This whole band is just insane! In my top five metal bands of all time! So good! 😆🤘

Vlad is on a island on his own in a genre where most people are sounding the same and adopting the same technique.

He is still playing on fortepiano. Classical music on drums. I see his kit as black white keys. Thats why set up is low and flat. Percussions in such delicate way in heavy music. Vlad"s hart has so many amazing beats in soo many tempo colors... pure joy

He also plays guitar and bass. Eugene has said that if Vlad wanted to play the trumpet, give him two months. Btw, #2 for Captain Clock is proper. Looks awesome.

Glad to see you do more Jinjer! Vlad is insane. You HAVE GOT to react to his play throughs of ”Vortex" "Mediator" and "Under the Dome"!!

First of all, great reaction, you can see he impresses you and me too. It's also good to see the Captain Clock where he belongs, back wall all day every day.
I'm not a drummer just a mediocre guitarist, but maybe the reason he doesn't seem to be dominant with any particular hand is precisely because he was classically trained as a pianist. I don't know, but I can't see a classically trained pianist even getting to any level with having dominance in one hand over the other.
Take care, see you again man. 🤘

Thanks man I appreciate that and I really agree with you on him being classically trained and not having a preference. I am so glad that he got into drumming because I feel like pianist naturally transition into guitar players.

I hated putting tape on my kit. I would go to great lengths to experiment with other methods. The solution I finally came up with (in the eighties long before the free floating rings came out) was to cut the metal hoop off of an old drumhead, then cut the middle out so it was a ring but still fit over the drum shell the way it did before. I would then put the regular head over it, put the rim on and tune it. It worked perfectly on the downstroke instead of the head rebound, it didn't float all over the place and didn't make weird buzzing sounds like the free floating rings can do.

He’s been in Jinjer for 6 years, so I’m guessing he’s played drums a bit longer than 5 years.😀

It's been years but I think from an old time pottery it's a store like home goods. If you search on Amazon for steampunk clocks you can find it there as well.
