I've been there, it can all change. Tips to help you : stay sober, and don't do nothing all day. Happiness is a by-product not a goal!! As in goi g for a walk, cleaning the house, painting a room whatever you do the distraction mentally gives your mind time to produce good dopamine and the by-product is a better mood. Step by step it can turn your outlook around. But mostly sober 5 out of 7 days.
For a while I thought my computer was having issues so I rebooted several times and was running diagnostics while parsing error logs,. But I now see others have mentioned the intermittent lagging as well. Glad it is NOT my computer lol! This is a testament to how much I care about SuperGT content :)
if you find this issue again, just rewind the video for 10 sec or so and see if the lagging/glitching occurs again. I had the same issue but this was the fastest way for me to check if it was the video or my system going bonkers

Hey Steve if you're not aware, you can upgrade ur nations cup car in ur garage, and it bleeds through the BOP when in nations cup. ie, upgrading to carbon breaks and race pads, and u'll have it online in the BOP race. Possible that the guy who beat you had better bolt on parts
I did some tests around this and it honestly doesn't seem like it. The PP value only appears to be higher because it doesn't recalculate it after the BoP sets all downforce values to 0.
Really enjoying GT online at the moment, my first time playing GT since GT4 all them years ago. Nice to have racing where people actually race and behave properly.
Ah this game. I was so excited about it. So I finished the cafe missions and now I can't win any cars and don't make enough money to buy them (which is not what I want to do, I want to race to win cars like you could always do before)
If you are done with licenses and missions you can do track experience. They don't require you to buy anything and completing a whole track can reward okay money but they can also be very hard.
@@vstaritz Thank you, but I know that. It's the lack of cars and money I'm complaining about. The track experience and the other little missions are not much of a cash cow. Especially the more difficult missions where you spend a lot of time getting the gold medal
I can't even play it because Sony suspended my account for saying the word "Gay" in the chat when the game bugged out as in the pita at the start of a manufacturers cup.
I had some high expectations going into my first race, but got used as a bumper for other cars to bounce off into turn one and four several times. Going into a turn faster doesn’t mean anything if you have to use other cars to stop you. Pretty gutted and demoralized by the whole experience.
I'm enjoying the game thus far and I must say coming back to your channel is always a treat I just love these videos they're so entertaining. Shadow Realm never gets old hahah.

The game play is so fun man I really have to give it that and the graphics are crisp but this has so many flaws it doesnt even feel like a full video game.

I wanted to buy a PS5 just because of GT7. But I am skipping this game because of the hours of grinding or microtransactions you have to do. I never bought a Xbox. This will be the first time.
Everyone else is already talking about it, his channel has always been about the online experience anyway so there's no need to tell someone who IS having fun with the game to stop having fun with it.

@@TheRockyBalboa100 knee jerk reaction going straight for the Xbox which only has Forza Horizon as a racing game, wait until both PS5 and GT7 gets cheaper, until then PD should've finished the game properly with events that have higher payout. As of now GT7 seems to be only 70% finished. PD have promised to tweak many of the issues that have been criticized. If they don't add events with better payout per hour spent involving more of the racing cars then that would be a much more valid reason to not give a PS5 and GT7 a thought.

Cool, nations cup starts the 24th here in the Netherlands. The manufacturer cup started yesterday. Still a little wobbly, but they will get there. Loving the game and played al GT games.

Man I haven't played in about a week. The prices on things in this game are a massive drag and I don't have time to grind the ridiculous prices of some of the cars. I did not expect to feel "done" with GT7 in less than 2 weeks, but I'm almost at that point. If they don't get it together soon, I might just sell my copy. I can't support what they are doing with this game.
I know right. I wish this had similar levels of content to earlier GTs. Not really sure why this game felt shorter, especially since I play more casually and don’t have time to play for hours on end. Yet I finished it within the first couple weeks
I still have confidence in Polyphony because of how they supported GT5, GT6 and GT Sport. I don't like the always online, as for example Test Drive Unlimited 1 & 2 allowed you to create separate offline or online profiles. Seems like that should have solved part of the issue. It doesn't help that Polyphony's style of communication is no communication. But from how I feel treated as a fan with the previous games, I expect loads of new content in terms of events, cars, tracks and modes like B-Spec with Sophy. Polyphony don't release yearly titles, so they will be supporting us with (probably) monthly content for several years. I understand if you want to just get rid of the game right now. But I suspect they'll win you back in the end! Or so I hope.
I don't understand why it's annoying everyone so much. GT isn't the kind of franchise where they pop a new one out every year, if everything was dirt cheap you'd buy all the cars straight away and everyone would be in the same lobbies with the same cars. At least now there is a bit of variation and it means as the time goes by you still have something to spend your credits on. It's not great but it's not end of the world bad as people make it out to be. If you play FH4/FH5 you have so many credits and get so many cars from the spins that you don't have anything to work towards.

