I still cannot believe that it's over. Even more so that it never happened. Even writing the previous sentece feels incorrect. The story is so vivid and tender that it seems impossible not to deem it real, factual. Each time I revisit the story I just want to turn back time and fix everything for them.
This film is so sensual, I absolutely fell in love with it, their characters were so real!! and in beautiful settings!! I was heartbroken at the end……..😂😂😂
society, responsibilities, parents expectations or mainly the environment at that time period was not really good for them to show their love publicly.
I watched this movie twice, once at midnight and another muted with the commentary synced. After that I swore to never watch it in full again to keep it alive in a memory of a sense, it just seems so fitting to do so with this film.
@@sriri is that what they are saying about Freeman and Ortega?? They are fictional characters. Only one was nominated for an Oscar and the other was bashed at.
The movie is based off a book called "call me by your name" it's practically about forbidden love since elio is 17 and Oliver is 20 sumthin but also it's based around the 80s I believe so being gay is frowned upon. It's set in Italy when Oliver moves to Italy for the summer to work with elios dad; a lot of people say Oliver "molested" elio because of the age gap, the movie doesn't show how much Oliver actually did love elio like the book does. Oliver in the end ends up marrying a women (his girlfriend that was on and off for 3 ish years or sum.) But it's over all a good movie even though it gets hate but it's honestly your opinion in the end.
don’t make me cry rn bruh i cant
Why doesn't the world not recognize that Armie Hammer is one of the most beautiful men on the planet?????

Rewatching every spring summer break. This movie is everything. I just can't over it. It's still in my head . Everything. 😢
But in the book, he said it's Oliver.. It was so sad..
God the book was so much sadder…the ending was feral.
oh no 😭
What did Oliver meant by " *I remember everything* "
@@is-it-rude-or-offensive he meant he remembers that summer, calling each other by their names and much more others things they were doing…

This edit.....
I'm starting to think u won't get over THIS MOVIE... the end is so so sad
Such a beautiful and touching story…🥺
My heart is breaking in thousand pieces rn💔😭 how could oliver do that to Elio😢
I think Oliver isn’t as brave or strong as he pretends. Perhaps I am judging him with 21st century eyes but Oliver couldn’t embrace who he was.
society, responsibilities, parents expectations or mainly the environment at that time period was not really good for them to show their love publicly.
It's some elio in every relation and some oliver plays always
