YAVA! (actually Yabai!) means like "oh no!" or when describing something dangerous or surprising.
They're fusing ska genre and metal in a way no one did before, the charming of our girls is unmatchable.
The Kami Band intro in this one is super fun, Mikio Fujioka-sama doing some magic here. (R.I.P.)
This was live compilation with footage of Five Fox Festival 2017 and mixing up with Big Fox Festival 2017, that was the last live performance for YuiMetal, sad moment everytime I remember this.
The Kami Band doing a different intro unlike the rest but still being impressive and fits totally with the song and the ska rhythm.
"Chigau" in the lyrics (when the girls sing that backing chorus) is the temporary title fans gave to this song when live premiere without knowing the song, the word means "different" and totally fits with the meaning of the song, this could be a song talking about them, you know the surprise factor of being different.

"Scalloped" fretboard. Yngwie Malmsteen uses them as well as Taka (the dude with the pink ESP Snapper). They do use keyboard backing tracks in many songs. "Yava" (pronounced Yah-bah as Japanese doesn't have the "v" sound) means "Oh No". I didn't see the CCing. Just in case you didn't see them, it's basically about people being different, choosing sides and the struggle with thinking about them. PS. from Wikipedia: "Djent (/dʒɛnt/) is a subgenre of progressive metal characterized by its use of complex and heavily syncopated rhythm patterns. Its distinctive sound is that of high-gain, distorted, palm-muted, down-tuned strings."

YAVA is such a fun song, I really miss it. And it's so unique, too. No other band would do something like this.
Ah yes, this video at one of the Fox Festival concerts with Yui wearing her back brace and with the slightly toned down choreo because of her injury. And among her final performances with BM (I still get emotional about it). Great reaction to continue their discography!
Yava! is my all time favourite Babymetal song. The combination of metal is ska is so unique, and the song is so catchy and it has the best choreography.
This was during the Five Fox Festival series of concerts, which where Yui's last performances with Babymetal before her illness stopped her from being able to perform.
The Kami Band for this performance is (in order of solos) Mikio Fujioka (guitars), Takayoshi Ohmura (guitars), BOH (bass), and Hideki Aoyama (drums). BOH's bass is an AterlierZ Beta 6 BOH's Custom. Boh is a sponsored artist with AtelierZ; they actually sell a bass based on BOH's specifications, but it's very pricey.
It's just "jent". It's an onomatopoeia of the sound of strumming downtuned strings.

Djent is an onomatopoeia (great word by the way) that describes the sound of a low distorted staccato note played on a tuned down guitar. Likely coined by Mårten Hagström, guitarist for Meshuggah, the D is almost silent when pronouncing so it sounds more like "gent" (as in gentle). Fun fact for the day!

I feel that BABYMETAL is not just a band to listen to, but a band whose choreography is worth watching.
ESP makes his (BOH) bass scalloped 8 frets toward the bridge end and only the bottom 3 strings.
