That broke my heart, first sayori in the base story, now natsuki in this mod. That's why I love the DDLC community, making stories very deep. Now I'm going to cry, good video :')))
You know, no matter how many times I've seen playthroughs of this mod the ending always breaks my heart. But other than that this is still one of the best DDLC mods ever made all be it one of (if not the most) sad ones.

Jesus, I watched all 4 parts of this and this was...I don't even know what to say. I love DDLC but man this was just a rollercoaster of emotions for a mod story.

I'm at a loss for words... As I'm writing this I'm wiping the tears away from my eyes... This mod, Is the MOST emotional mod I have EVER seen.
I don't think I could look at Yuri the same way again... The mod was so Intriuging, It got me hooked, and I too fell for the story. The ending is just... wow. I'm honestly heartbroken. I'm really at a loss for words heheh.. Honestly though? These mod devs did a SUPERB job at this mod! It really did capture the emotional side of things (managed to make me break down into tears, which I haven't done in years), and all-in-all, had such a beautiful story. Next up is the Redux version, Let's see if the mod devs can make me break out into tears a second time. Well done to all of you who made this mod. Fantastic job!
I remember seeing this for the first time and actually crying, the only other mods to make me cry were fallen angel, outcast and the good ending, it's why it'll always be one of my favorite mods, ddlc amor fati got close to making me cry but not close enough, still another to add to the favorites so I'd recommend checking it out. Exit music will always be iconic in the ddlc community alongside rain clouds despite the hate and criticism. I also love the fact that exit music didn't go for a "happily ever after" ending, reason is because the meta in the community is "save everyone" or "save (incert doki name here)" and there's nothing wrong with it but you gotta at least make it unique and interesting or add a twist or something to keep the viewers' attention, because ddlc is a horror game for a reason and technically not a pure visual novel but a form of it so if there's too much romance and/or mushy moments it just strays away from ddlcs' main goal, like I said there's nothing wrong with that but it will get a little dull after a while.

Now this is one of the best mods I've ever seen. The ending was sad and all but that's one of the reasons why I like it, it's so sad that makes you want to cry and omg even in the beginning it was really good if I had to rate this mod after seeing this video series it would be a higher rating than a 10. Personally if I get to play Doki Doki the first mod I would play is this!

When I saw the broken phone I thought that MC at first had been hit by a car. But when I saw what actually happened...dear god...
That could imply that MC’s phone was either still in the bathroom or it was with him and he just dropped it

Never thought both would die, makes me really sad.
Honestly I prefer the original exit music over the redux version and the simple reason for that is it feels like the bond between MC and natsuki was much stronger in this version and more fleshed out.. so it's just so much more depressing for me to see the unfortunate end of this story.
They made one mistake, and natsuki ended up right back in the very place she escaped from with the help of MC. I think at that moment she realised all hope was lost no matter where she ran she would always be found and that was enough to make her suicide. MC also missed her funeral which sealed the deal with him really, he had no reason to go on.
Overall i do like the story in this mod but i hate how insufferable they made the characters especially sayori and yuri. They both fail to understand how much MC loved Nat especially after shes died so sayori calling him a jerk for snapping is completely out of chracter and just wrong. You dont say things like that to someone thats mentally at an all-time low that just lost everything they cared about. Sayori of all people should understand that! That was sayoris last word to MC as well, it wouldnt surprise me if she met a similar fate if this version of the mod had an epilogue.
Yuri is by far the worst here and doesn't really need any explanation at the mod speaks for itself... like she has no care and cannot comprehend how much MC has lost yet all she cares about is being with him or in other words forcing him to love her because shes 'more of a woman'. Yes its the classic act 2 yuri traits but i feel like most mods that came out at the time exit music was new overused this way too much it just ends up making her very unlikeable and it makes you feel disgusted at the end of this story.
I give the original exit music a 6/10 overall as i do like the story despite how tragic it is as the ending kept me quite sad for a few days, but its ruined a bit due to certain characters being written in a way that goes against their original personalities.

I still feel like there was no reason for it to end this way. After all that effort, not only does Natsuki kill herself anyway, but MC loses all hope, his life falls apart completely, he misses her funeral just to add insult to injury, and then he kills himself too, in front of Monika as she begs him not to, now putting a burden on her... It's needlessly depressing and actually really upsetting... ;w;

I honestly didn’t cry, I can see why the Natsuki master race would be saddened by this, but I’m not one myself. But for me fallen angel and rainclouds, oh boy… I’d even say rainclouds has the worst ddlc mod ending in history.

Kinda late but I felt like the Monika ending for Purist was more sad. Maybe also because Natsuki is my least favorite and Sayori and Monika are my favorite. But also because it is perfectly bittersweet. I recommend it if you get the chance
