Crossing Aktion, 1974

Description:
Aktio is a seaside village and the extreme point of the homonymous peninsula of the prefecture of Aetoloakarnania, in western Greece.
Footage from a moving car, a sign indicating that we are heading to the city of Preveza in Epirus.
Another sign that reads "April 21, 1967 - No to Communism", as Greece at that time had a government of military dictatorship (21/4/1967 - 24/7/1974).
Traffic in the direction to Preveza, close-ups of the driver and arrival at the port, where cars are getting into ferry boats in order to be transported to Aktio, a distance of some hundreds of meters, currently served by an undersea tunnel.
