As for the "right of self-defense" for Israel, I would advise the senator to listen and watch the presentation of Ralph Wilde before the ICJ. According to International Law, there is no legal basis for that Israelian right. As a matter of fact, there is no legal basis for the existence of an exclusive Jewish state at all, nor is there a legal basis for a "two-state solution." Senator Warren and colleagues: When speaking of the Israeli hostages held by Hamas, don't forget that they are being held under the same conditions the Gazan populace is experiencing. If Gazans are going hungry, so are the hostages. If infrastructure is being destroyed and damaged in Gaza, it threatens the lives of the hostages as well as those of Gazan civilians. But the Israeli government and military seemingly could care less if starving Gazans resort to cannibalism; they actually seem excited at such a prospect. Please go in and enforce a ceasefire, if you have to; or demand that the UN or NATO go in and forcibly withdraw the IDF troops who gleefully use hungry civilians for target practice, when not looting women's underwear from empty homes...
You do not have to repeat every time the rights of Israelis to defend themselves. Occupiers do not have that right. Period.

Wow. It took her this long to say something. After how many tens of thousands of innocent unarmed Palestinians have died? Funny, like all US politicians she refused to use the word genocide for what Israel was and continues to do the the Palestinians. She also said that Israel should not receive a blank check. She omitted stating that Israel should receive no munitions and/or military aid unless they sign some document pledging to adhere to international laws of war. She also failed to disclose she received $298,428 from AIPAC. Of course that is pale in comparison to the $5,223,313 received by the (dis)honorable Joe Biden. She does a great job speaking of how Nethanyahu utilized Hamas to facilitate attacks on Israel and keeps a war going but fails to demand Israel remove him for power and prosecute him for such criminal actions. She speaks of the tragedy of what is happening to the Palestinians and urges their allies to facilitate the release of the Israeli hostages. Thus, she distinguishes the US as a non-allly of a Palestine but a supporter of Israel who does, and continues to do, the aforementioned wrongs. She also fails to advocate for the US, or anyone else, to provide military support to safeguard and/or defend them from the military atrocities Israel bestows upon them via US weapons.
In summary, she made a null argument.
