I’ll be installing a 1” block on my 2020 frontier as soon as USPS shows up, and this video gave me the confidence I needed to take on the task. Thank you, brotha. Great video!
Genius: Installed 3" blocks in 2005 Toyota Tacoma V6 Prerunner. This is the best video/method needed to install a rear leveling kit/Blocks. Thank you for the great video you have created=Practicality & great results. Thank you.
Thanks for the real world video. Bc most of us don’t have lifts in our driveways and have to do stuff the old school method. So thank you for this video bc I’m wanting to install these on my Colorado.
After watching your Bilstein video i just changed all of mine on my jeep to 5100 Bilstein front and rear and man what a difference it rides fantastic,,,
Word of advice. I did this and it absolutely worked! However, engage the parking brake and go easy with the floor jack. Lifting the leaf spring will cause it to Misalign. Easily lift the jack EASY. Once you start lifting the leaf spring, try your best to keep an eye on the little butt that’s going to sit on the lift block. I recommend 2 people. Just be careful lifting the spring and aligning it. It took about an hour and a half. This video definitely helped!
Nice. I de-chromed my 08 Tundra with Plasti Dip. Much cheaper than buying the bumper covers. My truck is about same color as one in this video. It’s been about 1 year since dip, no big problems just a little touchup here and there for some rock chipping.
This method worked great for what I needed to do! Mechanic put one block backwards and caused a major vibration and got it flipped around in no time doing it this way at home. Thank you kindly for posting!!!
it sits nice now with that 1inch block, maybe get the chrome vinal wrapped with the same colour as the front grill or the rim's if there is a place close to you that does car wrap
Will the leaf spring fall into place with the holes with a 3" block? You dont think I will have trouble and I'll have to move the wheel around without dropping the whole rear end?
Iv got to uninstall 1 inch blocks in my f150. In a garage with no fancy jacks. Trying ti figure out how to do this. Probably easy but kind of baffling me how to pull this off Hopefully this video helps !
You left out the hardest part which is when the leaf spring inevitably doesn't line up with the pins in the block. That has happened to me on any truck I've done this job on. Then you have to muscle the axle around to get it to line up which you wouldn't have been able to do with the tires still on the truck.
Dont put the chocks directly against the wheel you are working on when you start, but do put more chocks on the otherside. Put the chocks on the side you a working on very close, but not against. This will allow you to be able to wiggle the wheel ever so slightly in either direction to get it to line up Lower the truck onto the block just enough that it begins to apply pressure, then when you wiggle the wheel you should hear the peg pop in
Si es el mismo proceso yo tengo una Tacoma 2008 ayer mire este video y hoy mismo le puse esos bloques de elevación a mi troca , hice lo mismo que el fue tan fácil no necesité quitar las llantas. Gracias al amigo por este video
Anybody know if this method can be used to install a kit like this on an 2001 Tacoma crewcab, I'm just trying to save my son a little money on his project truck !!!
Thanks for this tutorial. Worked great on my ‘06 Tundra! My mechanic, who assisted me, was impressed with the simplicity of this method.

Super helpful! This was the perfect answer to my problem of a very limited tool selection.
Nicely Done! Good project to do on my 4.6 2012 SR5
I was about to have my local shop do this. Super easy the way you did it.

I also put 5100s on my silverado, rides decently but i think i need lift keys or new torsion bars next lol still feels goosy

How did you know what block it was?
@@pedromadera4783 I bought them originally and then also measured them

Really helpful! Worked on my chevy Colorado.
appreciate the confirmation. I'm going to be doing this on my Colorado this weekend.
Wow. I thought that should work. Off to the garage
Thank you sir. Very helpful

worked great on my taco sr/dc thanks and sub 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you , This method worked great on my 2019 Tacoma OR
Any issues so far? Since it’s the rear how’s the drive quality? Any vibrations or does it need alignment
@@Tfy. The truck drives good after the install. No issues yet. This is my daily, No vibration from the rear and I have not gotten and alignment.
Is the front end lifted at all? If so how much and what brand?
Thanks for the video sr
Do you have a link to the blocks you got?
Looks good.
If I install this with stock shocks will I need longer shocks?

No link to the kit?
May try this on an 05 tundra! 👍
Wow why didn't I think of that I've been doing it wrong the whole time
Good job look to easy

Is it okay to do it when my driveway has a slant
No don’t do that unless you have blocks around your wheels. It’ll cause axle wrap
Is it ok to add blocks with stock hangers???
No don’t you need more thread
It’s the same process for the tacoma? Anyone knows ?

Can you do it this way if you have a 2inch block ?
yes you can.
The trash can workbench got the like.
Anyone try this on a Tacoma ?
Dumb question here, but do you have to get an alignment after installing rear blocks?
not for the rear, no.
@@pkloehe thanks for the response! I finally figured it out but there was a lot of conflicting information that I was coming across.
Looks to me to rear wheel is off the ground slightly?