It's funny how SuperGT just skipped over all dodgy recent stuff: The full price game with micro transactions, expensive cars that can be bought for up to like $40 each (compared to $5 in GTSport), the further nerfing of ingame currency earnt by playing, after release, the less cash from custom races making replayability even worse, single player being online only with DRM and the server having gone down for over 24 hours so no-one could play (their full price game with additional microtransactions and encouragement to buy cars with real money) and a few other things that every other man and his dog has made a video about in the last couple days. Company man through and through?
Any tips or tricks for GT7, started playing GT again and forgot how good it was. I struggle to overtake others, fearing I will bump and get a penalty. I mainly gain positions through peoples mistakes

I always was a Gran turismo fan and for now, besides some negative press, i really enjoy Gran Turismo 7. The Gameplay is super fun. This is also the first Gran Turismo i try to get into the competetive scene mainly because you encouraged me. I am not as fats as you though. Your videos are great and fun to watch. Yea man. GT Sport was super competitive. Got me back into the franchise. I was never a huge fan of GTs single player stuff but I find it to be one of the best online racers out there. The community is great too. Sport pretty much reinvigorated my love for racing games.

lmao literally iRacing rookie week 1. I just got into sim racing because of you, but I don't have a PS4 or PS5, so I'm playing games like iRacing and AC. First iRacing race was on this circut with this car this week. edit: jesus christ you're so much better than I am. What a pass to take P3 in that second race.
I'm dissapointed with Playstation at present and what they have done with monetisation in Gran Turismo 7. GT7 is a fantastic game, but what Sony and Polyphony Digital with monetisation and reducing race payouts is just greedy. It puts them almost equal with EA, Take Two and Ubisoft in being greedy publishers, that only care for money and not gamers. We all know that reducing race payouts and increasing car costs is a way to make us spend real money on buying credits. Before the 1.07 patch, I was thinking that buying credits was not a bad option, if I didn’t have enough at the time, now that Sony and Polyphony Digital are trying to force us to buy credits by reducing payouts, I will never spend any money on credits. Also, why do we need online connection to servers to play solo? This make no sense and just makes it impossible to play when the servers are down. I’ve played Gran Turismo since it first came out in 1997, 25 years ago, for the first week of Gran Turismo 7, I was feeling very nostalgic, seeing the old track in there upgraded form. Now after patch 1.07 I’m feeling frustrated and disappointed, the reduced payouts make the game too much of a grid to earn enough to buy and upgrade the top cars. We know Sony and Polyphony Digital did this because not enough people were spending money on buying credits, and we were playing the high payout races repeatedly to earn credits, but this is a key part of the game, we race because it is fun and to earn credits to buy more cars. We don’t play games to spend money on microtransactions. Another problem with the game is the roulette mechanic, it is too much like gambling in its visual presentation, and it is rigged to give the lowest reward 95% of the time. I tested this buy saving up tickets and then opening them in one go, and I pretty much got the lowest reward every time. The visual aspect being like gambling, trains the mind to get a kick from this affect, and on young minds will make them fee the same thrill with seeing this in a real gambling situation, which just leads to personal disaster, this should be removed from all games.

I did two nation's aswell, the first one I got punted ever backwards from a 6th place start, to eventually dead last a full half lap behind and a rage quit. The second race I was surprised to see that I was back to being a B rated driver again, but I managed a third,😁 No. 1 in my region 😁. I was the only entrant 🤣😂🤣 Like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅
Would really like to hear your thoughts/opinions on the recent update and the EA-ification of Gran Turismo in regards to these micro transactions, severely diminished level of progression, lowering of race prize credits, etc. Currently has a Metacritic user score of 1.7/10. Down from around 9/10 just 2 weeks ago.
Wish I could pilot as well as Super GT. I am always off the pace by 2 seconds on the leaderboards guess thats just the limit of my abilites. I blame old age lol
GT7 need to do way more daily races. Having only 3 doesn’t make sense. PLUS they need to adopt iRacings penalty system so people can get DQ’d when they try to crash others. Along with all the other stuff in the penalty system.
SuperGT, I love your videos been watching you for years. Could you put your opinion on Polyphony "nerfing" the credit grind, not being able to sell cars for credits, huge expensive new cars as DLC (like 18-19 million) and then starting to sell microtransactions AFTER reviews? Not to mention the game being down for over 48 hours and then not being to able to play at all because it's "online only". I have been a huge Gran Turismo fan but I saw Polyphony doing weird stuff in Gran Turismo 5 when I pre ordered the collectors edition as a kid and that left a bad taste in my mouth. I am absolutely shocked how they have treated this mainline entry of a game, and I think you would gain some huge respect as one of the biggest in the Gran Turismo community to speak out and do a video about it. I know you might be sponsored or maybe by embargo by Sony / Polyphony but if not, please consider doing a video so that Polyphony can wake up and maybe change this game to the better and to what Gran Turismo name deserves.

