Can you or should you add an in-line leaf basket to the hose?
Okay I would use a skimmer suction disk so you can leave the skimmer basket in there to catch leaves etc. And also don't dump the salt water out of the hose onto my pavers LOL

Your series is well compiled and nicely presented. I liked it.
I have access to an old fiber pool which has no water for 2 years now. I want to fill water and operate it but what should be the step by step process so that I don't miss any leaks which may waste the water.
Thank you royal dunes! You may want to first plug the plumbing returns and skimmer on the pool side and pressure test the plumbing lines to determine if they are all still in tact. Then the only way to test the integrity of the shell is to fill it with water and monitor for leaks. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
I am also facing same issue. A fibre pool kept for long without water. Don't know what to do.
Has a skimmer, two inlets and a drain. How much time does each testing will tale. Do you have any video which can be helpful or can you elaborate more to understand.
Hi @@ramk2466 ! Again it would be difficult to assist without seeing the pool in person. Pressure testing plumbing shouldn't take long at all. Simply plug the returns and skimmer and main drain (if you can...if not, close the valve to the main drain) then apply compressed air to the plumbing on the pump side with a gauge. If pressure drops you have a plumbing leak. you may simply be able to get a local pool company or a local plumber who can provide such services. Sorry to say we don't have a video like this in the queue just yet. But we'll be adding it for sure. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project.
Do I need to plug it when I take the basket out?
I'm getting a fiberglass pool installed next spring. Previously, I've only been familiar with above ground vinyl pools. When sweeping the above ground, I had to turn the pump off to connect the hose for vacuuming then turn it back on, due to how the skimmer is made. Do you have to do the same thing with an inground?
Which vacuum head do you recommend for fibreglass pools? I'm using a Fairlocks which combines wheels with a soft brush and wide suction surface. Do notice superficial cleaning scratches though which might not be avoidable however
Strangely, the spinning part of my vac hose doesn't fit my vac head.. .but only fits on the skimmer attachment. It even says right on the attachment hose that 'this end attaches to the vacuum', but the vac head only takes the other side of the hose, which is much smaller. :( Pool builder left it after the build earlier this year. Do I have a non-standard vac head or hose?!
How do I clean the tile best in my pool?
We’re in the middle of having our River Pool installed. Does it include these cleaning items? 10 weeks of rainfall halted work.
Most likely yes, depending on the builder who installed it for you. Here in Virginia we provide the homeowner with the basic cleaning kit shown.
Thanks for the video. Do you have a recommendation for cleaning the ring around the pool caused by sunblock?
Use enzymes from Natural Chemistry to eat up all that scum from sunblock and tanning oil.

Use Pro Zymes. You can buy it off Amazon. I use it all the time on the pools I service. Just make sure your chlorine isn’t over 10 ppm when you pour it into the pool or you will just oxidize and kill all the enzymes and it won’t work. Also for best results circulate the pool for about 24 hours after you’ve poured it in for best results.
