Neurosis is always something really special and deep for me. Great interview!
First saw neurosis in 97, opening for pantera at the Salem armory. Two days after my dad died.
I saw Neurosis the first time with Isis in Minneapolis at first Avenue in 97/ or 98. Best show of my life. Changed my life.
A life wouldn’t be worth living without - Neurosis and Amebix
Such a insightful interview. playing music should be a life's journey not a shallow experience.
Hey, i saw Neurosis at the first time in the 90's in germany (berlin) where i come from. It was so deep, powerfull, beauty und timeless. It is the only Band they move my spirit, soul like no one else...... I wish the guys all the best and luck from this World!!!! Peace ; )
Was it at the SO 36 in the mid-90s ?? With these weird back projections ? I was there too.
His new record, No Wilderness Deep Enough, is incredible. I agree, his best yet.
hell yeah, i have been listening to it a lot going to sleep. calms me down and makes me feel like a badass at the same time, haha.
Indifferent Eyes and Wild Iron especially are just perfect. i can listen to them forever!
This interview deserves more views! Steve is a major inspiration.
Great interview!
Love this. New record is classic overnight
Cool interview. There is a early Neurosis show from 1987 Berkley. CA on CZcams where you can spot Steve in a crowd (at ca. 32.50 min.)
That could be the very show that Scott Kelly met him at! Scott says in another interview that Steve bet the fuck out of a guy who stage dived on Scotts kid at a Neurosis show
I like that he has this mage like appearance with the beard/shaved head
San Jo!
🙂🥰🙂
Daron is that you?
why is Kiss always brought up by these elder gods?
Kiss is overrated, at best. always has been. never understood the appeal.
Having asked older guys about this, it seems to go back to being a kid in the 70s and Kiss being that first band they discovered. They also had a comic book kinda image so that appealed to kids. I agree though they're a terrible band and I don't get there popularity.
we’re talking about young teens here. while i was not a fan of kiss in the 80s in my early teens, i liked equally crap music at the time.
I love Neurosis. Everything about them. I feel like whenever Steve and/or Scott speak I need to make notes in my mind. They are so full of knowledge and inspiration.