I always was a Gran turismo fan and for now, besides some negative press, i really enjoy Gran Turismo 7. The Gameplay is super fun. This is also the first Gran Turismo i try to get into the competetive scene mainly because you encouraged me. I am not as fats as you though. Your videos are great and fun to watch. Yea man. GT Sport was super competitive. Got me back into the franchise. I was never a huge fan of GTs single player stuff but I find it to be one of the best online racers out there. The community is great too.
Sport pretty much reinvigorated my love for racing games.

lmao literally iRacing rookie week 1. I just got into sim racing because of you, but I don't have a PS4 or PS5, so I'm playing games like iRacing and AC. First iRacing race was on this circut with this car this week.

I'm dissapointed with Playstation at present and what they have done with monetisation in Gran Turismo 7.
GT7 is a fantastic game, but what Sony and Polyphony Digital with monetisation and reducing race payouts is just greedy. It puts them almost equal with EA, Take Two and Ubisoft in being greedy publishers, that only care for money and not gamers.
We all know that reducing race payouts and increasing car costs is a way to make us spend real money on buying credits. Before the 1.07 patch, I was thinking that buying credits was not a bad option, if I didn’t have enough at the time, now that Sony and Polyphony Digital are trying to force us to buy credits by reducing payouts, I will never
spend any money on credits.
Also, why do we need online connection to servers to play solo? This make no sense and just makes it impossible to play when the servers are down.
I’ve played Gran Turismo since it first came out in 1997, 25 years ago, for the first week of Gran Turismo 7, I was feeling very nostalgic, seeing the old track in there upgraded form. Now after patch 1.07 I’m feeling frustrated and disappointed, the reduced payouts make the game too much of a grid to earn enough to buy and upgrade the top cars.
We know Sony and Polyphony Digital did this because not enough people were spending money on buying credits, and we were playing the high payout races repeatedly to earn credits, but this is a key part of the game, we race because it is fun and to earn credits to buy more cars. We don’t play games to spend money on microtransactions.
Another problem with the game is the roulette mechanic, it is too much like gambling in its visual presentation, and it is rigged to give the lowest reward 95% of the time. I tested this buy saving up tickets and then opening them in one go, and I pretty much got the lowest reward every time. The visual aspect being like gambling, trains the mind to get a kick from this affect, and on young minds will make them fee the same thrill with seeing this in a real gambling situation, which just leads to personal disaster, this should be removed from all games.

I did two nation's aswell, the first one I got punted ever backwards from a 6th place start, to eventually dead last a full half lap behind and a rage quit. The second race I was surprised to see that I was back to being a B rated driver again, but I managed a third,😁 No. 1 in my region 😁.

Would really like to hear your thoughts/opinions on the recent update and the EA-ification of Gran Turismo in regards to these micro transactions, severely diminished level of progression, lowering of race prize credits, etc. Currently has a Metacritic user score of 1.7/10. Down from around 9/10 just 2 weeks ago.

GT7 need to do way more daily races. Having only 3 doesn’t make sense. PLUS they need to adopt iRacings penalty system so people can get DQ’d when they try to crash others. Along with all the other stuff in the penalty system.

SuperGT, I love your videos been watching you for years. Could you put your opinion on Polyphony "nerfing" the credit grind, not being able to sell cars for credits, huge expensive new cars as DLC (like 18-19 million) and then starting to sell microtransactions AFTER reviews?
Not to mention the game being down for over 48 hours and then not being to able to play at all because it's "online only".
I have been a huge Gran Turismo fan but I saw Polyphony doing weird stuff in Gran Turismo 5 when I pre ordered the collectors edition as a kid and that left a bad taste in my mouth.
I am absolutely shocked how they have treated this mainline entry of a game, and I think you would gain some huge respect as one of the biggest in the Gran Turismo community to speak out and do a video about it.
I know you might be sponsored or maybe by embargo by Sony / Polyphony but if not, please consider doing a video so that Polyphony can wake up and maybe change this game to the better and to what Gran Turismo name deserves.
