Genealogy is very important in his culture and regular indigenous Kazakhs can easily tell you their lineage for 7 generations. Raised from birth to assume the title of ceremonial head of his family, it was given him at 18 in a thousand year old ceremony. His father is titular head. Dimash takes his responsibilities and ceremonial duties to his people and Homeland locally, nationally and internationally with great seriousness of purpose and performs them all with grace. The interpretation of the song by Dimash is brilliant. He touches my heart and soul ... every time.
The shaking of his head and the trembling of the chin has nothing to do with the vibrato. It just goes to show that Dimash can be a little nervous and tense too. It was about a lot. In the previous Episode 5 (Uptown Funk) he yanked everyone out of their seats but still got last place. Either he won now or he would go home. Of course, Dimash won Episode 6.
'Adagio in g minor' - today, known as one of the most popular compositions of classical music; composed of alleged fragments of Tomaso Albinoni's; in 1958, joined together by Remo Giazotto (* 4. Sept. 1910; † 26. Aug. 1998 - Italian musicologist, music critic, and composer).
Camilo Sesto wrote 1985 the original lyrics in Spanish to this piece. Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. Composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian arranged the piece into a pop song. Since then, this song has been part of Lara Fabian's repertoire.

Lara is a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child Dimash wanted to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and for Dimash the dream came true of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoy in 2019.

Okay I think dimash is a wonderful singer in my opinion his voice is a gift to mankind from the heavens above. Yeah I remember you mentioning on previous podcast about him lip-syncing oh, I don't know who it is that spread this rumor but I've never heard of anybody lip singing in a competition. There's always going to be haters out there who thrive on negativity. I don't believe for one minute that dimash has ever lip sing do anything at anytime. So to all you haters out there if you don't have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all.....
He did lip-syncing on those Russian TV shows. He had to 🤷♀️, although I think he sang along.
Another “representative” song is probably Stranger that you also could use as “wow” song.
He does have to on occasions but those are for the most part in places that aren't set up for a vocal performance or where the failure of equipment like ear monitors or wireless microphones can't easily be put right. It's been mentioned a few times that Dimash's voice is notoriously difficult to work with technically and that's why Erlan Bekchurin always travels with him to Sochi and Slavic Bazaar. Slavic Bazaar and Sochi are set up to be musical events and it would make no sense whatsoever for him to have done it there.
Also in the early days Dimash was not good at lip syncing, he has improved a bit but he's still nowhere near perfect at it.

I personally think SOS is always te 1st Dimash Song everybody needs to listen to. This is THE song to introduce Dimash, so it makes sense you always play that one. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Glad you changed the song. Really good choice. I think this was when Dimash had one week of English training to sing this as good as it got, for "I am Singer" in China. Sold it to me. Anyway. I forget. Had a good night on the town, and needed a good Dimash reaction. This was surely it. No one should give it up Dimash is one of a kind and Dimash sings what he wants and his music is a little different then the popular music that’s out there. He tries popular music and most critics don’t like it I love every thing he sings!!!! Especially the folk music he sings about his Country Kazakhstan! 🇺🇸❤️🇰🇿

I really like the formula you've settled on where you ask your guest a "story" question after the Dimash reaction, and then segue to another band (Nightwish), and then cut. Also, the switch to Adagio. Imo both these recent moves are great improvements to the already great overall idea and opening sequence that you've had since I first encountered you a while back (last year I think). Go Joel!
