- hey guys! i'm aria. i create videos about anything under the sun. i would like to help incoming cets takers, so i made this video. i passed the big four and was part of the top 1500 scorers of the plmat. i was once an anxious cet taker so i would like to give you my tips in case you'd like to plan ahead. i came from ust shs and an incoming college freshman to the ateneo. please do comment for suggestions :)

hi i'm going to attend acad gateway this month and they're book is more detailed na summarized unlike the colegio advanced mostly summary of everything na mindanao may words ka ng di maintindihan.
I remember taking USTET for senior high, and I passed tho I nearly failed in Math...hopefully I would pass it again
(I didn't end up studying in UST tho cuz it was far from where I lived...)
My dream Uni. is UP tho, and their exam is probably on October daw (idk)
So I hope I could pass UP, even tho I'm really nervous about it now, this video helped me become less pressured in a way lol

Good luck on the CETs! You must really prepare in order to get into UP since competition is cutthroat. I used Adobe Premiere btw :)

You should really prepare for the Statistics section. May I also remind you that even though I took the latest DCAT doesn't mean it's the same with the upcoming DCAT :) Review, review, review, you'll never know they might change their format.

@@erin2704 it's good :) The closer the branch is to up, the more teachers you have who are from ADMU and UP. I enrolled myself sa refresher nila pero maayos naman sila magturo
@@ariaa Balita ko po, practice test based po sila? Like papasagutin po sainyo yung practice test tapos ituturo po nila yung nasa test after? Mas malalim pa po ba nila nadidiscuss yung lesson? Gumagamit po ba sila ng ppt? AHAHAHA malaki na po kasi sakin yung 5K kaya talagang tinitignan ko po kung worth it, I hope you don't mind.
Outside Manila po ako pero balak ko pong mag online class sa AG.
@@erin2704 Practice test based sila yes. Dini-discuss nila yung theories and lessons na related to the question. In that way kasi maco-cover mo yung possible lessons na lalabas sa test. Malalim naman sia pero ako kasi refresher lang inattendan ko kaya di masyado malalim discussion for english pero for math and science malalim naman. Depende pa rin sa preference mo if you find it effective. NOTE lang na wag mo sila gawing primary resource of studying. I studied a lot on my pastime.

When I took the Ustet shs, it was relatively easy. I'm not sure if that's still the case this year. Parehas lang siya sa CETs except it's easier. Super basic algebra and geometry lang lumabas sa questions. Try focusing on the fundamentals of math lang :)

If it's for the acet, math i think has 60-80 items while the essay is done with the english test so u rlly have to improve your time management skills

Yes! Malayo pa ang CETs :)
Magkano po lahat ng nagastos niyo nung nag-take kayo sa big four (like yung mga entrance fee po.)
For the fee, usually 500-600 lang. Since 3 lang na private universities inapplyan ko, more or less mga 1.7K lang since PLM and UP are state Unis.
Kinakabahan ako sa Math huhuhu. Hindi nya ko makasundo!
Edit: I bought TOK!! HUHUHU then I realized that's it's too straightforward bumigay ako. What can you recommend po please?
Hi! If you are self studying, I recommend buying MSA books since they have really difficult questions that can prepare you more for the CETs. You can also check if there are people who are selling their Academic Gateway books. :)
Hindi po kasi talaga ako magaling sa math. I'm torn betweer learning the basics first or the hard one agad. I feel like ang onti onti na lanh ng oras ko sa sa pagrereview kaya pressured ako sa sarili ko hahaha
During my review days, I made sure I strengthened the basics muna. Memorize mo multiplication table, practice ka ng algebra. As in tibayan mo muna pundasyon mo. Focus ka sa JHS notes mo. Once na alam mo na yun, the difficult questions will be a breeze for you. Start slow and easy ka. Practice on easy questions then if you mastered that na, you can try the difficult questions. I mentioned there to label each question you answer, kapag di mo masagutan, punta ka google and learn about that question. You'd be surprised about your progress after a while.

If grade 7-10, my final grade ranged from 93-96. Usually sa big 4 they would only require your science, math, and english grades.

Yes :) Grade 11 grades ng science, math, and english. Pwede rin nila hingiin grades mo on those subject areas when you were Grade 9 i think.
