or adding relay box just bulb for the fogs worth every penny it took years off the looks of the car bringing it to modern day style and adding improvements in usability and safety i have just put 2023 style gt3 BBS 19s on Michelin cup 2 and the car had the factory gt3 style club classic kit with iconic tail on the boot and a stainless full exhaust makes it into my dream car sounding as we expect a 911 to unbelievable transformation and everyone looks thinking its a 60k pluss car all costs included is around 6 thousand on modified items that personal are a must have to satisfy your expectations and usability of the car most boys of the 80 90s had a poster on there wall and like me thanking your probably never afford such a iconic racing car i know i did sat in a London flat it was a little upsetting looking back at it now and I'm still surprised now that I own one but for just under 30k I have my childhood dream come ture many people don't realise that you can get such a car for similar to there basic model new bmw or vw for a top quality one but I recommend don't think of a sub 15k car with low mileage being a bargain do your homework then you have to wait to find the one you want in the spec colour history etc you won't fulfill any expectations or just be happy with it being nearly your dream dream view many resurch extra options available from new there was a lot but the price will increase for a good reason a gt3 factor kit will transform it from a he drives a 996 to a OMG you have a 911 its a must have extra then the 2pice rim's then a daily driver interior extras required there are a lot and make a massive differences then the runing and upkeep are a lot more but they hold or increase in value guaranteed but have the z4m to get the best car in this list

I’m sorry, you’re not finding a Z4M for ANYWHERE NEAR $15,000!!! Even with an exchange rate they’re mid to high $20’s all day with most $30,000+. I take that back…I just found one for $14,000 with 197,000 miles on it. SO, if you want to buy one with essentially 200,000 miles that’s going to need $10-$15,000 worth of work…I guess have at it!
