This product is available from 2 different sellers on Amazon:
We bought it from this seller:
    amzn.to/3HVk1RJ
Another seller has listed the same product for a lesser price:
    amzn.to/33uutAR
    Price history:
Right now, we see that the Mini PC is priced at Rs.17,499. During 2021, it was selling for 9,999 for a few days and 12,999 for the most part of the festival season (Dussera, Diwali). Looks like the price increased significantly now, probably because of the shortage of computing equipment worldwide. At 17,999 it is NOT a good deal because it is in the zone of a fully built machine with Athlon 3000G, a CPU which is much faster. At 12,999 with additional discounts is worth a buy. At 9,999, it is a very good deal.
    -----------
Also, there is another model named X2000.
    It is available on Amazon:
    Vamaa:
    amzn.to/34YdXty
    Ezzotech:
    amzn.to/3A3CUzg
This model was selling for 9990 during Dussera & Diwali. There was a Rs.1000 instant discount for Prime Members. Along with that, there was also an additional 10% discount for various cards during the festival season.
X2000 looks similar on paper with its 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD, but, compared to the C1867 model that we reviewed in this video, it is much slower because of the older generation processor, DDR3 RAM only which again is limited to a maximum of 8GB. It you have to choose between both, C1867 should be your choice, even if X2000 costs a couple of thousand Rupees less.
Note: On Amazon, click "See all buying options" to display the price.
Disclosure: Product links may generate affiliate revenue for us. The pricing remains the same at your end though.

Which one does this pc support through slot and by the bios, m.2 sata or pcie or nvme?
Please can you recommend a good but not expensive m.2 ssd (supported model) and a 4gb 2400mhz sdram for this mini pc. Thanks in advance

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před 2 lety +1

Sir, it supports M.2 NVMe SSD.
As with the brand of SSD, Crucial would be a good choice since it comes with Momentum Software which uses a portion of RAM as a buffer for the SSD. This not only makes the IOPS faster, but also increases the life of the SSD.
One of these options should do:
      P2 250GB : amzn.to/3m5zEwC
      P5 250GB : amzn.to/3kQlfoK
(This second one is better since it has twice the TBW, but wait for the price, it normally sells for Rs.4500). While there are other 250GB SSD options from Rs.3600, the extra money for Crucial is actually spent for the Momentum Software which is very good value.
As with RAM, I would suggest you to go for 8GB instead of 4GB since the price difference is not much. Cruicial is a reliable option, it's the most cost effective option as well. Extending the RAM by 8GB or 16GB will increase the total memory to 12GB or 20GB respectively. This will help the SSD's "Momentum Software" to allocate 3GB and 4GB respectively for SSD cache. Keep in mind that "Momentum" maxes out at 25% or 4GB of available RAM, so, going beyond the 16GB will fetch no additional advantage. Here are the RAM's:
      Crucial 8GB: amzn.to/3ohjanJ
      Crucial 16GB: amzn.to/3D01EbI
There are other RAM's (SFS Models) from Crucial which are Rs.50 cheaper, but, I suggest you stick to this (FRA Models) since they have better bandwidth.
      Thanks & Regards, Vishnu.

@@ArjunAndVishnu Thank you for the detailed response, much appreciated, does the bios support m.2 NVMe ssd?
With your understanding and knowledge, you should also make videos on best upgrade options for stock PCs and laptops, that will be a much sought after video as many buy stock laptops and PCs from online stores but have little idea on the upgrade options.
You can start with this mini pc, Seems there are many upgrade options with so many slots, two m.2 slots a ram slot, two sata slots.
One another video could be how to clone the OS to another ssd or m.2 when you upgrade.

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před 2 lety

Sir, thank you very much for the valuable suggestions. We sure will try to do helpful tech videos about upgrades. Actually, we run a website called FreeSupport.in where we take tech questions and answer for free. This was never asked earlier, so, we did not do it either. Most of the questions we get asked are about Web Servers, DNS Records, Domain Transfers and so on, but looks like hardware upgrades can address a wider audience as you pointed out. We know a fair bit about hardware, so, should be fun and we will start with this Mini PC.
You asked if the BIOS supports M.2 NVMe SSD, I suppose you want to know if we can boot from it. We checked the UEFI BIOS, but it shows only the devices that are already installed (To be selected as boot devices). We have "Boot Option Priorities" and "Hard Drive BBS Priorities", the former which will be enabled if the UEFI finds a bootable drive and the latter which will be enabled if the slot is populated. Right now, since there is no device, the option to choose does not show up either. We will let you know the right answer if we happen to install the M.2 device. Regards, ArjunAndVishnu.

Sir, the one we purchased arrived new. it's probably not better than popular brands when it comes to availability of service, but it does cost less upfront. We searched for HP's and Dell's as well but we found that even the refurbished mini pc's were costing above Rs.15,000. The newer ones were even more. This was the only one under 10k and it's worth that exact price, nothing more. Don't buy it above 10k, there are other options for that money.

You are absolutely right. Windows comes in different licenses:
      1) Retail License
As you mentioned, this license is interchangeable across motherboards.
      2) OEM License
This license is for company made desktops and laptops and is tied to that particular motherboard.
      3) Volume License
This license is usually for companies and comes in both forms.
We have seen a lot of websites that spawned up recently which are selling license keys for Rs.1000 or less. Although, they get activated alright, these might be Volume License keys bought on some companies name and are intended for their internal use only. We must refrain from buying them because if Microsoft cancels their Volume License, all the keys get deactivated as well. It is highly advisable to buy the right kind of license.
