  • In this one I go over how to break down the shocks to install the lowering kit needed to fit the look I'm going for on this bike.
Simple install, but couldn't find much on CZcams to show in detail what this entails.
Hope this helps someone trying to do this install!
Catch ya on the next one!

When putting them back on the bike make sure to use grade 8 bolts... ask me how I know...

I Certainly did. And I bet that wasn’t a fun experience?!

@kingfabandoffroad8203 Only one side broke... the front bolt, of course... it doesn't fall far enough down to jam into the pavement... I zip tied it up and drove it 15 miles to a place I could get it on a lift... removed the one shock and rode home 100 miles on the one that didn't break. It was really low riding home on one shock.

Where are you located? I have some rust on my 04 Tacoma that needs to be taken care of and I can't find a place around Denver that does that sort of thing.

I’m in the center of Missouri. So that’d be a hike for ya.

@@kingfabandoffroad8203 It'd be a hike but that isn't too terrible. I drive back home to Oklahoma pretty often, so that wouldn't be too bad if you're willing to take it on. You have an email I can reach out to?
