Thank you for your vids. My favourite live version of this song, Kaori's voice is very powerful here.

I am newly mesmerized by JAKE switching rapidly between the electric guitar strapped to his shoulder and the box guitar on a stand in front of him. Just watching him switching, he's so admirable.

I am now REALLY curious about KAORI singing this song now with her experience and mature voice with the Sound Horizon crew and maybe Yuuki backing her up vocally. It would be something!

1:27 sounds like "After General Ramirez", the line from Seisen no Iberia

    • @BrandonJohns

It's from Moira - Shiseru Eiyuutachi no Tatakai
There are descrepancies in the subs, but I think that it's the same line. "Follow General Amethystos"

@@BrandonJohns Sound Horizon has at least one song in each album with the line "Follow General (insert name here)" thrown in there since their early days, beginning with Chronicle 2nd :)

Kaori really got to let loose in this song. One of my favorites from her ever. She got to show her dynamics, range and different colors!
I really feel like she's not she's been fully maximized as a singer and artist in terms of her uniqueness.
Her look at 1:00! So mysterious and sultry at the same time. This kind of music fits her more than ballads though she can definitely sing those...
Her dynamic shift to a light but less breathy tone at 1:17 was a delight. Control!
Then the way she went up and breathy at 2:26 sounded just like how Miki would have done it. It's part of why I think they were often counterparts in their respective trios (Kaori with Yuki and EnMari) for the Harmonia/ Moira lives.
Then the build up from 3:17 to her soaring zmix belt which is her signature sound.
3:55 That smooth and quick octave jump was sweet! Again control and awareness. Not easy stuff at all at such a young age.

Man, what a shame that this was just one of the few songs where we can really hear Kaori Oda REALLY let loose her monster vocals

@@m-kshShe has to sing to rock ballads, and energetic music. That’s where the heaviness of the music matches her vocal and she doesn’t have to hold back.
I think she often has difficulty threading the needle of using a more controlled tone while singing emotional songs under Fiction Junction, where the feel is much more classically-based needing more refinement (for example, Yuriko’s approach) than power!
When she goes all out in FJ Music her doesn’t blend as well.
