Ayyy, they got the clap! I like how it's faster than original but still kept clean and that sound quality is amazing
thank you very much
What recording are you referring to as original ??
@@nyancs7098 i believe the one uploaded by the channel natureshadow is the original recording
And the smiles for it. The clap is so important to this piece and they had so much fun playing.
@@seanc.682 I think the one by half Leonard is the original
Lets give credit where credit is due, if that piccolo player misses one note it is over, phenomenal piccolo player!!!
Right she came to slay asf 💯💯‼️and show these bitches how it’s really done 😻
That's a flute.
@@writer5790 Technically, you could call it a Piccolo Flute but that would be pretentious. It is a Piccolo!
@@jncrook5409 piccolos are half the size of flutes and they play an octave higher. This is a regular flute. Look up the arrangement if you don't believe me.
@@writer5790 If you think I am talking about the solo at the beginning of the piece you’d be wrong. I am talking about the piccolo player in general since it is so exposed because of the high tessitura. I appreciate the instrument lesson though!
the soloist is incredible
Yes she lives and loves music. Thank you very much for your kind words.
The oboe soloist is amazing too, such a beautiful round tone. In my wind Ensamble we have the solo on soprano saxophone.
agreed
Wow a flute who can actually play out
@@keananokdude thatd make me so happy to hear it on soprano
as a trombone player, this piece is what keeps me motivated 💀
Me too
Same
my bone slide its bent, cant nail the ornaments. but it sounds great on my rotary valve euphonium...
Me but euphonium
The audio in this recording really is extraordinarily good - love the musicality too!! Yay horns
thank you very much.
Yay horns!
@@ameliakuennen4961 mello
Love horns❤️😘🫶😘❤️
Go horns!! 🤙🎺🎷
Awesome audio engineers! One of the clearest recordings I’ve ever heard. Really well done all around👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Thank you very much
German Engineering ;P
@@muffinrljojo reference?
That flutist and all the other people are gifted, so gifted!
No it's practice
@@purgemerlin123 They get it from practice but its a gift
@@purgemerlin123 it’s a blessing and gift love, not everyone has a deep passion for music like this and it’s something you work and practice to be better at. It is tough to find people out there with a passion and that are this good at playing. It’s a gift too to have those lungs.
Not just gifted. It’s mostly practice.
@@Iv723an I think you would find that it comes from practice. A lot of practice.
The trombone line at 2:43 is just incredible. Pure musical talent and emotion.
Horns, tubas, euphos, bari sax, alto sax, tenor sax, bassoon, and contra clarinet also play it. Maybe contrabassoon but idk
@Mailthehornplayer but trombone are the ones that play it all the way through most instruments stop by the 2nd time it repeats plus the trombones are the one mostly carrying the sound to that part
i would kill to play this song in concert😭 i just hope by that time i’m as good at oboe as their oboists
their tone is so pretty omg
Don’t worry I understand that feeling, tbh I’ve only been playing for a year and four months and my tone as gotten better significantly. I’m not sure how long you’ve been playing for but play with confidence! It all takes time and effort :)
Im a starting trombonist at are local band and iwanna play this with the trombone
I hope making my own reeds will help my horrible tone. I can’t find a teacher in my area so I’m gonna learn how to make them myself!
I love the trombone feature near the middle of the piece. What an amazing performance!
Same
and tuba… don’t forget them
@@doomguy49 and euph, we never get appreciated
Pretty much all brass minus trumpets
@@dirp_dcb9531 and bass and contra clarinet and bassoon and alto tenor and bari sax
my favorite part is the clap at 2:40. i like to see the contrabass on and bass clarinets smiles and faces 🙂
2:38
I just saw a middle school band play this piece, the fact that the German wind philharmonic is playing this is insane
a MIDDLE school band?! I played this in my high school's highest band, it's certainly not an easy song!
@@jessethejoyful lol im in 7th grade and we played this for I&E, it was pretty ez nil
i like how low brass actually gets attention in songs and has there own special part thats adds alot to the song without just being a bass.
I keep coming back to this video. The piece is amazing in itself, but this is my favourite rendition of it.
Thank you very much, we give our best when we are playing.
This is so technical and beautiful and on the mark. It's less aggressive though?? Like, it's so beautifully executed that it almost lacks some of that aggressive brass ripping I've come to be familiar with in this piece. I just cant hear that the French horns and trumpets had the red ring of death on their lips afterwards! So amazing and delicate :) Hübsch
My complements to the video production team! Not an easy live event to capture. WELL DONE!
Thanks
At 4:25 when they hit that climax brought tears to my eyes. They all rose up as a band and the cord was perfect. Amazing
I absolutely love how the bass clarinet gets recognized during the oboe feature. That is technically my “solo” since I’m the only bass clarinet in wind ensemble. I absolutely love this piece so much
Wow, die Passion der Solistin ist unglaublich.
Wunderbar! Hervorragende Leistung!!
Ich habe dieses Stück kürzlich gefunden und liebe es absolut
I like how a bunch of the musicians were smiling at the clap at 2:38. They really had fun with this.
