- This is Kuwait City a mega-city made up of many smaller cities. Here I am driving from an outer suburb of Salmiya to the main City center, and back to Salmiya. The entire drive took me over an hour. Total distance covered 56 Kms
Thank you for making this video. I grew up in Kuwait, from 1977 to 1992. Always wanted to go back, but haven't been able to. Watching this video brought back a flood of memories, of going to Salmiya to shop for books, toys, clothes. So many new buildings I don't recognize, and yet, so many of the old buildings that were there in the 80s are still around. Some of them are easily 45 to 50 years old!

@@Maniacguy2777 im iraqi i lived in kuwait because my family works for the u.s army and we were enlisted there. my little brother got into a fight with a kuwaiti boy who was discriminatory to my brother and would threat to k¡ll him or hang our family because he was iraqi. weeks later we got a call from the us army chief that we had to evacuate the country for our safety when we reported that kid to the school and that wasn’t good because we could’ve lost a lot of money. not only that someone asked if saddam hussein was my grandpa 💀 i have nothing to do with that man
so note to you is that when u go to kuwait remember it may look modern but the people there aren’t they still have their minds stuck onto what saddam did to the country
