Arm twisted into committing to helping the city farm is far greater a deal than bringing our the wrong speech lol

The future "Jim Hacker Cuddly Animal Sanctuary". That laugh at 3:43 with the supposed child licking the nasty lollipop kills me every time especially with that political fake kiss but when the child goes to kiss him back it is so funny😂. This is probably one of my favorite scenes of the series (I actually have so many favorites that it's impossible to label them all). Paul Eddington nailed the facial expressions of Jim Hacker. The entire cast - especially Sir Humphrey Applebee (Sir Nigel Hawthorne) made this show along with "Yes Prime Minister" Great!.
I remember meeting Nigel Hawthorne while he was filming the movie "The Clandestine Marriage" with Joan Collins at Stanway Country House in the Cotswolds in 1998. He was incredibly kind and surprisingly took us back inside the house where they were filming so we could meet everyone. When security tried to remove us he stated we were personal friends from the United States lol😂. A class act and I loved that he spent time speaking to us about the house and gardens and introduced us to Joan Collins. We spent about an hour with him that day and I remember expressing how much I loved his role in Yes Minister. He told us how much he would laugh with Paul Eddington on the set and how sad he was when Paul passed away. Afterwards, I remember how annoyed I was at myself because I forgot to get a picture of him with all of the camera equipment i was carrying with me lol. But this was also well before we had such easy access to our cell cameras on smart phones. I will always cherish the memories from that day.😊

What's amazing is how relevant this show stays. Our current politicians utter such BS, you're not clear who they're addressing.

Interestingly, which party would he have represented if he were Prime Minister? As Minister he has a mildly left wing ideas, but as Prime Minister he's very Tory

Sue Lawley, one of the last breed of newsreaders that told us the news and not offer their opinions and generally maintained a neutral stance. Also in an age without daft American style humongous banners at the bottom of the screen trying to tell us about other news as we try to focus on the news being told to us.
