I find it really nice how you don't know the value alot of cards offhand. I work in a card shop and it's so much nicer than seeing people checking a price after every card they open.

What about the misreadings? "Then shuffle your hand" "Your opponent lose five life and you gain five life." (When it said EACH opponent lose 5 life, you gain life eaqual to life lost this way.) How can he read that wrong!? HOW!?

***** Me too. the Termagoyf would be a sweet reprint. I wouldn't mind Doubling Season getting reprinted in MM2 as well. It was in MM1 but I didn't get to buy any of that set.

+Richie Torres Keep in mind not everyone is desensitized like you may be from opening thousands of boosters, hastily skipping the majority of the pack. Some people still enjoy the commons and uncommons.
+Aaron Rigney Yeah but the reason we watch him opening £600 boxes is because we want to see what rares he gets, that the exciting part, I personally cannot afford to buy one of those boxes so I'm watching it just to see what rares he finds

City of Brass was in Arabian Nights, Chronicles, 7th, and 8th. Jung Park's take for Modern Masters is based off of the 7th edition version from an artist who is now deceased.
Assuming he picked up this box for 200, its pretty crazy how high value this set gets to be. Granted this was a solid box in terms of rares (Clique, Sword of LaS, Blue pact, Green pact, Kokusho) but even after them the uncommons (and a few commons like Rift Bolt and Lava Spike) add even more value. I wonder if buying into MM2 will have similar results in 2 years.
I wish I was playing magic at the time these really cool sets came out. I am thankful that another modern masters is coming up and I want to get as many cards from it as I can. :D

When I played, ICE AGE was the new series...back in what 1995. I think I got a box of booster packs for about $100, and that was a lot then, I was only making $5.50/hr. To hear what the costs are now is staggering

Its the nickname of the card Dark confidant. Its named after the guy who are painted on the card. Think he won some big magic tournament in 2003 or something like that.

Modern Masters was designed to be drafted, so they had to switch the rarities of a few cards, increasing or decreasing the rarity to fit the potential power level of each box.
Lava Spike is actually much different than Lightning Bolt. Lightning Bolt is an instant which can do 3 damage to target creature or player, while Lava Spike is a sorcery which must do 3 damage to a player.
i love seeing him casually look at total bomb rares like he has no idea what they are - FOIL ENGINEERED EXPLOSIVES. *yawn* haha :)

Mission Success! I am one of those that would love to purchase a box but i am currently at the point of being unable to purchase even a single booster. I love to play but my highlight is opening the packs. So being able to watch is not quite as cool as doing it your self but for now it is extremely satisfying. THANKS A TON!!!!
How could you not know city of brass came out in Arabian knights when your into vintage... and when you where like all the foils pulled so far have been commons when you pulled a foil spell snare and foil engineered explosives
Omg, I would love to get a MM Booster Box. In Brazil, a single booster of that colection costs R $80,00 (About 20 dolars)
not only that but the predator foil goes for about 15 and the spell snare goes for about 20, thats pretty good lol

Summoners Pact can come in pretty handy for a one turn kill.
There's only 24 packs. That's only 66% of a standard booster box size, which only average 3-4 mythics per box. There's a reason MM Goyfs are $120. They're insanely hard to pull, on top of being in a limited print set.

First: There is a foil in every pack. Second: Limited run. Third: More expensive rares and mythics than in normal boxes .
Love that modular is reprinted. I was going to make a legacy land destruct deck with a bunch of modular and artifact return.

2. I like when you show the commons because I didn't play in any of these past sets so Id like to know the cards.

Dude I got 4 packs today. Got Sarkhan Vol, Keiga, foil Pestermite, 2 Spell Snare, Doubling Season, and then in one pack got a Cryptic Command and a foil Spell Snare! My box is coming next week I'm so pumped!

I'm a new player and i find watching people opening packs / boxes to be informative so i'd like it if you went over the commons as well :)
A good source, who leaked the mutavault in m14, said that it would be reprinted in m14.
I'm waiting on my box in the mail. I hope I get it tomorrow. I did a draft this afternoon for 40 bucks, and I got a tarmogoyf and a foil engineered explosives!

Lava Spike is used by Modern red burn decks as Lightning Bolt 5 through 8 and they're worth more than Lightning Bolt because the Bolt got reprinted recently in two core sets in a row :)
What really ticks me off though, is how he constantly mispronounces Plumeveil. It's plume-veil. Not plum-evil D:

They aren't. Time spiral takes place on Dominaria. The planes of Modern Masters 2015 are Zendikar, Mirrodin, Ravnica, Lorwyn, Kamigawa, and Alara. Only sets that take place on these planes will have cards in modern masters 2015...

The Inclusion Of Tarmagoyf is most likely due to the high MSRP of packs and the banning of Birthing Pod
I do not think this guy knows the value of a foil spell snare or engineered explosives. But with two foil jace's laying around i can understand him not being overly excited
I think they should do these set every 5-7 years that way they have a good selection of cards to choose from and its still a rare thing if they did it every year I don't think there would be as much value

I agree there's no way in hell that card is selling for $600. I opened one today and promptly sold it on eBay for $290. The other ones with bids on them were around $300.
he said in the beginning that he would do the first box like this. If he keeps to his words he will open the rest by skipping to the uncommons... I know it's hard, but you'll have to stick through it. I know you can!

I got one of those in the 2014 core set my friend and I bought! that's worth like 150 now!!
Grindstone is the best mill card ever but the thing costs around 10$
to me a good box of magic will get me at least 65-70% of my money back after opening it but for a box like these ones what has me wanting to get one is the variety of great cards you'll get from it value and playable cards even if i did only get like 150.00 back on the purchase lol :)
Mispronouncing cards used to bother me too; but after my roommate intentionally began saying "Auri-ella" instead of "Aurelia", I got over it.
Well watching this video makes me feel a little better about myself and how horrible my luck is at opening booster packs and not getting much of anything worth wild in them, though almost all mtg cards are good if used properly in battle. Some I will say that I question their existence but at the same time I'll make a deck with them just to get a laugh out of people when they see me kill us both with the deck.
