- This SMITE video goes over the basics of rotations in Conquest. When should you start rotating, which roles should rotate earlier than others, when is farming better than rotating? All roles are covered in this video with some extra focus on support.

DukeSloth I've always felt a little awkward when trying to steal camps, especially when they're invades in the beginning of the game. Would that be big enough for an entire video?
+Echks don't try to invade if you're behind and often times you want a big burst when invading(like wrath) so it doesn't get stolen. For example if you have 3 kills when the second spawn of speed buff comes as a jungler, you should look to invade most likely(if your team is in position like your mid comes with you and your solo laner can rotate if their solo does as well) keep in mind that on first spawn of a buff you can use your buff timer to know when it will be up as it will generally have the same timer and try using this to be there when it spawns. If you just saw the enemy jungler back or know he did and you also know that speed is up you should look to grab their speed, assuming you're not in duo lane. (A lot of this is in a junglers perspective as I am a jungle main but could be applied to adc, solo and mid as well if you think about it. If you can't translate it to those positions I'd be happy to do so) hope this helps some :)

I freaking love your videos Sloth. Thanks for breaking things down. Been playing Smite since PS4 Beta and I feel like I'm stagnant in my skills because I only play super casual with friends. We do okay in causal conquest but if the opposite team has a sense of what they are doing we get destroyed. Trying to get my friends to watch these so they can learn what to do because what we've been doing doesn't work.

Love your informational videos Duke! I play Ranked and yet I still keep learning new things from you all the time. Most of the time, within a match people just expect you to know things, especially at higher ELOs, but it's hard to know all the aspects of the game really well.

I wish i had seen this video a couple of hours ago. I had a game as an Osiris against an Apollo in solo lane, everything was going great, i killed him a couple of times, but i never got to attack the tower, because of the teleport and his ulti he kept coming back to defend. Once he got missing i decided to rotate mid since there was a team fight there. Went over and killed their adc but in the meantime i saw Apollo attacking the tower and destroying it in a matter of seconds.
Once in late game he got fed, killed everyone and won the game.
Ah, that's rough :/ Apollo has got a really mean split push going, always gotta watch out with him. He's mostly not looking to win lane, but just look for split push! Hope your games go better in the future! :)
+DukeSloth would Apollo with a teleport trinket a little much since his ult makes it easy to rotate. or is that normal to buy that item no matter who is playing solo

Wow. I've been playing for a few months and wasn't aware of all this possible rotation. I knew jungle but didn't realize the other roles would do it as much. I mean I've done it as multiple roles, but never felt it was part of the norm. This helps open my eyes a lot.
Thank you for this video. I mainly play solo and my friend mainly plays support and he's always bitching at me for not rotating enough. This will help me get a better understanding of when it's appropriate to rotate.

My God this helps so much! I love Mages in any game and in months of playing and watching vids and mastering characters of all classes I can play the good mids well but I wasn't good at mid! Couldn't figure it out but I've been trying to pish towers and keep an eye on the other mid. It doesn't help that at low levels most mids just sit in lane with you and the 3 minute support/jungle/mid fights I see in high level vids and pro matches never happen. I've been trying to understand rotations but I always thought, well I'm squishy I should just farm and wait for a team fight right? But I end up either getting ganked by better rotations, playing the staring game with enemy mid or letting other mid disappear and trying to take their tower while they try ganks. I cal missing but clearly I should go missing after pushing the wave. Idk why this never clicked for me. Thanks, I've learned a ton from this channel! I also love support and I think this will take 2 of my favorite roles over the top to the next level. I am kinda worried about my ADC whining if I leave him in low tier play though.

+DukeSloth No prob. Also,quick question if you or anyone on the channel can answer. When and where should I ward at mid? Are early game wards at my back entrances best to avoid the ganks from junglers or should I just skip at and dump all money into items and early pots?
Kev1nL At the start of the game, don't buy wards. On your first back however, wards should already have priority over pots. Ideally get a mix of both, but wards are really crucial in avoiding early ganks - because that's when you can fall behind a lot. Also, as Sentry ward is usually better than 2 normal wards in middle. It's one thing to know when an enemy is coming, but it's much better to know if the enemy knows when you rotate out as well plus when placed aggressively, it gives your jungler much more of an opportunity to gank your lane as he'll know that the enemy won't have vision of him.

