My favorite part of Woke Hollywood this year was Robert De Niro cursing Apple at the Gotham Awards for not letting him slam Trump during his acceptance speech on a movie that has nothing to do with Trump or politics in general.

If Hollywood goes bankrupt, then good riddance! It's very rare to see a decent modern movie. I mostly prefer pre-2000 movies and shows, especially in the 80s and 90s of my youth. Go woke, go broke.

Kennedy's point is the one that most surprised me. Entertainment is a business and I thought there would be a course correction after so much failure. But, instead of making sound business decisions. These companies blamed the consumer.
That's spelled course not coarse but yeah I agree with your sentiment.
Looking at the state of higher education in the US, it’s clear that the current generation of executives has been trained to put virtue signaling before sound business management. For example, ten years ago, Bud Light executives would never have looked to a transgender activist as a spokesman because they understood their business fundamentals.
Because it is an influence operation that occasionally makes decent movies. The interesting thing about today's "capitalism" is you can print money through loans of 'money' you do not have. I'm calling you out 'government' backed fractional reserve banking.
Not much different than what the Democratic Party is doing. You would think Biden's dismal poll numbers would trigger some sort of course correction with their policies, if out of a case of pure political survival if nothing else. Instead, all you get is feedback about how it's all the fault of voters, basically that we're too stupid to realize how great things are. That the news media needs to do a better job telling voters how great things really are. That the problem is simply one of inadequate messaging on the part of the news media and the Democratic Party politicians and spokespersons.
They're so wrapped up in how enlightened and progressive they are, so caught in their own hubris, that they can't believe that THEY'RE THE PROBLEM. And since many of the Democratic Party elite are politicians from safe districts and states, where they face no real threat of ever losing an election, there's no incentive for them to change their thinking.
Same basic principles apply to the "woke" Hollywood crowd. There's little to no accountability when a movie bombs at the box office. It's just part of the process. "Too bad movies goers couldn't realize how great and insightful this movie was". The same producers, directors, and actors will move on to new projects.

Just saw “The Sound of Freedom “. Not a power house in execution, probably due to budget, but it conveys the feelings and emotions that hook you into watching movies. I’d watch it again.👍
I've always been a movie fan but it's getting harder and harder to find any worth watching. Sound of Freedom was the only one in several years that I've actually gone to the theater to see and even though it won't be an Oscar winner, it was a movie worth seeing. Hollywood has really gone woke and if it goes broke, I sure won't cry 😢

A rare skill. Johnny Carson used to excel at it. His monologue would bomb and the audience would still wind up laughing...
Tyrus is a better guest than host. The guest hosts make you appreciate how good Gutfeld is at his job.

I haven't watched anything except 70's, 80's, 90's snd very early 2000 tv series and movies. I got sick of the Hollywood lectures! The last movie i saw in theater was Avatar. You know, ehere the horrible humans cut down all our trees and traveled the universe cutting down other people's trees...
My kids wanted me to see that movie with them. Rented it and within 20 mins, I told them it's nothing but more lefty loon propaganda. Didn't see the rest. Besides, the characters were just too weird looking and ugly.

I gave up on Hollywood when the classics started to die. Yes, these past movie stars had their things, but no one knew. They wore clothes. Beautiful clothes. They put out some really good movies. The only thing Hollywood, what's to put out now is blood and gore. Oh, and they want to tell us how to live when they are the ones who don't have a clue. Step out of your ivory towers and find out how real people live or dose that scare you. You just need to realize who and what the real world is. You mean nothing. Saw it. It was good but the post war Japan setting and the U.S. more concerned about Russians than the Giant Radioactive Prehistoric Lizard stomping everything looked like a lame political jab.
