@danwipper I bet that was awesome switching back n forth ' KY back in the 90s we had many Stereo shops ' but now we don't anymore everything went to home theater even my fav Barney Miller's only has1 room for hifi MAC/Klispch/Focal I go up atleast once a year ' but not impressed for pricepoint ' Hard to beat Vintage ' their built so good !
@@briancampbell7712 Definitely would not want to roll with hard bumps but many things can go sideways carrying stuff and this is one instance where I'd want absolute minimum risk. I'd put it on a stack or carpet or soft foam. Treat it like being shipped (can you imagine packing to ship?)
I had the 508 and loooooved it! One of the best bargains, as I got it with a bunch of gear bought by some kid who just wanted to blast some truly terrible music at extreme levels. I paid $500 for the amp, it's fantastic matching preamp, a Grand Integra CD player (not so great, but then I don't listen to digital music), and two party speakers with blown tweeters. Chucked the speakers, ignored the CD player, and got the 508 repaired for $120. Bought some Klipsch speakers and a great turntable and proceeded to enjoy it massively for years.
@@denniseldridge2936 Do you know that the M504 and M508 share the same amplifier boards .On the m504 one transistor pair is not populated .. If you added it you have an extra 60 watts or more
That's really cool and all but hide two Purifi 1ET7040SA units in a cabinet like that and what you'd have would blow the doors off that thing and cost less than half and only wiegh 10 lbs. Yes it's cool but this is 2023.
