This hits home. I remember one summer I met this beautiful girl from Japan and the moment we locked eyes it was clear and evident. We spent a whole summer together while she was in Florida with me and that summer came and went like a candle in the wind. Till this day no woman has ever embodied that magic that has stuck with me to this day. Now she's happily married with a lil' daughter. I couldn't be more happier for her. I hate country music. But I messaged my wife about this song (she loves country) and told her that I thought this song was amazing. It really touched a chord somewhere deep inside. She told me that it was a song by that "banned country musician" and I just lost my mind. This is what music is supposed to be about. What's wrong with the song?!?! Its great!!! She tried to explain the politics of it all......... it didn't make any sense. This is one of the greatest songs of the last 5 years. Maybe its only because I drive a 92' Silverado with pealing painting and 140k miles. I love that truck! My heart hears this song. Because my wife...... and yes..... and it just make sense.
My kid has listen to this as a calming song since birth . Whenever we play this no matter what my child is doing they will stop and just listen and relax .
