    I would also consider to take off boot badge button and give it a good clean up. I did it recently and found a way too much mud under the badge rubber sealing ;)

    Thanks for the video, but strictly speaking, no need to remove the entire inside plastic cover, just remove the small hatch & do everything from there

    Hi, maybe you could do a video about fixing the rear trunk not rising that 2 inches when unlocked. It would be very helpful and I didn't see anything on the web about this problem ;)

  • @johnlenerd
    @johnlenerd Před 2 lety +2

    You don't need to remove all that to get to the bolts. Just take off the smal covers with a flathead.

      A lot more challenging to film and show everyone though. Thanks for watching. All the best 👍

      Hi, not specifically on that part I’m afraid. Sorry. All the best 👍

    I have a water leakage problem, when after a rain the door (trunk) is full with water, I mean really full, when I open it a bucket-load of water is rushing out of all holes on the lower edge of the door. I suspected that it's through the rear wiper's hole which is covered by a rubber seal. I have changed it to a newer model now (following one of your previous videos), but didn't help. Now I noticed that the left rear light's plastic is broken on the top edge (has many little cracks) and after a rain water is visible inside, so I plan to change it to a new one. Hopefully your video helps again.
    But here is the question: can it be that the water gets into the trunk's inside through the broken lamp? At least that's what the mechanics suggested today. But now checking your video I don't see any connection with the inside of the door and the place where the lamp sits. Is it possible?
    Update: I have taped over the upper edge of the lamp to see if it helps with the water leakage. After a night's rain the trunk is again full with water. So it's going inside somewhere else....

      Quite possible through the rear wiper hole. That’s the largest exposed cavity. All the best 👍

    Thanks for the vid. Question.. Since the DLR lights can be bright and mask the front turn signals, I have ordered front turn signal LED's. When ordering the rear LED's the seller said that they most likely won't work on the Giulietta. It seems really difficult to find rear turn signal LED's that don't crew up the canbus or fast blinking. Do you know any rear turning light LED's that work on the Giulietta?

      Afraid not. I know some people have managed to fit resistors in the circuit to make them work, but can’t help with that I’m afraid. All the best 👍

    The strip light is broken on mine, would I need to replace the whole unit ? Thanks

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  Před 4 měsíci

      Depends on how it’s ‘broken’. If the unit itself is damaged then likely, but have you confirmed it’s not a cabling fault to it? Is power getting to it? All the best 👍

    If that led light is not working do we change the whole. Light is there a way please it's urgent

      Hi. Are you sure it’s the light and not the wiring loom? More often than not it’s the loom between the boot lid and body. I’m not sure if the plugs on both left and right sides are the same, but if you can, I’d try and test the unit first before replacing it. All the best 👍

    Hi Tony I have a heap of dead bugs trapped inside the boot trunk lights in the corners closest to where it meets the other rear lights. How would you recommend the best way to get them out without ripping them open?

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  Před 2 lety

      Hi David. I guess it depends on how stuck they are. Have you considered blasting through the bulb holes with a hairdryer or something to dislodge them, and then a hoover?
      Let me know. All the best 👍

    • @dashman1620
      @dashman1620 Před rokem

      @Valentin Čartolovni lol I did something silly but it worked
      I removed them, opened then up at the back a little then took my leaf blower wedged still while aiming it around the back of the lights with them in my hand to funnel the air to flush the bugs out lol

    So you need to take the whole light off to change the light bulb?

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  Před rokem

      No. It’s possible through the opening by removing the access panel piece. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

    Mine stop working the led bulbs. Do I need to change the whole unit or can I buy just the bulbs??

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Manoloplos. The led’s are soldered on so it will be easier to change the unit in my opinion. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
