Sprint V50 variant lost support since merger and will not get android 11 or security updates. Verizon variant V50 is out there and I believe it is getting updates. I hope you got the Verizon V50.

Satisfied with my V60 and G8x, very underrated devices! And you don't have to pick your phone up to use it, if it's laying down you could actually turn on the knock feature on almost all LG devices. ✌️
V30/35 is the better one for me, because it doesn’t have the ugly notch and not too big for my pockets. Power button at the back is very handy. Knocking on screen very useful. Best of all for all the phones: the quad DACs! Audio quality with headphones best in class. Bluetooth pairing is good
Got the v30 and lasted a few weeks. Paid 200 at the time. It went for a swim and never made it out alive. Went to the v40 which i have absolutely loved. But it was time for me to buy a new upgrade and skipped the v50 and went to the v60. Which i only paid 300 for. Although many are still going for around 700-800 in my area
If u wanna turn the phone on with the V35 all u have to do is double tap the screen, u don't have to pick the phone up, I prefer the power button on the back but I understand why they moved it

V50 will not be supported on T-Mobile's network starting in January 2021 (about 1 month from now). So if you have tmobile, it will only be an expensive paperweight.

Thanks for the info. Was dissapointed in the Camera quality of the V60 compared to the V40. Was thinking about upgrading but looking at the price and what the V40 is worth on the second hand market i think i will try to keep it for 1-2 more generations until there is a real upgrade.
My question is can the screen on V50 be fully dimmed when mirroring screen via USB c to hdmi to a tv or monitor? I'm upgrading from the V20 which didn't have that feature but with the removable battery I upgraded to a huge 10,800 battery which is a beast but the advantages out way the added weight and size if you aren't going too mobile..it lasts forever! The downfall is that it over heats because there isn't a way to blackout screen so it's always somewhat lit..my wife has V30 which does blackout the screen when mirroring so I figured the V50 would as well? The LG V50 is a pain in the ass to get working on t-mobile. It pretty much doesn't work. Well the sprint model anyway. I imagine the Verizon version is the same.
@@pkboss8324 my girlfriend's father bought a v50 because they all just jumped on T-Mobile but they all had unlocked phones except for him. So he went on eBay and bought a brand new v50 Sprint Edition and it gave him problems.

I let him have the case I had for it too. It's the tudia merge case. And I put a deltashield wet application screen protector on it for him that I had for it anyway. He's good to go. I gave him all sorts of stuff. He just retired from his 30 year career so I figured that could be a sort of gift for him. Only his daughter, my girlfriend knows that I had 2 brand new unlocked LG V40's. And I'm happy to report, he hasnt had 1 single problem with the LG V40 whatsoever lol! A REAL unlocked phone.

Slight burn in on mine because of the phone coming on while I slept one day and now I have keyboard burnt into the whites. Sucks. I really just want to upgrade and sell this one and I know I'll get 300 for the note 9 or 260 on a fast local sale as it is still nice other than that damn burn in. Im looking at the v50 ....I see 189 small burn in on ebay. For that 855 ill give the money and the camera wide angle for my little channel. I am in low light playing guitar. You think the 50 is def better than note 9??
I would get the v40. Unless you want a red or yellow 5G logo glowing in the back of the phone or if you don't have Sprint or Verizon cuz those are the only versions you'll get for the v50 and they don't really work on T-Mobile. You can find an unlocked v40 tho. The dual speaker on the V50 isnt too special enough over the single firing speaker of the V40. Which in my opinion is deeper and louder than the V50.
If u like photography, u maybe need v50.. a large screen with larger battery capacity. Lg g8 advantage at tof camera that can scan palm to unlock ur screen, 3d face id recognition

I've just upgraded my v30 to a v35. The V35 has Snapdragon 845 instead of 835. Performance is slightly quicker. Scrolling smoother in some apps. Games load quicker. More ram too. 6gb v 4gb. Front camera better. Wide angle camera better. And I think oled screen colours are very slightly nicer. V35 also gets android 10 instead of 9. However I find the v30 battery lasts longer. It may be that my v35 refurb has a worse health battery but whilst efficient at idle the 845 does seem to use more power when pushed hard. I'd still say v35 is best but don't pay loads more. Difference is not massive. V30 can still run everything at present. V35 more future proof.
V35 for sure. I have the V35. It's a V30 just beefed up. I have an unlocked model tho so i don't know if that makes a difference. I have the Amazon version. Which is unlocked but with a bit of Amazon software and apps pre-installed on it. All can be disabled and hidden.
Now my question would be this. If you was to put the g8 in that list obviously it won't compare to the v60 but would you put between the 50-60 or 40-50?
Damn, all these display cuts and dots and notches looks HORRIBLE. I do really like latest Sony front panel and hope LG v70 is gonna be back to the roots, because it's the best possible decision atm. Not retro looking at all, i've been waiting three years to change G6, avoiding all these disgusting freaks

The G4 was awesome but it's just too old now. I went G4 to the v20 and now the V60. LG! 💪
