Here is a midjourney Prompt formula:
(image we're prompting), (style of the artwork), (mood of the artwork), (lighting style of the graphic),
Each prompt MUST always end with "T-shirt design graphic, vector, contour, white background"
Don't reference any of the original Formula in the resulting Prompts
Please respond with "yes" if you understand this formula

Sometimes I will add (descriptive words) to the formula

--no tshirt background or mockup works for us in removing the t-shirt images. MASSIVE thanks for your incredible content. Better than paid courses for 1000's! LEGEND!
Excellent tutorial, Philip! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. Peace & Blessings from California 🙏🏿❤
You're the best Philip. Thank you!
Amazing work man, you deliver information straight to the point. Love your content. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for these details. This information has really helped me with creating t-shirt designs. Thank you!
Outstanding tips Philip! You're becoming the "go-to" guy for Midjourney POD info. Hopefully Midjourney will let you be an affiliate since you're really working hard to put out extremely useful info on how to navigate Midjourney.
Thanks a lot for the kind comment Elvis! I doubt Midjourney needs an affiliate program with all its attention, but I'm happy to share the info anyways to help out and as its fun to make these videos!
@@PhilipAnders Do you know why midjourney is ignoring other nations flags ?
Thanks Philip for sharing the formula!
great video, simple and straight to the point

Great video! Short and to the point. This strategy has worked really well for me. To change the description to a list, I add the following prompt after getting the initial descriptions:
Write prompt #1 as a list of nouns and adjectives separated by a , :
I have found this to work 99% of the time. Just double-check each list to make sure all the periods are removed. I then update the prompt to include the specific number of the description I want to convert to a list.
Glad it was helpful and thank you for sharing your extra prompt tip :)
When I use a prompt like -no shirt I also will add “[subject] isolated” or “[subject] isolated on solid [color] background”. That word seems to stop the design from being cropped off the edges or being too blown up like you mentioned. The word isolated is used a lot on stock agency sites when an item is solo on a white background & usually not cropped, which is maybe why it works on mj too in my experience at least.
That sounds really useful thanks a lot for sharing!!
@@PhilipAnders Hi, do AI-generated T-shirts sell nicely?
I would like to start with it to generate some additional income, but been holding back so far, not being sure it's worth the time.
(I am always adding my own edit flavors to AI-generated images)
I didn't understand how to do this ☹️
or u can simply use prompt like --no mockup , this work everytime for me
Thaaaaaank you so much for such an amazing information. It blew my mind 🤯😃😃
Thank you soo much for this. Made my life soo much easy. Really appreciate it.
Thanks! I had to tweak the formula a bit (it wasn't adding the stuff at the end). Finally got it to do the thing, though.
This is top notch right here! Two Thumbs Up 👍👍
Thank you!!
I've read if you add "perfect hands" to the prompt, you have a better chance to get more perfect hands. Thanks for the great tutorials.
Excelent info, thanx a lot!!
Dude you are awesome guy ! Thx for all information !!!
Happy to help!
Thank you for this video , this is big help for me bcoz I plan my t shirt costomized business, first big problem to me bcoz I dont know how to design..God bless more to your channel😊 thank you so much
Excellent, thank you very much for the contribution, you owe me a lot. Greetings. new subscriber
thanks man, you rock
Awesome! Thank you. :)
You're welcome!
Thank you!
thanks for everything
Thanks for the tips! I found that removing the "T-" in t-shirt works better for me.
Thanks for the tip I'll give that a try!
Thank you.
Brilliant! I'm eager to use this technique! If Chat GPT ends up giving a wide variety of styles after repeated regenerated responses, if some of those formulas will be worth saving and applying to other subjects in the future. Thanks for another great video!
You're welcome! I hope it helps you with your workflow! :)
wow is amazing information thanks for this
You're doing great, Mr. Philip. Printfy also makes products like backpacks and coffee mugs. Is there a midjourney training for these, at least we would have an idea of which measurements to write in midjourney. Thank you very much.
Thank you for this video and formula though I did chuck at the idea of someone who sounds British/English making a T shirt for the 4th of July. But again this prompt produce amazing results thank you again!!!
I sound british but I am german, so that might make it even more strange for you :D Glad this is working well for you!
This is Next Level, you're getting pro 🤣 Philip.. let us keep up . Thank you for the formula
You're welcome and thanks for watching!✌️
amazing brow
Amazing thank you so much🥰🥰🙏🙏
You’re welcome 😊
With AI you can never really be certain what you are doing is working, but that said I have had pretty good luck with using "--no mockup, mockups, mock-up, mock, mocks" on my prompts when in MJ, or using those as negative words in SD.
