Thanks, putting in same unit. Read through the manuals but everything was horizontal and updraft with only a few diagrams regarding downdraft. So after watching your video we feel more comfortable about how we set it up.
I just bought a two story house with downflow furnace/ac upstairs. In this configurstion, doesnt the cooled air pass back over the drained condensate water since that is the direction of gravity? My AC seems to be adding humidity to my home(relative humidity increases by 1% after each cycle) i wonder if this is a negative side effect of downflow???
Great video Rambler Dow flow Ac i have going down to a slab looks like is leaking nothing comes out from drain but water is going inside any ideas i’ll appreciate Thanks
@@etbseui6958 where do i start..? 1 noisy ass return to do that whole house.? All that shitty flex when could of easily used ridgid duct but instead takes the easy hack way of doing it
@@etbseui6958 unless there was absolutely no overhead space left there should always be space between the furnace and the coil in a down flow application for a multitude of reasons. If you don’t believe me on that I suggest researching into it. A lot of information out there on the issues is causes
@@cardinals4774 thats bs you dont need space between the coil and furnace . I always read the installer guides and it never states that you need to put space betwen .

@G B 😂 it’s going to be fun!
Great video, and instructions! If you can do more vids on different set up, and sheet metal plenum boxes would be great! Keep up the great work!

Nice bro
@manuel Rodriguez thank you!
Just out of curiosity, how much weight can that plenum hold?
I know that setup gotta weigh atleast 200lbs with that coil & furnace box..
a metal square box (plenums) can hold a lt weight. a 5 tons airhandler on 19 seer weighs more than that set up
That’s only 150 lbs max
