    C/U of branches of yellow mimosa blossom, and people cutting the flowers for harvesting. Tracking shot through the mimosa branches, as the blooms are taken down the hillside. We see the sprays taken into a work area, where they are weighed and packed in plastic to keep fresh. The sprays are packed in boxes., labelled with addresses world-wide. We then see airline staff boarding. An Air France jet takes off.
    L/S of a hotel on a cliff edge. A woman and a boy are having a meal overlooking Monte Carlo. There are point of view shots along the coast road. We see a fisherman in blue jersey and beret fishing. C/U rough waves breaking on rocks. On the coast we see boats and palm trees, a woman picks lemons and oranges. People string fruit onto lengths of string to use to decorate huge carnival sculptures.
    Locals thread oranges onto wireframes for the 'Fetes du Citron'. They use a quarter of a million citrus fruits creating huge birds, fish, and boats for the carnival floats, and mosaic patterns on the ground. The girls in carnival dress throw confetti at the carnival crowds. A pop group play near a dragon float. People wave and children throw confetti.

    The oranges are not sweet, but bitter. They are just right for english bitter orange marmelade.