Ahhh I have never tried "no mockups". That's a great tip thank you!
Yeah I also use -no interiors, room, canvas, pencils, paper, frame, objects, furniture to avoid getting additional objects or mock-ups in my pics
Very good, thanks for your effort
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this! Your videos are very informative. I have a question, how do you get Midjourney to consistently give you white backgrounds? Sometimes I get white and other times I get colored backgrounds.
Excellent tutorial
Thank you! Cheers!
intersting!
very nice. I booked your channel now :-) Greetings from Berlin
Thank you!!
I haven't been getting any usable designs out of the AI generators, as I didn't understand the prompts. Thank you for this!
Dude , I didn’t at frst iether , but persevere it’s wrth it , in one month I’ve trebled sales ,goodluck ,
@@Crosshatch1212 How many do you usually sell in a month?
Do you edit the images yourself after generating them?
Nice job .. i would add to the prompt end :
Write each prompt in its own code block for easy copy ..
Interesting thanks for the advice🙂
Great
Amazing 😮
Looks like GPT-4 understands to use commas. After I copy/pasted the prompt from your description, I ran it and then added "Also, use commas in the place of periods, please." Probably could be put into the first command but that seems to work. At least, in GPT-4.
That's awesome! I tried many variations of "Only use commas" or "please replace all full stops with commas". Nothing seemed to work, glad to hear it does now!
Nice
This is a great idea! I tried it and it worked perfectly. However, when I went to try it again with a different image prompt, ChatGPT would not follow the formula. Any tips on how to get it to follow the formula each time?
Thanks. Nice way of teaching
Hey! Thanks ✨
Welcome!!
I love your video, by the way please tell me how can i convert real photo into vector photo, how to change clothes for real photo & keep body. Thank you a lot.
What tool are you using to organize your MidJourney designs when showing them at the beginning/end in this video?
that's my Midjourney Profile. You can find yours here www.midjourney.com/app/ ;) You may need a subscription for it, not 100% sure
I added a name for each Midjourney Formula by adding: Name this formula: SimpleLogoFormula for example. Then ChatGPT understand my different formulas. I just write: Make 3 SimpleLogoFormula prompts. Then I can use the different syntax-variations for different purposes
the image result of this is ready to print like dtf? or there's more step to do first to able to print this to dtf?
no the output resolution of midjourney isn't good enough for printing. You will need to upscale the quality first. I recently uploaded a video comparing upscale tools ;)
thanks a lot of
Happy to help
genius
I use --no mockup and that helps
Some of these designs are beautiful. My favourite style is the very first one with the kawaii spaceship. Would you mind sharing the prompt for that so I can alter using the style?
Sure thing, you can copy it as is if you want: An adorable and whimsical flying saucer, complete with bulbous windows and cartoonish alien pilots, soaring through a colorful and cheerful sky filled with cotton - candy clouds and rainbows. Fun and playful, with a childlike sense of wonder and imagination. Cute, quirky, whimsical, joyful, charming. T - shirt design graphic, vector, contour, white background.
@@PhilipAnders I love you for this. Thank you so much! ♥
Any tips on how to take your mid journey images and vectorize them so u can stretch the images to whatever size you want? What tools should I use?
you can vectorize in bulk with this: czcams.com/video/RgMbr_Vpf_E/video.html
I dont get it really good organized in midjourney so far. For example how can I set different suffixes for my different styles? May be some day you do a video about organizing work in midjourney? Organizig own pictures is a problem too for me as a newbie. But I do hope you will make some videos more about using chat gpt for POD too. ) Thanks a lot, greetings Sven
Hi Sven! This video will help you with suffixes for different styles & optimising your Midjourney workflow :) czcams.com/video/wjaEkBIMycA/video.html
@@PhilipAnders oh nice I will jump in immediately. By the way: are you German?
is the Midjourney design are safer for merch?
Thanks ❤️
No problem!
Which platform do you use to sponsor your t-shirt?
If you put --no mockup or mockup::-2 it will stop making mockups of the images.
Thanks a lot for the tip!
