We definitely need more priests like him! But, do You mean if it wasn’t for Fr. Meeks, you would leave the ONLY Church Jesus Christ established? Do you also mean that if it wasn’t for Fr. Meeks you would leave the Eucharist, the body, blood, soul and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ?

Hi Tim, sometimes I feel like you do. Sometimes I feel so down. But Jesus gave us the church. Just search out priest like Father Meeks and learn from them, join Father Mike Schmitz bible study, and then you become stronger to pass on the Faith. Don’t give up just because the church is in a rough patch, grow stronger in your faith. The church is guided by the Holy Spirit, and will always continue Jesus return. I will be praying for you Tim.

Hang in there Tim!! Remember the Eucharist!!! Jesus is always there for you in the Eucharist and the Church is the place where we receive the Eucharist- where we can intimately receive the Lord!! That is the link that will always keep me (gratefully!) close to the Church He gave us!!!

Never be tempted to leave the holy body , blood , soul & divinity of the Holy Eucharist nor any holy sacraments such as Holy Confession or the anointing of the sick or extreme unction..etc. No man on earth is worth leaving the treasures we have in the Catholic Church.
May we instead of complaining or lamenting , all pray for , have masses said for and make sacrifices for the shepherds ( priests) who need us

I know a lot of lost sheep..... the problem is that they do not want to hear the truth. I am surrounded by such people. It is sad to know that they are lost sheep including my own children. God help them with Jesus Christ to bring them to the light and the truth. I have tried to awake them with the truth by they just do not listen or understand it.

Do have children? Are any of your blood relatives (parents, siblings) anyone you care about still alive?
Would you care enough about them to protect from harm, injury or death?
I do. As with many caring people/family members, wanting the best for those they love is somewhat a priority.
I pray you have people around you who care deeply for your health and well-being.

You remain steadfast in your calling. You weathered the storms that buffeted you on your journey to this end. And because He knows we need the gifts we receive through you, your perseverance has been 10 fold a blessing to those who’s shepherds are sleeping. Your story is our story. To whom else shall we go Lord? Seek and ye shall find. Though this platform has many deviancies it has also the light of the world. For darkness cannot overcome the light. Praise God for His mercy and kindness through His gift of you to His people
Of whom he knows by name. Prayers for you and those who have wandered from the protection of His Holy Church.

You kept mentioning grace. Grace from God. Am I to take it you are a Tradionalist Catholic? The reason I ask is because you did not propose change comes from pleasure or pain alone.
I was quickly browsing of hedonism on the online Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy earlier today. It dawned on me when I read its separate sections on psycological hedonism and ethical hedonism that this philosophy has taken over much of the world and Catholicism. Conservative Catholics would fall under psychological hedonism, subscribing to the secular dictum about causing force of change in drug addicts, "An addict must hit rock bottom first." And liberal Catholics subscribe to ethical hedonism when justifying homosexuality, "whatever gives you pleasure and makes you happy." Observational science is different, though pleasure and pain might be motivators, if one observes mass homelessness on the streets of Skid Row Los Angeles and numerous opioid addicts on their 2nd or 3rd overdose requiring paramedics, then the hypothesis of "rock bottom" (pain) may be rejected. But you introduced a hypothesis of grace from God. Albeit, grace from God must be cooperated with.

Why are we skipping the gospel about the prodigal son? We've taken one of the most important parables in the gospel and made it optional to read??? A spiritual twilight zone if I have ever seen one.
