In this series, we're answering the unanswered question of who has the best punishment in TEKKEN 8. This is the third instalment, where we'll be collecting and comparing to find who has the best 15 frame punishers. Hope you enjoy!

important to note that leroy's 15f punish rotates the opponent to face leroy directly, meaning leroy does not have to do a different combo and sacrifice damage if he were to sidewalk an opponent and launch them.
for Jun db1 1 1+2 is probably better more dmg and heals also triggers wall breaks

Mistake at the end, Claudio's i15 launcher is df1,2 not df2,1.
The bear's 15f launcher is arguably the best 15f punish considering the range it has. Bears can launch punish moves that others struggle to. Jack's atlus hammer? Kazuya's new string? No problem
Confused on why Shaheen’s hop kick is so much lower compared to Claudio seeing as it’s the same move, albeit Claudio out ranges by a measly .01. Shaheen should be 2nd here imo

I think it's an overall character ranking. Claudio's df1,2 is much better than shaheens other option

Nina's b1+4 is underrated. It leads to the highest damage at i15 among the whole cast (95 dmg in open space without rage, heat or walls). Plus it has big range and launches crouching opponents.

How safe the move is doesn't matter, just the range and the reward, damage / oki.
Also, some launchers were shown in prior iterations of this series, this is strictly i15, go watch them.

While that is a completely true argument, I still kinda think having a safe launcher is important. You're not always going to react to every move on time or there are times when the game takes your input late due to lag or whatever, especially when you've guarded moves that are hard to perfectly react like Leroy's ff2,2 or Jin's samsara. I would also consider ease of use as well.
Like dvj's 15 launcher for example, here it's number 2 on the list but the fact that it's a move with a down command(which isn't usual for a 15f launcher) and the fact that it's death sentence on block, most people don't usually think about it constantly, making it slower to use reactively. I think, psychologically, having a safer and easier-to-use move would make you think about it more and thus make it more reliable to be used on reaction.
Including what you've said, I think the video is pretty pointless when it comes to practicality and in-game usefulness. Also, the factors that were considered in the rankings were really vague and lacked explanation(I understand he wanted the video to be short and simple). That's why I think people are really critical in the comments.
Personally, I also have gripes such as how is Lee worse than Feng, how is Victor only 15th on the rankings, and while I get that combo damage wasn't a factor what's the point of having good damage if the combo route is so limited and leads to having very poor combo.
Only d/f+4,4,3 is guaranteed for Raven. f,f+4 only hits if the opponent moves on the ground.

Get your key input display corrected...the command direction input of 2 hit 15f launcher is correct...but the 2nd hit key is displayed first. Rest of the vid is great...keep it up 👍😊

I get that electric is impractical as a punish, but jet upper is bufferable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so you’d think it counts. These picks feel pretty arbitrary.

Honestly the important information here is highest damaging punisher for i15, not specifically i15.
Also the next important parameters are range of the punisher, ammount of hits before combo, the way in which it launches them and following combo routes.
None of this has been factored in, making the video pointless outside of showing which chars don't have i15 launcher.

Kazuya needs a 15 frame launcher and I know that EWGF exists, but in online matches it is hard to punish with EWGF
They haven't given him an easy 15 frame punish for well over 4 Tekken titles. It's pretty much a part of the characters identity. He is notoriously execution heavy.

I don't get any of the ranking at all tbh. What "stats" are taken into account? How is Shaheen low tier when Claudio is up high, when their hopkicks are the same range? Why is Nina in top 10 when her df2 is stubby and b1+4 is 2 hits? How does that make her i15 punish better than Lee's? His are just as short ranged.

Reina can do df3,2 to access wind god fist without execution for punishment, in heat it's a true electric, it's very conssistent so imo she should be higher

Nonsense. Yoshimitsu was ranked 13th, yet has maybe the best df2 in the game, because it's safe (-7 ob) and launches crouching opponents on CH or on hit +4s~+5s. I don't know of any other safe df2 that can launch crouching.
And others, like Paul's, are good for their evasive properties. Yet Devil Jin is ranked 2nd despite having none of this?
It doesnt launch crouching, also this video is for punishment and not application (evasion and safety)

I personally think yoshimitsu has the best 15f with his df2. It dodges high attacks like jabs and is safe at -7 if blocked!
Remember, he's talking about it as a 15f punisher, not just as a 15f launcher. I think range is a big factor here, since Jin and Devil Jins cancan are really shit moves to just throw out, but as punishers they have great range and lead to 90+ combo dmg routes.

its block punshment, but it still doesnt make sense since the actual combos are what matters and not launcher damage.
On block. This is hit ranking, and dvj blows up armor with d3+4