Fr
I’m really hoping to push my band director to have us play this song
Though after last year and a VERY difficult song choice, I’m not sure he’ll take the risk on a song as technical as this
Who knows we also played a different Sam Hazo song for that Same concert that went excellent so he may consider it
I asked mine if we could and he said yes, did you ever have any luck?
My band director said it wasn’t hard enough for what he wanted to do. Because arabesque is a class 4 and he wants to do all class 5 pieces
@@exothermic1942 eh same!!! It's a super fun peice.
@@justayoungpercussionist9370 damn okay
Props to the percussionist in the back that dropped their stick at 2:28
lol I didn’t see that
Good eye!
the amount of smiles that filled the stage when you did the clap, i love this so much
By far the best performance of the song! Especially the flute solo. That's amazing!
love how they took this a bit faster while still keeping it clean! my favorite recording so far :)
Thai is probably one of if not the best recordings of Arabesque in my opinion, and I can't get over how good the overall band sonority is
I like they way they smile
😅
I’m absolutely so excited to play this at my high school concert band comp!! 👏🏻😍
I always will love this song no matter how many times it’s been played or who plays this song.
it will always sound so freaking good.
also I really like this performance and that it’s played at a little bit of a quicker tempo
I love how casually that timpani player hit that sick asf solo
I really dig the hair on the flutist sitting next to the soloist. So fancy.
Fr
4:40 great horn riff. Amazing Job.
thank you very much from our horn players. 👍👍👌👌
Great Flute and Oboe. Amazing piece!
undoubtably the best recording of this out there. I struggle to listen to other now after hearing this one.
In my opinion this is undoubtedly the best recording of this piece on the internet
Those timpani’s and trombones go hard
The low brass sound is so full I love it so freaking nuch
Those trumpets are insane
Which part?
@@theentirestateofalaska.4983 he probably means around 3:00
4:17 The trombone harmony is my favorite part
top tier.
Thanks!
Playing 1st trumpet in this for my high school LGPE piece. Pray for me
How did it go?
@@CrowJoestar pretty well, got an overall 1 but I’m not sure the breakdown of how we did on each piece. I think we got a 1 on arabesque though
I wish I could be as talented as Flute 1. Good job!
the clarinets are so good! i dont think ill ever get to that level of skill but i hope i will
Omg I'm so scared got 1st clarinet 2nd chair for honor band
That clap was absolutely ✨crispy✨
this is the best recording of arabesque i’ve ever heard! incredible dynamics! especially the low brass feature, it’s so clear
Ugh this is such a cool piece. Looks like everyone is having so much fun!
I wish with my whole soul that my band could play this
yes we had ;)
I went to Duquesne with Sam Hazo. Remarkable individual who worked hard at everything
absolutely incredible performance! Still one of my favorite songs from high school.
I love that one trombone part! Absolutely iconic.
I honestly prefer this version over the original recording, so awesome!!🙂
The flautist is sensational! A challenging piece altogether.
Amazing recording!! LOVE the low brass!!
The trombones sound so amazing
Holy cow! I uploaded my marching band arrangement of Arabesque, and then I was whisked way to this performance. The playing, sound quality, and excitement is unbelievable! Congratulations on a spectacular performance!
The director was so happy and proud of them❤
Maan, that lick ar 2:40 is amazing, I hope I can play it with my band. It just sounds awesome.
Who would've thought Samuel Hazo would make Belly Dancing music so epic. Great recording and visuals, too!
Thank you very much
We are currently playing this, and I just want to say, from a high school senior, these players are still the best I’ve heard play this so far
at 2:43 trombones hit the most sauciest lick in trombone history.
WUNDERBAR!!!
Excellent !
thank you very much!!
Played this my junior of band. We had so much fun, especially during the clap. And it had a lot of percussion which I like lol I’m a percussionist
Heart out to the piccolo player
Am a flute player myself and I would love to try this song
Conga dude just vibing, I’m doing this in my highschools wind ensemble and also playing congas
The clap followed by the 👍 from the conductor is nice
I would love to hear this in person ❤ they are so great
You wouldn’t think it’d be that different in person but bass is so much more noticeable when you’re there
I loved this song because it had a middle eastern vibe to it
Those xylophone rolls are super clean
I've been waiting for someone else to notice!
our percussion team are also happy you heard it ;)
as a timpani player, im dying to play this piece
Bravo, german comrades!
This was the last piece my Wind Ensemble played in High School, this recording brought back so many great memories for me, I'm sitting here crying because of how beautiful 4:35 is. Thank you so much, I wish I was there.
Dam bam dam bam dam bam CLAP
Ok I’ve watched this at least 267 times

Is see that French horn in the left. His cues just make everything so DAMN GOOOD
diese Musik war der Hammer!! 🔥
I love the trombones
near the ending is so majestic and beautiful at 4:34
Samuel Hazo would be so proud of this
You say that as if he's dead
2:43 Trombone's got that dawg in him.
A: that’s a spicy clap
B: love 2:42, low brass swag for life
our low brass made a great job. Thanks for your comentar ❤❤
That was wonderful, I'm thoroughly delighted!
They sound amazing
