    This project will make istanbul more beautiful,
    And foreign investment will come, Real estate business will be uprising, core areas of city istanbul will increase with all types of facilities i. e Airport (Istanbul Airport) bridges water routes and with underground tunnel systems transport as a result more number of people can live istanbul site as a part of Istanbul city
    New New economic zones will form jobs increase and there are lots of other benefits also

    China would like to see the canal built so as to get the Panamax. Shipping to that area to increase trade part of the Belt road initiative. Russia not so happy because it could allow U.S. war ships to enter during peace time . Just what I'm starting to understand.

      But i have heared that it wont remain duty free for a long time...the treaty of lusiane included bosphorus to be duty free for 99 or 100 years...i guess this treaty was signed after the ottoman empire was defeated...100 years is going to complete in 2024....after this turkey will have full authority over this....

      Be there well wishes. Lausanne treaty was an act of plunder by anti ottoman powers, mainly due to week social economic conditions within empire . Sad , wish Turk recover their loss of past 100 years on expiry of this vile treaty.

    It is actually not that important in the modern times , only Romania , Bulgaria and russia need to pass through that straits. Suez is actually crucial for Mediterranean nations to link up with the Chinese trade.

      Correct. But Russian access to Med and Atlantic is extremely important for them, the only way (kind of) goes through Bosphorus. Its also politically and militarily important. Till this date, it remains one of the busiest gateways in the world.

That does not matter so much, though, all nations in the World are the product of colonisation, occupation and movement of populations. What matters is that the lack of contribution to World civilisation by such a big Empire, like the Ottoman. They came to the region just to grab whatever there is to grab.

      @@gerassimos.fourlanos without Ottomans all the Ancient Greek texts would be destroyed.Europeans were burning Ancient Roman and Greek books because "they were heretic" while Ottomans were translating them and adding new things.For example they loved Eflatun(Plato) and teached him in schools.Also also Ottomans are the reason why cannons became popular because we developed them.And the first Moon map was made by a Turk that worked for both Ottomans and Timurids.Ottomans did give stuff to civilazation but you are ignorant and don't wanna research it.