Today I played my first mid match, I'm new about conquest. Even if I ended 14-2 with Kuku I didn't know if I was supporting team enough or should have stayed in my lane. I just cleared waves and helped solo lane until I got fed and destroyed them with whirlwind dot in teamfights. This video helped a lot :)

Great video Duke. I don't remember if you made a video about positioning, but if you havn't could you make one. I have seen a lot of people try to 1 v 4 people and wonder why they die. It happens a lot in arena, people don't stick to positioning and you always have that one person that feeds the other team.

Somebody probably told it to you already, but proper russian translation for “Subscribe” is “Подписаться”, not “Подписываться”. “Подписываться” means to subscribe constantly. (To do multiple similar actions instead of one.)

This is something i didnt know what was it. I never did rotation during the match, I going with the flow and never pay attetion to that, I keep push my lane until the very end match or kill the phoenix.
How does Masamune actually work? The damage log doesn't seem to give that much indication of it being a seperate proc like qins.

Hi Duke, something I realised while jungling is that most people (randoms) won't listen to my calls, won't group up or even attempt gf or fg after teamfights. If I tell them, in a nice way not the usual bm or something, what went wrong in the teamfight I get spammed with 'quiet'. Any tips on how to improve the teamwork, or at the very least make them listen to my calls?

A question. How much should the jungler commit into taking wards? I saw you taking some wards once in a while, but not all that too often. I avoid jungle because somehow Im always way behind in gold and exp even when everything is going perfect at the start. Maybe this is part of the reason.
Can you make a video on when not to rotate?
i have a serious problem getting farm as a jungler and it gets pretty anoying, idk if it is because i play casuals and cant coordinate with mid for splitting camps and waves but i always get behind in gold/xp, i cant seem to balance doing camps, waves and ganks in a efective way, for example i played a game today as thor jungle and at some point i was 6 kills, 2 deaths and some assists while the enemy susano was 3 kills, 5 deaths and some assists and he had a slight xp and gold xp lead over me even though i was clarly winning in kda. it often happens to me that if i focus in mid and rotations i miss a lot of camps and stuff, or if i focus in doing camps its never the right time and miss waves or ganks. i watch weak3n almost everyday and its really sad (almost pathetic) that i cant figure out how to jungle properly :(
Always, I mean ALWAYS, clear jungle camps when going between lanes unless there is an emergency team fight. A personal tip: help out solo lane in the beginning of the game until you reach level 4. After, you can farm your own jungle camps but that little level 4 boost goes a long way. If you try to go straight for the jungle camps at a low level you will take forever.
So how long have you had the subscribe button change languages? Because I've just noticed it literally 2 seconds ago and I'd like to know how blind I am :P

the problem with that flowchart is that if everybody followed it nobody would leave lane unless their enemy backed or died
I know it's been 2 years... however, I think by the time someone really, truly understands when to leave lane, they don't need the flowchart anymore. A graphic like that is useful to start out with, though. It's kind of the "learn the rules really well before breaking them" thing. IMO.
Duke, who on a team should buy wards, and who should buy sentry wards? Most of the time I only buy them when the enemy is killing my wards. Im not exactly sure when to buy sentry wards
Mid, jungle and support should definitely buy sentries. Hunters and solos usually wanna keep their money together, so for them it's rather normal wards. Everyone should buy wards, even hunters.

I have a problem, in my account I always played arena bc of the time of the match and stuff now that I wanna play conquest it is so difficult because I'm level 30 with 25 gods mastered all in arena ... and I get rekt in conquest.

While everyone here tells you to get a smurf, that may help, but you will probably still face BM at some point. I would recommend finding one or more people to queue with that have already played conquest and can help you out! To be fair that's how Barra/Jeff played for 3+ seasons in the pro league and it was good for them (helped them win 2015 SWC)
