A year ago I got a parking ticket, the woman was surprised by how nice I were to her, I knew it was my fault and she is just doing her job. Then she tore the ticket apart and said, because of my attitude, we would forget this all happend. Being nice pays off!

I've had similar experiences from behaving the same way, especially with retail and service employees. If I do have a complaint about something I always preface it with "I know this isn't your fault and you have no control over this, but if you can collect customer feedback for corporate...?" or something similar. Because it's not their fault. And usually they DO have an avenue to record customer feedback, and I've often gotten strings pulled just because I was patient and nice.

Paparazzi, debt collector & telemarketer are the 3 who annoy me the most.
But really anyone who either feels the need to peer (I hope I'm using the right term here) into the lives of celebrities (celebrity gossip in general annoys me) or even solicit over the phone annoy me & I'll usually ignore them.
I hate that "I pay your salary" complaint to officers because it's so stupid. Ya you pay taxes, but so do they! So their taxes are going back into their pockets AND into their co-workers pocket.
I don't even know why Paparazzi is a profession... It's literally just legalized stalking, is it not? No wonder so many celebrities are assholes, I would be too if I was always being followed and getting my picture taken against my will.

The only time I truly hated the paparazzis are when they chased Lady Diana to her death.
I remember a teacher telling me a story about how a mechanic did some thing extra to his car with out his permission, he refused to pay for it and demanded they undo it. In the end he didn't pay for the change but they left it unchanged because it would have cost the mechanic too much to undo it

My dad was a mechanic for 30 years. He never made fake charges, and that is why (or this is what he told me) that people would come from out of state to get their car fixed, because that's probably how much they hated other mechanics. XD
I gotta say, I have a fantastic dentist. He's very concerned with causing as little discomfort as possible and tells you if you feel ANYTHING to just raise your hand and he's immediately out of your mouth with his hands up asking what hurt. He doesn't do unnecessary procedures, and he's also really considerate of people who have phobias (like me). When I first started seeing him it had been years since I'd gone to a dentist so I had a handful of cavities. I told him I was extremely phobic of dentists and needles (bad experience when I was a small child), and he prescribed me a tranquilizer to take before I came in to get everything fixed. I slept through the whole thing. He's actually helped to ease my phobia quite a bit in the years I've been seeing him, and I haven't had any problems since because I have no problem going in every six months for a cleaning.

I agree with #1 completely. When I became a telemarketer because I had to for school, I fell into depression. Literally.
I did Parking enforcement.... It's so hard to have morals doing that job. To try and save what was left of my humanity I refused to ticket cars with car seats.... After the boss found out about it because my ticket count was low... Needless to say I'm not upset over losing that job.

the only reason Mechanics get a bad rap is because of the Sleazeballs that try to sell you services your car doesn't really need; and at the Dealerships, the Mechanics work with the salesmen to where if a repair goes over a certain dollar amount, the mechanics will subtly steer you towards the showroom (and the awaiting salesmen) to sell you a brand new (or a used) car that is likely beyond your means to pay, and then you get played right into the hands of the Debt Collectors/Repo Men!
Number 5 is the dentist?! My dad's a dentist! He's a pediatric dentist, and he's not one to want to inflict pain on his patients.

6. I don't know which one is worst: Getting Saman (slang for fine tickets) because we break the parking laws or being screwed by the scheme. In Malaysia, getting a Saman is a very big deal because nobody like to pay a hefty money simply because we make mistakes, especially the corrupted policemen!
5. The only reason for me not to go to a dentist is because I am not going to have another tooth cavity, which I already had some time ago. It wasn't pleasant experience by the slightest but I manage to take care my tooth from rotten because of that.....
4. We wish to agree that lawyers are the money grubbing bunch because some rich or famous wanted to abuse their power to cover their sorry a$$. There are some people who are willing to fight to protect the vulnerable though, depending on the corruption scale obviously....

That one is something I might agree because politics have a tendencies to brainwash people by either twisting the facts or even betray their trust, and the people have to suffer the consequences for choosing a wrong person to run things; not to mention that fluke election make things worse. Like it or not though, there won't be a country without them, no?
2. I don't know which one is worst that involving money: the loan sharks who try to unleash violence in order to get paid, or an IRS member who try to bankrupt you even you are as rich as Donald Trump.....

if it costs you 1k after an oil change, you probably skip enough oil changes (2-3) to severely damage your engine or +4 skiped oil changes and maybe have a blown engine. he called you about the necessary repairs and you said 'yes, do all the things that need to be fixed'. So he went ahead with an engine replacement.
For #1 thank god one of my best friends is a mechanic. He never says there's anything wrong with the car unless it was obviously a problem and does things pro bono if it's a simple job

I got a telemarketer call earlier today. I don’t usually pick up if the number is unfamiliar, but this one came in 3 times in a one-minute timeframe and I was starting to think it might be my cousins who are close to the area. When I picked up, I was asked to answer some questions for some kind of survey. I tried to interrupt in hopes of getting to tell him that he got the wrong number, but the voice appeared to be automated. So I hung up.
The moral: the moment you realize you’re listening to a telemarketer, just hang up. We have better things to do in our time.

From personal experience, being a bouncer is a shit job, dealing with drunk, hostile and often violent patrons, your entire job is dealing with those who want somebody to yell and cuss at, invisible unless there is a real problem, but needed to stop things from getting out of hand.
READ:By trade I'm an AV Tech but I also work security for Film/TV shoots. I love it! I get to be on set for 12hrs. straight and hang with the grips, actors, transpo, etc. I just worked 4 hrs. (short day) but got paid 8 because of our union. It was on the show Westwood.

I don't particularly hate them but like most people I only have to deal with them in times of stress meaning the contact is never very enjoyable. I also think if a few of them could have better people skills and be more pragmatic in order to carry out their jobs without pissing people off

As an electrician apprentice I can point out several ways us and other handywork professionals are either disliked or hated, but I'll put my focus on my current work:
People are not happy with us all working on renovating a hospital. They don't like the noise and messes we make. They really don't like the noise and vibrations in the building...

I agree, but I'm not surprised. I think it's mainly due to lots of people being afraid of them more or less, and sure they can be expensive but I don't think thats a real reason in itself.
We forgot about servers. It is a profession for many people, like high end Michelin restaurants all the way to dennys.

No 10.. having been a bouncer... You really ought to stop mixing real life with movies and TV.. A bad bouncer goes in thinking he's a hard man with his fist flying. A good bouncer gives you a look of "You start something... I.. will finish what you start." and you know he means it. Also having been a taxi driver, there is nothing worse than a drunken idiot who just wants to be a complete arsehole.