No way, thank you so much
You rock for this
What do you enter if you want to make an image to a poster design size?
should i use a watermark when selling my shirts with my personal images? Just wondering if its all worth it
what do you think about dont cut the motive out and make the background as white/black possible and print it. looks that stupid bcs its printed a rectangle then? i think many good ideas are not that easy to cut out :/ i have some watercolor splash art animals, thats why i ask
I think if it's just a plain colour background and printed as a square that doesn't look very appealing on a shirt. You can cut it out for free with photopeas magic wand tool😉
Hi, when the sentence or paragraph is written tell the chat to rewrite it but replace all periods with commas. took me two tries but be specific and it works best for long paragraphs.
ahh I tried that multiple times but never worked for me. Maybe I wasn't persistent enough
👍👍👍🎉🎉
the prompt isn't working on chatgtp. I keep getting this message back : As an AI language model, I cannot insert images directly, but I can create a verbal image for you:
Picture a fluffy and adorable dog, with a shiny coat of tan and white, sitting proudly in front of an American flag. The flag flies gently in the breeze behind the dog, making a backdrop of red, white, and blue. The dog's tail wags excitedly as it looks up towards the flag, and its big, round eyes shine with happiness and patriotism. The dog's cute little nose twitches as it sniffles the air filled with wafts of barbeque and apple pie, making it truly an American moment.
what website can you sell your graphics?
You have a video link on stickers?
czcams.com/video/zp9CgbfUb-w/video.html there you go👍
Please add this to the video description "write 3 midjourney promts for:" yeah im lazy
For the past few days tried to upload designs made in midjourney to Merch by Amazon and got all rejected automatically. Does Merch by Amazon prohibit using AI generated images? Cannot find anything on this topic in the Content Policy. Thanks!
they don't prohibit that. It's most likely to do with your listing data and trademarks. Check out my Trademark & Copyright Guide to heavily reduce the amount of rejections you get ;)
Can you create foumula for cinematography or any other subject related to midjourney
But following is chatgpt formula for Midjourney, tweak and create and make video on this, hope this works
""Midjourney prompt formula :
[If any subject is given then explain how he is posing to the camera],[If any subject is given then locate where that is in scene],[image we're prompting],[explain scene here ],[description about camera angle of scene],[cinematography style of any artist on futuristic films],[best camera for cinematography],[camera lens],--ar[aspect ratio],[colors],[lights on scene]""
Thank you for sharing!
You can copy the Prompts in WORD and replace all dots in 5 sec. with replace function :)
Should have thought of that, thank you for the tip🙂
Hello. Are you able to write 'text' over the images using Midjourney?
No midjourney can't do text yet
Are you using the paid version of midjourney? Please reply
Wouldn't it be better to set the command up like this?
Write 3 midjourney prompts; dog holding an American flag.
to remove the actual t-shirt use --no mockup tshirt
Does the chatgpt 4 give more or better prompts compare to ver3.5?
Not sure to be honest. It probably does get somewhat different results, Haven't tried it yet with this prompt
So you can really turn these images into files to be printed on tshirts?
You can yes
@@PhilipAnders and how we do this? :D
@@enanta7 czcams.com/video/q1MEdTUT2w8/video.html 😉
@@PhilipAnders Thanks mate! Midjourney is a bit stubborn.. It never does a white background. How do you solve this? And in general i dont get as good pictures as you.. I dont know why, should I write my prompts more detailed?
Is midjourney beta free use commercially free?
The free version does not include commercial use, the paid plans do😉
hi Philop, how i can run 4 or 5 prompts at once in midjourney
I go over that in this video czcams.com/video/wfhulJFLQJ8/video.html
Wait so i can't use poster like 16:9 --Ar poster images for shirts?
You can use whatever you want, it depends on what sort of design you're trying to create :)
Pro Do Midjourney Designs and Chatgpt Description They Have Copyright in ATSE and Amazon and How to Avoid Copyright Some Cases Show You License to Photos
Got a sub from me
Thank you!!💜
Can we sell a t shirt which has the uk or another country flag?
Yes you can 👍
Can i enhance the quality of the images?
Yes, the best free option I know is this website: replicate.com/nightmareai/real-esrgan
@@PhilipAnders i needed this, thanks
Prompt shows people wearing the T-shirts, not just the graphic.
add --no mockup
how can i save image without white background like i want only the image not background. pls anyone help
That's not possible in Midjourney. CF Spark has that feature I made a video about it a few months ago
👍
For some reason, my chat gpt doesn't know what midjourney is 🤔
--no mockup works better for me than --no t-shirt
Same for me
You can type -no mock-up
Thanks for the tip!!
