    Thanks for the video! The great thing about .22lr suppressors these days is there really aren't any bad ones on the market (at least from established companies like CGS).

    Just ordered one today from Capital Armory. $513 out out the door including a thread adapter for my HK416 and Freedom Tax stamp. Unbeatable deal and it is considered one of the best aluminum cans made.

    I have this can. Super light and runs well on an M&P 22 Compact; very effective and very noticeable sound reduction on a hand gun. Also shot it on a Ruger 22 Charger and a Browning T Bolt. Stupid quiet on the T bolt.

    Rex Silentium SEG Rimfire would be cool to see. It's a bit longer than most rimfire cans, is modular, and has a wipe.

    I have a gemtech that started it's life as and outback and after8 years or so being a sealed can it started getting a little louder and I was afraid it might blow so I saw and add that for 200$ they would drill out the baffles thread the cap so it could be cleaned and change it into there new gm22 a mono core now I loosen the top right when I'm done before it cools and it's easy to clean and it's pretty quiet.

    Initially used can on Ruger American with Remington 22 subsonic ammunition sound was equivalent to those little white paper snaps you throw on the floor and they pop. Switched to federal 45 grain American eagle suppressor ammunition now I only hear the projectile hitting the wall

    If someone is not looking for the best value but best performance would you recommend the Dead Air Mask 22, Q El Camino, or the Thunder-beast 22 takedown for a rimfire suppressor (non-aluminum versions)? Thanks for the video, very detailed!!!

    • @apeshitcrazyman
      @apeshitcrazyman Před 2 lety

      I can answer from my experience with about 5 rimfire can, and i would reccomend the dead air mask and the thunderbeast takedown, as they both have great sound reduction, perhaps with the mask having better 'first round pop' reduction.

    I have a gemtech gm22 very light and quiet especially with sub sonic rounds I had one with a baffle stack but this one is monocore it seems alot cleaner than the baffles and very little first round Crack not crazy about the aluminum rather have stainless or titanium in a perfect world the the connection threads are titanium but it has held up quite well I clean it alot more often than the manufacturer recommends but it's mainly just unscrewing the top scraping the baffle back and fourth a few times tap the tube against the trash barrel and most of the crap in the tube falls out a little clp on and old tooth brush scrub it down whip it off put a little bit of grease with a titanium bass in it rub it on the threads and a little on the out side of the monocor screw it closed and it's like brand new the way it looks and performs

    For $250 I can buy a nice budget .22LR rifle and have change for a silencer and ammo. I made a few silencers for a .22LR myself for less than $5 each and it is working good. Now that is what I call affordable. Not $250.

I am watching the videos anyway and there are millions of comments all over youtube without any purpose. Why would me giving a comment make it any different?
      Anyway, I have lots and lots of things I do that I like apart from running my own business. Shooting - target and hunting, bike riding, on road and off, flying - RC models and full-size, fishing - fresh water and beach and deep sea, photography and a few other I put aside because of a lack of time and lost interest in the others like 4x4 driving, birding etc. So I think I did a lot of things in my life I find fulfilling.

      The funny thing about price is it changes. If I told you a price in this video from FOUR YEARS AGO and you looked it up now only to see a higher price, you’d be leaving a comment talking about how vastly different the price is after 4 years of inflation.
