What’s is with the dinky spotlights popping off… It feels like most of the Midnight Express boats on this channel lose their spot light with rough waves… watch at 2:58. Or even the contemporary modern boats have weak roof structures.
does anyone know about how much the SKATER @ 6:05 would set a person back.??. and also is anyone familiar with the boats at all and or maybe what people say about them and also what kind of reputation does the company have as in their reputation/quality/service??
Skater is one of the top of the top builders. A new Skater like the one in the video will set you back around $800,000. You can get old ones for around $250,000.
80% are of shore fishing, some just cruise around. Remember there is a whole inland channels where they cruise. I dont know if you still watch this channel, but some boats use Haul Over as a testing ground... lots to do on a boat in south FL.
What are yalls thoughts on the marine industry looking forward ? With the governments war on gas engines, the economy going to hell Technology changing Think it’s still a solid industry to get into ? I’m just starting out in an apprenticeship as a marine tech I’m focusing mainly on electrical components for the business I’m working for I enjoy the challenge of figuring out difficult electrical gremlins Being able to solve problems that more experienced mechanics gave up on Thing is though, I’ve had a couple guys warn me about getting into this trade That there’s not going to be boats left to fix if the government gets its way N the ones that are around won’t be used much anymore And winters are slow… I’m not getting laid off or anything but I’ve had some short days already so Not sure what the future holds for me here Some input from guys in the trade, or just been around a while, would be appreciated
